how did you re-boot, step by step lol
okay, hard reset un froze it, but whenever i try to turn wifi on it freezes again, it can be reset by turning off then on again and will allow me to turn wifi on, but i press the button and it freezes again, ideas anyone
Go to settings/wireless & networks/wifi settings and press the menu key. then choose advanced and change the wifi sleep policy from "when screen turns off" to "never"
Pete
turned phone off and on to unfreeze it, done as you said and changed to never, turned on wifi and it froze again, says ''wi-fi turning on'' its greyed out and doesnt change
Sounds like you have a bad or corupted file. Try a factory reset AFTER you save all you photos etc.
If that don't fix it you may have a faulty phone.
Settings/privacy/reset
Be warned this will erase everything so back up your stuff first!

After rebooting my phone earlier today my wi-fi has been stuck on, yet shows as off in QuickMenu and Comm Mgr. Any attempt to "turn on" the switches fail, even turn off option in wi-fi set up dialog does nothing. Can anyone help me?
EDIT: I also noticed now that any command to reboot the phone, along with standby (yes, even my top button), and power off commands are not working either.
EDIT2: It also now seems the screen will not rotate when the keyboard is slid out. I'm beginning to think my only option is to do a hard reset, and I'd REALLY rather avoid that...
EDIT3: AND it thinks it's charging...
EDIT4: Also all of my buttons don't work...
thats weird
my touch pro is doing just the opposite..... i can't turn off the wifi, the "switch" is grayed out to the point that it will not let me turn it off
wierd, does a soft reset not work? Never seen that before...
Have you altered anything recently or added an app that could be causing compatibilty issues?
Hey Guys, I'd Like to ask a question , very weird going on about my device... Only one time I got that Lovely Icon (exclamation mark) with a phone sign followed by a computer, yes that means that i am in download mode, i fixed it but once i got passed that small error my phone has been acting up.. I've tried CM10 keeps restarting by itself once in a while, I had tried going COMPLETELY going to stuck by using a Youtube video on how to unbrick it... NO luck. This time it freezes up and all applications become unresponsive, Facebook FORCECLOSE and other apps& and restarts, once is in the home screen i hold the power button and i only get one option "POWER OFF" its very weird because I remeber there was "DATA IS SET "ON" ETC, other settings in the phone had been re-enabled for ex. haptic feedback vibration. i had that turned off and it came back on by itself, second setting is the lock screen i cant set up a lock setting because once i press the unlock button and wait about 5 seconds it would go directly to the home screen W/O asking to enter to any patter. I tried gingerbread 2.3.6, with this rom all apps are UNAVAILABLE.. YES they dont open up.. EVEN facebok.. I took out the battery, turned it back on, and once it gets to the "rethink possible" keeps restarting the att motion until it finally restarts the whole phone and it keeps doing this.. I wanted to ask you guys if my phone is bricked or something because is really annoying. Thanks !
A brick would be where you wouldn't be able to boot up. A virus would be wiped out when flashing a new rom. When installing a new rom, did you also format /system? Sometimes that irons out some bugs. Maybe doing a wipe on your dalvik and cache seperatly could help.

Yea, once i last flashed CM10 yeah i did and the problem persits... Right Now im in stock FROYO 2.2 with no luck... I had to switch to my old Mytouch 3G Slide until i fix this issue...
So recently I came across that hidden menu *#*#4636#*#*, I used nova launcher shortcut activities to get there though as the XT1045 did nothing while entering the code mentioned.
So it was all great as forcing 3g was a big requirement for me, worked for a 1-2 weeks just fine, I even shut off the phone at nights and had no issues in the morning.
Recently though i switch on the phone and the power button menu shows that the flight mode is off and checking the hidden menu has the option of "turn radio on" meaning it's off? Turn radio on doesn't work but the power button airplane mode does work once and then the option is greyed out. Usually doing this and a restart would get things working but since yesterday and a gazillion restarts it's not working. The flight mode option on the quick settings works fine both ways but doesn't actually affect the phoen, just indicated flight mode on or off.
The only thing i had done was at the very beginning i tapped the turn radio off / on to check out the settings, so i don't know if that affected it somehow, but that was like 2 weeks ago and it's been fine since then until yesterday
I have looked in the forums and have not tried reflashing the radios yet but any other options have failed, I was hoping this can be done without flashing anything.
Help!
Also worth noting, im completely on stock, no root and basically didn't amend anything for it to behave like this, I've also tried another SIM and it's the same issue. It's an unlocked phone sold directly by Amazon.
Maybe a way to reset this setting? or something?
Somebody? please.
Also do you guys think the lollipop update would update to a new modem baseband?
Hey guys,
Somehow my phone is stuck forever in airplane mode. I have tried flashing multiple ROMS, going back to fully stock, even with a locked bootloader or without custom recovery. But somehow the problem still stays. I seriously don't know how this even started.. I knew for sure it was the airplane mode's fault when I wanted to call some kind of number for the radio settings, but I got a message saying I had to turn airplane mode off.
But, it is not even turned on anyway. Now what? Help is appreciated guys!!
Edit3: When pressing on the power key, when you get the small menu it shows me that (while no simcard in) airplane mode is constantly turning on and off, I also get a constant repeating/flickering notification in my status bar.
I also tried using my sister her simcard, but it gives the same result. But, my simcard works in her phone. I was able to use 3g etc.
I have exactly the same issue. It appeared today after being away for a few days and having my phone on airplane mode + Wifi the entire time. I have tried flashing back to stock w/full wipe and reflashing radio. In *#*#4636#*#* menu I see that radio is "off". See screenshot attached.

hello friend plz help.....i have the exact same issue...wat did u do
I got a the phone recently and it's got this weird problem that I couldn't find mentioned anywhere.
Sometimes Bluetooth just randomly won't turn on, I tap the Quick Settings icon and it does nothing, if I go to settings it appears to turn on but if I pull down the Quick Settings or go back and into Bluetooth again it shows that it's off.
All of this goes away after a reboot, Bluetooth turns on and the phone connects to devices without issues, it also doesn't drop the connection but if I leave it off for a while, when I try to turn it back on again it sometimes just won't turn on again until I reboot.
Do any of your devices have a similar issue?

Try clearing the system cache.
Try resetting network connections.
Turn off all power management.
If you've done a major firmware update it's factory reset time...
No power saving mode is enabled and the A52 just launched with Android 11 and One UI 3.1, there's no major update to do.
I just wiped cache, while I was in the recovery I repaired apps just in case and I reset network settings for both SIMs, we'll see if that works, thanks!
UPDATE:Yes, it appears this fixed the issue. I have been able to enable Bluetooth without issues since I cleared cache even after days of it being off.
