[Q] Restore original from DFT ROM 7713 HTC - Windows Phone 7 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I installed mango build 7713 but i wanna reverse it to my original nodo, with this custom rom i can't update anymore with Zune
How to do this?
i'm using trophy 7
thx

Depending on your provider go to this sub-forum and get the pre-nodo so you can unlock and then go through the steps to get up to 7720

i bought a unbranded htc trophy in december '10, i'm downloading this rom and i hope its the good one

The version number has to increase from the original when it has been modified, otherwise it would be the same ROM.

Hi, I downloaded and applied this rom to go back to default/stock/branded Vodafone Australia, but now everytime I try to update Nodo, I get error 80180048 and update fails. Is that the original rom, are you able to provide me with it?
Cheers

Yes, I am aware this is a Trophy rom. I have 2 phones, a trophy and a mozart.
I flashed my Telstra Mozart before with roms you provided to unbrand, but OS was older than 7004 and I flashed back to stock using another rom you provided.
Here my issue is with a Vodafone Trophy phone. I flashed the rom provided, but I can't get update past 7008. It gives me error 80180048 every time. Do you have any "unmodified/unsigned" rom for Australia Vodafone Trophy that I can use to set it back to stock so I can get NoDo update?
Cheers

This is common issue with your rom and has nothing to do with the carrier approving ROM, I can confirm that Vodafone AU and NZ are both approved for 7392..
When will you fix this issue with your ROMS's?
Important Note
Hi,
I successully updated to 7008, 7392, 7403 and ISV Beta 7712 MangoB2 using the ROM in post#1
This ROM is used as an unbranded one for another operator branded device
A total unbranded ROM created and proved that i was right
The total unbranded ROM updates up to 7008 only!!!
So all 1.07 ROMs are not approved to 7392 and further updates
Since hTC does not provide stock ROMs in public, i will create another ROM for AU operator
Post #1 updated
Regards, ansar
Thanks for the great work ansar!
At least I know I can go back to NoDo if my backup fails

To Be honest, I really don't trust these ROM's you are producing. I had to unbrand my device and flash a WWE rom to fix my issues as you didn't seem to be available to help.
can't download from repidshear please someone upload it to midiafire for resume support plz

Second this, can someone please provide a mirror? I tried getting this years ago and gave up after weeks of 'your download limit exceeded' despite getting nothing else from Rapidshare, and looks like the same thing now.

Hi,
Then for sure Vodafone_NZ is not yet approved for 7392 NoDo
I will prepare an unbranded RUU_Spark_Vodafone_NZ_1.09.707.07_Radio_5.50.09.15 _22.23.50.09U ROM
This has been tested that updates to 7392 NoDo in Vodafone_FR devices
Regards, ansar
My friend has the same handset and has updated to 7392 no problems and my phone was also on this version before I installed your rom and went back to 7004.
If you could prepare that ROM I would really appreciate it.
Cheers

Hi,
Any news on that ROM? I need to get that to update to Mango beta.
Thanks
Still waiting Ansar...
I'm a little concerned that this is a problem that potentially many others will be having.
Do you have another VFNZ Rom with a different bootloader? OR do you know of another VFNZ rom from another Dev..
No offence, but this is a fairly serious bug and perhaps you should warn people who install you ROM's that they wont be able to upgrade.
I appreciate your hard work, but I really need to have my device on 7392 so I can update to the latest Mango for app dev.
Could please let me know the timeframe for this rom you promised? Or if I need to purchase a new handset?

[Q] 7720 and 7714

Sorry guys, I know this is a bit dumb question. I am new to this whole thing.
I wonder why do people need to flash their phone to 7714 when there is a RTM 7720 available in the website? Isn't 7720 RTM the final build?
Again, I know it is stupid but I really don't know.
Pls , someone post a link to 7720 or 7714 update.
Its like in one of the first threads in development and hacking

nope, 7720 is the RTM, you will have to wait for your manufacturer to release final Mango
in 7712 the manufacturers ve added OEM part to the mango b2 build, but the final mango is jst out from MS jst like its supposed to release. Later when the manufacturer gets their hands on Mango they will add the base Drivers aka OEM, n then it will be out to everyone.
moreover in 7712 the drivers already exist n its unlocked. but in final mango released by MS is locked, n u cant side load apps n also it aint allow chevron.

[Q] HTC HD7 HTC Update 16-bit banding issues

Hey! I just flashed the rtm rom of Mango onto my HD7 then zune asked me to update my phone with the HTC update. It seems that it turned 32-bit colors from the 7720.68 mango to 16-bit. Now it has the banding issue. i want to ask if there are other people experiencing the same issue?! I have an unlocked TMous HD7

Sorry to ask, but could you please let me know how to edit that registry key in WP7 Mango? As far as I know, Microsoft already locked the registry editor function in Mango.
Thanks

You need to be unlocked & have TouchXplorer side loaded before Mango. Create a Custclear.provxml with the registry edits. Copy it to \Windows\ of your device using TouchXplorer/USB Storage Hack. Installe HTC Connection Setup from Market & run it, hit the "check" button. It'll apply the registry edits in the ProvXML. This is the same method for passing Unlock into Mango.

hmm ok thx,
but the page says :
WARNING TO ALL:
Do NOT use RSPL / HSPL with Mozart 4.XX and other RUU ROMS with MANGO.
All WP7F devices affected: MOZART, GOLD, SCHUBERT, MONDRIAN, SPARK!
It will damage your device. Not a joke.
what does this mean i should not isntall mango freedom update?
yea that means while in rspl/hspl do not flash stock roms of mango but u want to flash a custom rom which the only way to do that is to have rspl/hspl ur safe, but if u wish to go to stock mango rom later u must first flash pre-nodo or nodo rom in order to get spl back then u may flash mango...
