Having an odd problem w/ the MLB app on my G2x and was wondering if anyone else was experiencing it. The radio feed has thrower constant skips wherebit sounds like it's catching up with itself - like the announcer will be calling the play but skip forward a few milliseconds. I've noticed this while running different ROMs - EB and Weapons - but have not noticed anything on my Nexus S. Any ideas what it might be or how to fix it?

I'm getting an error message when I attempt to play video from various sites (MSNBC, ESPN, for example):
You do not have permission to open this page...
And when I do get to a page and video does play, the audio sounds awful - it's slowed way down, to the point of not being able to understand anything.
Anyone else experience anything like this?
I just tried out ESPN and MSNBC and I got the same "You don't have permission" messege. I don't, however, have any audio issues with the sites that have worked (so far anyways). I went to TBS.com and watched some Family Guy episodes with no issues.
Funny, Family Guy played fine on tbs.com (audio was fine too!) I'll try to get an example of one that doesn't have good audio...

Tried the Green Hornet preview...huge lag before audio started. When it did, it was extremely slow...couldn't understand any of it.

I checked the sony site out, and got a little flash icon (9), so I assume I don't have the most updated version...will look into that.
I'm on eb16 with p-n-p, a touch of color rom, voodoo, and the latest flash from the market. Video from the above link (sony) plays but my audio is weird as well. I tried this on 3g though not on wifi.

If I try to snap a picture while listening to music, the music stops. Anyone have any suggestions for this? Am I the only one with this problem?

im guessing it stops because you could be able to switch to camcorder or because it uses the SD card, my HD2 allows me to listen to music, but as soon i take a picture it skips while the song is playing. im guessing that is why
What are you guys using to listen to music? At one time, I had downloaded an unlimited version of Pandora. Now, the ads are killing me with the market version. What other services or solutions do you guys have to listening to music?

im still rockin the unlim version.... I will never update... those ads are bothersome!!! but hey thats how they make their money... so oh well...
Lol same, wish it had 4.0 update so I can skip in the notification bar but u can't complain with unlimited skips.

I'm using Slacker radio seems so much better even though on some roms volume+ wont work with it

I loved slacker however it insists on running all the time and causes a pretty massive ammount of partial wakelocks. Cached content is an amazing feature though especially when you work out in the bush or out of service area.

I was using slacker, but it was getting repetative like Pandora, not to mention expensive, soon many different tier's and in my opinion, too much forethought to personalize the stations..
I enjoy DJ mixes and a variety of mainstream music, right now I use
Fit Radio (great DJ mixes hip hop, electronic, and rock.. has volume level fluctuation and I haven't looked into it, randomly force closes)..
And TuneIn radio.. its like a free version of Sirius radio
My advice would be to pay the Buck for the pro version, says benefit is abuliry to record but I've noticed 2 or 3 times the amount of podcast and world stations. Also quality and connection seemed to improve as well.
All depends on the type of music, and how often you listen, and if you use headphones, Bluetooth or wired to audio Jack..

Only certain songs with a particular frequency of mid bass cause just my right channel to have a "bwop" sound on the beat for that particular frequency instead of completely clean sound like I get on the left channel.
I have no dsp settings enabled. This happens in Pandora and PlayerPro, with headphones and through the headphone jack to my car stereo aux. The problem exists at any volume.
I'm running a stable release of cm9 meant for my att skyrocket.
** this even used to happen on my old captivate w/cm7!!** (but on both channels)
I know this sounds like nitpicking but I play all my music through my car stereo and this "bwop" sound makes it sound like I'm blowing a speaker and I'm an audiophile and it kills me to hear something like this when I know there should be something I can do to fix it.
I often listen to electro genre and it happens to use this frequency a lot more often. An example today was Wolfgang Gartner - Montezuma.

See the reference, Wolfgang Gartner - Montezuma. However this happens in a lot of electro or house. I'm not really a Deadmau5 fan but almost all his songs create this issue too

I'm a pretty hardcore deadmau5 fan and can say I never hear anything like you describe. Dunno what else to say,

Has this issue always plagued you on cm9 on the skyrocket? Or after a certain update?
It would be strange to say it's ROM related because it happened to you on cm7 and cm9, AND on different devices.. But, have you tried a different ROM on your skyrocket? Same results?

Seems like an isolated issue. (that I've herd of)
Only other thing I could think of was the peripheral that is playing the sound. Is there other headphones, or another vehicle to test on?
It would bug me.. I have a blown speaker in my car (bad wiring) So I haven't listened to music in it for months.
It's always been on the only rom I've run on this. I'm going to try my girlfriends S3 and see what happens..

I lowered vm heap to 128 because 256 is ridiculous. But it didn't make a difference. Maybe 64.

I have found PowerAmp to run pretty smoothly, with slight bumps when switching on or connecting bluetooth. Quite probably a question of processor/memory allocation. The other skips are attributable to alerts from email and other apps that tend to interrupt. In general, though I've found the app does a pretty good job in filtering out such interruptions.

i third poweramp, or you can try flashing team ac!d's audio hack or whatever it is, you can find a thread for it in the infuse dev section, if you decide to try it please report you findings as my gf is getting very annoyed by the skipping and if its a solution thats great
Well my wife mostly uses pandora. Amd thats where its the worst due to wifi streaming as well as the rest of the reasons.

For Pandora, it's just because of the data connection.
Otherwise it is because of the buffer size that we have on out jellybean.
I found a perfect fix for that problem.
Install player pro with DSP manager
Go to setting then sound. You will see buffer size and putridity. Make both maximum. Then music will not lag anymore.

i say increase the minimum CPU GHZ from 0.1 to .2.... it happened to me as well and increasing that helped me with my infuse and my brother's captivate so the music wont skip.
