As title says, after moding my DS with latest VOIDU mod, when i get called, i first have to unclock my phone and then i can accept call, which before, on stock rom, when call came, i didnt have to unlock it first, i could answer it straight away with touching my screen.
Any help available?
Doesn't sense 3.0 have the answer and decline circles instead of the four shortcuts. Are you sure you're not unlocking instead of dragging the icons. I don't get many calls so can't help you more than that. Sorry

It's sense 3.0 lockscreen. You aren't unlocking your phone. You are answering the call + unlocking at the same time.
Ohh, yeah, i had turned on Android lockscreen and i had that security pin drawing thingie so i guess it wasnt compatible with sense3..
Thank you guys.

Is there a way to make the send key for example the only way to answer a call? I have accidentally either rejected a call or answered a call I didnt want to answer, or made ghost calls when its in mycase or pocket because the on screen answer/reject gets touched. Locking the device doesnt work, as ANY notification unlocks it.
Ideas?
get s2u2 that has slide to answer or reject which you can ignore and just use buttons
or get the updated dialer from htc which also has it
HTC Dialer
Dear lbhocky19,
Where to get the updated HTC Dialer?
Thanks in advance!
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=464286
and if you update your rom pretty much all of them have it
Wow - a million times, thank you!
I've been beating my head in over this ever since I upgraded from an old rom (monx 1.51). First I though it was S2U2, then the new lock in 6.5, then the new lock in the newer versions of 6.1.
In the words of Yzma, "why do we even _have_ that setting (lever)?!?"
hate it.
have missed lot of incoming calls due to it.
is there an app to remove it or replace it with something else?
Idk if they replace it, but have you tried lockbot or lock2.0?
i got a post on general with the same question.
I saw a "shake phone" apps on market awhile ago but i forgot what it call.
Maybe you can answer calls by flip/shake it.
try "no lock". It works fine on my X10

this works.
thanks.
also has a widget to quick enable disable the screen lock
BoD No Lock
BoD No Lock Works perfectly to remove the default lock screen and re-enable it when required, and best of all its free and simple and come with a nice GUI widget.
Doesn't solve the problem at all, calls are still being locked.
While i don't mind unlock the screen if i am not receiving calls so it doesn't click any "widgets" on the screen. I think it is worse then not using it.
Shall we start a petition for it? I rather have this fix then having 2.1 or 2.2 android if this persist further.

ya i noticed...the calls still need a 'swipe' to answer.
locale actually have a LP plug-in.
It said to "remove" default LP but i doubt it would work since if no lock doesn't work, it might not work on call as well.
How would I achieve this? Im fully rooted running the Sprint lovers rom. I have a custom font flashed along with my lcd density modified. The combo of the 2 makes the Sense bar look horrible. I managed to delete the sense lockscreen and it automaticly reverted to the vanilla one which is what I want. Can some one please help me to achieve this outcome on the incoming call screen. It is the only thing between me and having my Evo the way I want it.

From what I understand, I don't think it can be done. I would LOVE if there was a way to do this but I believe it is coded into the framework and it can't be removed. That's my understanding of it. Too bad
That would be good... if its possible JS would prolly be the 1 to figure it out....

Not possible with sense..the lock screen can be changed to the aosp lock screen but that doesn't remove the Htc incoming lock screen, its tied to the dialer

speaking of the sense incoming call screen, how many other people have the problem where maybe 20% of the time the screen won't respond to input and allow you to unlock or answer the call? This is pretty much the only thing that ever goes wrong with my phone lol. I end up having to just hit the power button, miss the call, and then call them back...a little annoying

I have the same issue. One of the only issues I have with my phone. The other being sliding out of my pocket answers/declines calls. Thus looking for a way to remove the slider. Guess we are stuck.
^^^ I have the same problem... doesnt happen too often, but it is annoying. Could this be due to a phone call coming in when CPU is running at a minimun setting?
Hello !
First of all i think you are awesome !
So i used google and the search option for a while.
My main Question: My HOS is Black, i push the power button shortly, the htc "ring" lockscreen appears - after that my security lock screen appears. How can i skip the HTC "Ring" Screen?
I am Using ViperOne S 1.2
Greetings and Thank you
Sentrixxl

Description
I dont really know how to describe it. but this should do it :
I mean the First thing that appears when you want to use your smartphone, you can pull the camera or the message .... icon in the RING
This is what i dont need and what i want to skip. I want directly the Pattern Security screen to appear.
I hope now you know what i mean.
( Meanwhile i installed Trickdroid 8.1)

Do you mean you want to unlock your phone with JUST the pattern? Because as far as i know its not possible to disable the Sence lockscreen (the ring your referring to).
Unless your custom rom has a custom lockscreen or a tweak package that disables it I dont think what you want is possible sorry.
Hi,
I have ViperXL 4.2 installed on my HTC One XL.
The problem I have is that when a call comes, the incoming call screen cannot be turned off without rejecting the call. i.e. I want to be able to turn off and lock the screen and let the call ring out instead of hanging up. Pressing the power button when the call comes only rejects the call (Even though "Power button ends call" setting has been disabled) Pressing volume buttons either stops the ringing or stops vibrating.
I don't want to install 3rd party Caller ID/dialer apps since it ruins the whole Sense experience. I infact tried installing some dialer apps and they didn't work.
Please help me how I can solve this the best way.
I would just reflash

What I'm describing is the default behaviour of Sense based ROMs. So, re-flashing wouldn't help I think.
If it is indeed the default behavior, there isn't really a great deal you can do. It's hard-coded into the ROM when it leaves HTC.

[BUMP] Any solution on the new Liberty Sense6 ROM?
Hi,
Just bumping up the thread to see if there are any solutions in the new Sense 6 ROM that has surfaced?
Also, I'm very surprised how other people on this forum don't seem to be concerned with this. Don't you guys ever need to ignore a call without disconnecting?
Hoping I can find a solution.
Sense 6 is a work in progress. Honestly, just wait for more Sense 6 ROMs to come with more developers and they'll have it fixed soon
Sense 6 was never meant to be on this device, thus the WiFi issue is not as big as you might think
