hi,
i dont know if it's related to today's firmware update (3.2.1),
but i've just noticed that the hour is stuck on my transformer, and after reset or playing with the hour settings, i get the right time but that's it, it stuck till my next reset or settings playing..........
what can i do???
(it's the little clock on the status bar)
it's not just you. river song did not kill the doctor causing a re-write of a fixed point in time, causing time to stop, and everything in history to happen all at once.
and then the ending was kinda lame.

It might be a bad flash. Was the battery charged when you flashed? Does the clockon the lockscreen have the same issue?
Are you rooted? Stock? Modded?
You could probably just reflash the ota by renaming it to EP101_SDUPDATE.zip and flashing it from your external sdcard with the stock recovery.

For the past couple of weeks my stock unrooted Transformer has been telling me there is a system firmware update available and to check notifications. But notifications never shows this update and the Check Update button is disabled. Any known solutions to this frustrating situation short of (yet another) factory reset? Thanks.
Come on can't anyone help this guy?
Bumped to make sure this guy gets an answer. I don't know the answer but I know someone here does.

Bumping every hour is a bit much imo...
Try this:
Goto Settings > Applications > All > Scroll down to DMClient > Clear Cache and Clear Data and Force Stop
Reboot the TF and check for updates again
Found here: http://www.transformerforums.com/forum/asus-transformer-general-discussions/9026-please-help-me-update-issue.html
Im sorry. I was trying to be helpful as I didn't have the answer
The notification will be in the bottom right corner i believe it is an aarow.

Thanks everyone for your help. Once I cleared the data and forced stop DMClient (the cache was already empty) and rebooted I can use the Check Update button again. Unfortunately it makes no difference - it tells me a system firmware update is available but it never appears in the notification area. Other notifications appear fine and I have in the past been able to update the firmware this way but not this time.
Doesn't Asus eventually make these firmware updates available on their website? Hate to do another factory reset as getting everything back to the way it was is a major pain. That's why I was looking forward to a working Asus backup with the new firmware. Oh well, my Transformer has always hated me and the feeling is pretty much mutual these days.

Is your battery over 50% at the moment? Because that is another requirement, also you can try a reboot with adapter connected and battery over 50%.
Good luck!
Thanks. My battery had been fully charged previously but I tried again with it plugged in and the dock removed. Still no notification. Tried turning notifications off/on, cleared data and forced stopped DMClient and restarted several times. No notification.
I've had a few android phones, but so far I have not run into this issue with any of them. I am running stock + root (though the issue was happening before root) and every once in a while I'll notice an icon is missing from one of my home screens.
Typically, it's been my Scrabble icon that goes missing. Sometimes it will be TouchDown or Words With Friends that disappear, or it will be a widget. Has anyone encountered this?
I've tried doing a reset of the phone, but still run into the same thing after a few days. I have checked to make sure that an update was not done to the app, turned off auto-updates for any of the affected programs that I've noticed so far, but still I find that the icon disappears.
I'd appreciate any input as to a way to find out when/how the icon was deleted from the screen. Since I'm the only one that uses my phone, I don't think it's being dropped accidentally by someone else. I do know that I have used an app's icon before going to bed, but when I wake up the next day, it or one of the others that was there is gone.
Have you moved any of these apps to the SD card?
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I727 using XDA App
Nope, not running anything from the SD card. I use it mainly for moving music and the occassional movie between two different devices.
That was happening to me too on stock 2.3.6 but after I flashed sky ics ROM it fixed it

it has happened on every single rom. including skyics....skyics does it the least out of any ROM I've used...but it still does it...i have 155 apps installed...every other reboot I end up with 150 or less....
and I could reboot again...and lose more apps...i have to reinstall them...sometimes they will all come back after a reboot
NONE are moved to SD, default install location.
this is the only droid that has done that...it's really weird.
When i do a screen shot ..the phone takes screenshot and saves it in the folder.. but when i check the picture its all black...i tried rebooting and re flashing air kernel 201 still problem persist.. any suggestions?
Sent from a jar of JellyBeans
Odd...try taking a screenshot from the power menu (if you can).. I'm not sure what the problem is...
Sent from my nexus s eating jellybeans in the matr- er...uhm...Marmite
tried that too same thing as before. funny thing was that my notification disappeared after a day or so. then thats when i decided to flash jb again do a full format clean install.. everything is smooth now sad thing is maybe the airkernel has something to do with that. i had reboots coz of that. im on full stock now rooted as always.
Hi
My clock app stop working around 8:45PM and also my phone works slow during that period.
everything works well after 4:00 AM ....?
I notice my alarm don't work in between that time and also no time update on any widget or on status bar time..
During that time if i try to install any app from app store than it also not work they will stuck at installing and never
finish that installation process...Also my phone get hotter during that period and it use more battery power
like it use 30% battery in 2 hr
Once it pass 8:45 PM it stay that time on status bar unless you reboot phone and after reboot it works for 5 min
and then again get Frozen to last state...
I have two android device (One X+ , nexus 7 both root and unlocked bootloader and has stock ROM )both device
doing same thing.
I thought it's a malware or virus so I wipe my phone and put custom ROM on it but I still have that Problem in my
phone...?
So it might be any app that cause that problem or something else that trigger at certain time
I am totally confuse how can i solve this problem...?
Any one have that problem ...?
My phone has been misbehaving since it upgraded the OS to Marshmallow. It was primarily occurring with the Google Now app and it would take over the phone and flash up and off the screen and whilst this was going on, the phone is busy vibrating, the screen became unresponsive and generally I couldn't do anything with it during these episodes. I stopped it sending to the screen and then it was the Google app that kept flashing up, starting with a round circle coming from the app drawer icon. It has got worse over the last few days to the point that it might take me ten minutes before I could get access to the caller to make a call and even trying to shut down the device was near impossible because the confirmation box never stayed on the screen long enough to answer the question and then it didn't come back. Yesterday, after many tries to restart, it finally restarted in safe mode. If it was related to an app that I downloaded, it should have stopped then but it didn't. When I was able to get into settings, I then went to apps and then disabled google app as this was the one starting up and flashing the screen non stop. I was then asked if I wanted to replace it with a factory version which I did but I also left it disabled. The problem has continued but not as ferociously with the screen becoming unresponsive at times while the buzzing from the vibrate still occurring. I have looked up various forums but haven't found any that have similar problems described. I checked the screen overlay settings and they are enabled and that seems to be the main problem with marshmallow. I'm looking for some advice but realise that this might be too basic for this forum? When you updated to Nougat, what method did you use to update? Did you update via OTA? We're you rooted when you did it?
Have you tried booting to recovery and factory resetting and wiping cache then rebooting?

It was an update that appeared on my notifications and I thought it was a small bug fix update and didn't realize that it would replace the entire OS. I just allowed the update and then realized what had happened. I think it is Marshmallow that it updated to but originally the app drawer was paginated and accessed by side swipes whereas the system now is a long page of apps moved up and down. I don't know if it was rooted and I assume that that means it wasn't.
I was trying to avoid a factory reset but I did wipe the cache and rebooting. When google apps is disabled, the interruptions are less often and not for as long but it still went into a complete meltdown of a screen appearing and disappearing at such a rate that nothing can be done with it. It won't show a video because of the interruptions.

Unfortunately, I think you're gonna have to factory reset in stock recovery because there's obviously a conflict with something you already had on the device and it isn't playing nice with something that was in the update.

Thanks for taking the time to respond. I have resigned myself to that although it does not seem to be anything that I downloaded to the phone as it occurred in safe mode too. I was just hoping that there was a fix out there but obviously it is not a widespread occurrence.

It could have been something in system that got changed during the update but the data from before the change is still there and conflicting with whatever changes were made. Some kind of saved system data that can only be wiped by factory reset or reflashing.

I did a factory reset, lost a lot of photos that had started being saved on the phone and not the sdcard after the upgrade to Marshmallow. Have had to accept that but unfortunately the bizarre behavior did not stop and it continues on and off, sometimes so bad that I cannot dial a number on it and other times it happens but I can get in between the action and dial or send a text etc. I have gradually been stopping things like notifications from google apps and traffic reports from google maps (this may have had a good effect) and anything that might be doing constant checks. It seems to have quietened down over the last day or so and I even got to play a game on it but the next option is to send it away to an engineer. I just thought that I would let you know the outcome of the factory reset.
