On WPCentral they are mentioning Mango v.7721 ...
I thought Mango has build # 7720. Or did I missed out on something?

they possibly mistyped Mango 7712, which was a beta upgrade from 7661.

Depending on your provider go to this sub-forum and get the pre-nodo so you can unlock and then go through the steps to get up to 7720

The version number has to increase from the original when it has been modified, otherwise it would be the same ROM.

Sorry guys, I know this is a bit dumb question. I am new to this whole thing.
I wonder why do people need to flash their phone to 7714 when there is a RTM 7720 available in the website? Isn't 7720 RTM the final build?
Again, I know it is stupid but I really don't know.
Pls , someone post a link to 7720 or 7714 update.
Its like in one of the first threads in development and hacking

nope, 7720 is the RTM, you will have to wait for your manufacturer to release final Mango
in 7712 the manufacturers ve added OEM part to the mango b2 build, but the final mango is jst out from MS jst like its supposed to release. Later when the manufacturer gets their hands on Mango they will add the base Drivers aka OEM, n then it will be out to everyone.
moreover in 7712 the drivers already exist n its unlocked. but in final mango released by MS is locked, n u cant side load apps n also it aint allow chevron.
Hey! I just flashed the rtm rom of Mango onto my HD7 then zune asked me to update my phone with the HTC update. It seems that it turned 32-bit colors from the 7720.68 mango to 16-bit. Now it has the banding issue. i want to ask if there are other people experiencing the same issue?! I have an unlocked TMous HD7

Sorry to ask, but could you please let me know how to edit that registry key in WP7 Mango? As far as I know, Microsoft already locked the registry editor function in Mango.
Thanks

You need to be unlocked & have TouchXplorer side loaded before Mango. Create a Custclear.provxml with the registry edits. Copy it to \Windows\ of your device using TouchXplorer/USB Storage Hack. Installe HTC Connection Setup from Market & run it, hit the "check" button. It'll apply the registry edits in the ProvXML. This is the same method for passing Unlock into Mango.

Build 7720 - Now updated with keeping chevron and how to add more languages
I have updated my phone to ISV beta [7720] update (beta 2?) and i don't know if my phone is like the Final Mango build that was released in September October?
If it isn't could someone please provide me instructions to get to it?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1287505
I pretty much did what that thread did but without U2M7720. My phone can run touchexplorer and connectionsetup and also deploy xap files.
OS version: 7.10.7720.68
si
yes it is final
Then what is this interop unlock thing??
I just realised after reading some forums that there were 2 updates for ISV beta mango clean up which i never got.
My Phone info
OS version : 2.10.7720.68
Zune info:
Version: 4.8.2345.0
I live in New Zealand
I tried going on update and it says my phone is at its most updated version
Now i heard there was a 7740 update but i don't know which version my phone is on. ISV Mango beta 2 or Mango RTM
Can someone please explain it to me!
You are clean, donĀ“t worry
Then can i use that offline tool and update to 7740 ?
