Hey guys! This is my first ROM for the G2x, first time stepping out from a moto devices to do some type of development. Anyways, this is based off the OTA gingerbread update. Focus was to make sure this is a fully functional stable rom with good battery life. Did not test with any other kernels , just stock. Considering this a beta since I have not had any tester.

just curious why not a zipfile? Definitely glad to see a new Rom though!
So to my understanding there are no code changes at all correct u just made this on ur phone please make a zip of the rom not a nandroid

What recovery image was on the phone when this was backed up?
Md5 does not match..followed rules and got error ...maybe a zip?

you either didnt extract and place the backup properly or renamed the backup folder with a space, tested this method with another g2x user yesterday so it should work

Jboogie, how is battery life so far with this rom from your experience so far?
Reason I ask is the rom I'm using now I get about 8 hrs. Max with light usage.
The most I've gotten out the battery was when I was using MIUI. I was averaging about 12 to 14 then.
By the way, this was with stock kernels on both.
Either way DL and will try it out soon and give you feedback!

the other day I calibrated my battery to test my battery life and it lasted me almost 2 days untill it shutdown on me. no setcpu , stock kernel, no lg notification app. Moderate use with wifi and 4g

I will only be doing a odex version for a while. Enjoy.
Titaniumbackup issue fixed. All apps included were tested and opened fine.
Will be beta until a new kernel or screen issue resolved.

Updated sense breaks so many things.

I've been running the one that got taken down all day now and I haven't had any problems. As an avid CM 7 user I have to say that this GB sense Rom just plain works! It is fast and smooth. I didn't think I would be impressed, but I honestly am. I will probably go back to CM tomorrow, but I thought I'd give it at least a day. I might flash this one because I like the theme. Thanks for your work!

The one in my froyo rom is the green android circle one. It was given to me. It can be found in themes. I didnt swap boot animation because this rom after first boot, only takes a couple seconds. Even faster with ODEX.
So does 4G work on this, or not?

I checked wifi and GPS.
Everything seemed fine
Yes everyone Brightness works just fine Mine adjusts all the way down and all the way up and auto.

Here are two accurate battery mods for the newly released 2.3.3 update from LG & T-Mobile. I have created one for the completely stock OTA\leak and one for Deodexed versions (XBoarder has both available), please make sure you choose the correct one. They are stock themed, exactly as they came from LG. These replace the framework-res.apk and SystemUI.apk, so any previous theming or mods will be overwritten.
Install Instructions
Make a nandroid backup (not required, but highly recommended)
Reboot into CWM Recovery
Flash the accurate battery mod for your build
Wipe Dalvik-cache
Fix permissions
Reboot
Enjoy!

Thanks for the manual update, havent had time to do that myself and as you know, our fab kitchen has been down . Ill def use these. How does this differ from the Stock OTA though? Thought that had screen-off anim working no issue.

I have add this booster just for show it really doesn't do anything for the system but it is provides great scores for benching and that's about it.

Thanks man!..lol..but in all seriousness, Jez did a hell of a job here. There's a good amount of black mixed with the green and a great font baked in to it. That Go Task Killer is a nice addition as well. Oh, and for benchmark junkies, Smartbench 2010 scores are impressive. I messed with adding Tegrak Ultimate to overclock it a bit and man those Smartbench scores were as fast or faster than Bamboozle.

I'm thinking of odin'ing to EG22 and then flashing this ROM since I've been on stock froyo EC05 ever since I got my replacement over 2 months ago. Am I likely to face many issues with EG22/GB? I did my share of looking around in some of the bug threads and don't see anything major.
As soon as I get this downloaded (damn u slow 3g..), I'm flashing. Looks great!
Its about time people gave props and started using a Go Launcher in their roms.
Im a big fan of green too,this rom looks real good,good job.

As far as I know, you can just flash the EG22 hack from here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1172576, at least that is what I am planning on doing. I have just ODIN'd to EG22 so I'm going to go ahead with the ROM flash in just a few minutes.
This looks good, flashing soon. So why will I get vibes at boot. Does it happen everytime, is there any way that it will happen again @ OP

You will get vibes because the ROM is auto-converting itself to EXT4.
It will only happen the first time you boot.

This is an update from v.1.0.0 to v.1.0.1,i removed some things to make the rom a little smaller and added a bunch of tweaks,you can read the channelog
below to see all of the changes,i also customized the android market inside and out,not everything,but about 80% of it,
its a red line cartoonish style,give me some feedback on this.

Instructions:
1)Download the Red Line rom to your pc or Mac
2)Connect your phone via usb cable and select connect disk drive
3)drag and drop the rom on your sd card
4)Go to your usb icon in the task bar on your pc,right click and remove your android phone safely
5)Boot into recovery and wipe everything BUT!,"SD Card"!DO NOT WIPE SD CARD!!!
6)Go to flash zip menu,then choose zip from sd card
7)Find the Red Line rom you just copied to your sd card,choose it,then hit power again to install it
8)Its a big rom,well not that big,but first boot is a doozy,it takes 3.5 minutes to boot the first time,so don't worry it will boot

Thanks guys,i'm gonna work on some more tweaking on this rom tomorrow,see if i can make it faster and slimmer,try to add more red highlights,get a update ready for this next week.

Update. Like this a lot. Really smooth. Just needs to be slimmed down, not much internal storage after initial boot. Did you say a2sd is available or baked in? Can't wait to use this as a daily but with the low internal storage I can't just yet...

New Rom
Thought I would pop in and say thanks! Always good to see new developers getting in the mix. It may be your first rom, but you will learn more by working on this rom than anything else. Congrats, and when I get a chance I will certainly check it out!
I need wifi now!! Can't wait to try. Have used all sense 3.5's out there. I am using a modified version of energy atm. Killer battery life. 3+ days on 3500 battery. Thanks for the hard work!

Only thing i miss is re-order quick settings and still trying to get a2sd working....

Hmm I'll look into the a2sd thing. Things to come are newer ota, slide to clear, xloud and more :thumbup:

In the original Prime XL3D cyanogenmod a2sd was in the rom. It automatically moved apps and dalvik cache to sd-ext when the rom was flashed. So thats probably interfering with DT a2sd(if you added it in)
