[Q] HTC HD7 HTC Update 16-bit banding issues - Windows Phone 7 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hey! I just flashed the rtm rom of Mango onto my HD7 then zune asked me to update my phone with the HTC update. It seems that it turned 32-bit colors from the 7720.68 mango to 16-bit. Now it has the banding issue. i want to ask if there are other people experiencing the same issue?! I have an unlocked TMous HD7

Sorry to ask, but could you please let me know how to edit that registry key in WP7 Mango? As far as I know, Microsoft already locked the registry editor function in Mango.
Thanks

You need to be unlocked & have TouchXplorer side loaded before Mango. Create a Custclear.provxml with the registry edits. Copy it to \Windows\ of your device using TouchXplorer/USB Storage Hack. Installe HTC Connection Setup from Market & run it, hit the "check" button. It'll apply the registry edits in the ProvXML. This is the same method for passing Unlock into Mango.

Depending on your provider go to this sub-forum and get the pre-nodo so you can unlock and then go through the steps to get up to 7720

The version number has to increase from the original when it has been modified, otherwise it would be the same ROM.

[Q] 7720 and 7714

Sorry guys, I know this is a bit dumb question. I am new to this whole thing.
I wonder why do people need to flash their phone to 7714 when there is a RTM 7720 available in the website? Isn't 7720 RTM the final build?
Again, I know it is stupid but I really don't know.
Pls , someone post a link to 7720 or 7714 update.
Its like in one of the first threads in development and hacking

nope, 7720 is the RTM, you will have to wait for your manufacturer to release final Mango
in 7712 the manufacturers ve added OEM part to the mango b2 build, but the final mango is jst out from MS jst like its supposed to release. Later when the manufacturer gets their hands on Mango they will add the base Drivers aka OEM, n then it will be out to everyone.
moreover in 7712 the drivers already exist n its unlocked. but in final mango released by MS is locked, n u cant side load apps n also it aint allow chevron.

Is there way to flash the Mango RTM?

Guys, I wanted to check if there is a possibility to flash the Mango RTM from Zune or from an Exe file?
The reason I was asking was, I have a T-Mobile USA HD7 that I flashed the Euro ROM. But I am not sure I got the appropriate radio for the US carrier. So I was hoping if there is a possibility to get the RTM of the Mango..
Also, I did not notice much difference between the RTM and the current version of the OS.
thanks for your help in advance.

[Q] HTC Mozart Update to mango !

Hey....
I am having HTC mozart running mango rtm (updated using RCTORTM method ) which is developer unlocked allowing me to sideload only 3 apps , i have a backup made for my nodo.... now since the official mango has released , i wanted to know how can i update to offical mango , do i have to downgrade to nodo to do dat..... and how can i unlock mango so dat i could sideload more than 3 apps , do i need to manually place custclear.provxml file to windows directly in nodo ... or there is a better way now to unlock....
plz help.......... I would be really thankful if somebody helps me out since i m not able to understand the methods in other threads....
Sorry , if my ques is a noob one.... plz help
plz help someone !!!!
hey buddy, I'm a mozart user which upgraded from mango RTM...
Actually, mango RTM is already the final version, once you connect your device to Zune, what you will get is only the HTC update( for drivers and fixes). Therefore, there are no mango final version, what you see now,is what you get now.
However, I not sure after you upgraded the HTC update,it'll affect the unlock(side load apps or not)
Because my device is not unlocked...and i never side load apps
