Hey there im running Cm7 (one of the 90's nightlys) on my G2x and i just got a new pioneer navigation system in my car. It has BT phone and audio and i can get both connected fine, however when the audio connects it never plays in the car. The music will be playing on the phone and when i turn up the volume it says "Bluetooth audio " but never actually plays. Do you think its a problem with my car deck, or the nightly im running? Does Cm7 even support BT audio? BTW i used both Google music and the stock music player and they bboth dont work.

Yup the douches at nvidia dont want to release drivers to make a2dp work.
Well damn that sucks...is there any way to get around it?
Sent from my LG-P999 using XDA App
It's nvidia's fault that it doesnt work because they havent released the necessary drivers for it to work in custom roms.
The only way around it is to use a rom based on the official Froyo or Gingerbread (OTA) roms
Boooo...ok thanks guys

Apparently the Motorola Atrix has gotten BT Audio working and it has Tegra 2 if I'm not mistaken.

I've been flashing roms since the hero to vibrant to this.. but I have no idea what A2DP is. What is it?

Stereo Bluetooth for streaming music, separate from the voice BT profile.

Hows everyone's experiences with Bluetooth on cm7 nightly 160.
Its working perfectly for my with wireless speakers, and file transfers between mac and this phone. Everyone should thank the cm crew.
Quick question, if I flash a different kernel, I will lose a2dp correct? Thanks in advance.

A2dp is working flawless here, i can honestly say that my phone feels complete now, i dont believe different kernel will break a2dp, i was on cm7/faux and now cm7/morfic latest and all is well.
Thank you cm_arcee and cm team.
So ur using faux and morfics with nightly 160 and your still getting a2dp? That's awesome. My phone feels complete now too. Don't forget nightly 160 is 2.3.7

Anyone else?

I've only tried Bluetooth audio in my car and only the stock music player was working. No other apps such as Youtube or Google Listen were working. Hopefully they'll have it fixed soon but even having stock audio player working is awesome
Oh and I'm on nightly 164 for what it's worth
Ohh wow that sucks. Thanks for ur input and is anyone else having this same problem?

Which nightly version are you on?
All apps work for me. Pandora, Google Music Beta, Hulu+, Netflix, etc. all work for me. I'm on nightly 161.

Fits kang from 10/10.
everything works fine on my end too.
I'm on CM7.1 Stable mod and stock kernel.
Is it me or does Bluetooth Audio for phone calls not work? I paired my Bluetooth headset and the audio was routing to the speaker instead of the headset. The Bluetooth toggle during phone calls acts as the speaker toggle.

I have this issue *only* when wifi calling is enabled. If I disable wifi calling, the audio goes through my bluetooth headset.
Is the issue from wifi calling then?
Sent from my LG-P999 using xda premium
Ah, interesting observation. I did have wifi calling on at that time.
Another thing: Is it me or do I only get SMS delivery reports when on wifi calling only? When I switch to the mobile network it's like I didn't even turn delivery reports.

Anyone having apn issues, did it get fixed with the latest nightlies? Because it is fixed now
I don't use SMS... I only use Google Voice for that since it's free. ;-)
It seems that wifi calling breaks many things on cyanogenmod that work on stock.
1) try to pull your account status with wifi calling enabled using my account.
2) Bluetooth doesn't work with wifi calling enabled
3) searching for apns from the settings menu is broken with wifi calling enabled.
I'm sure there is more... somehow cyanogenmod and wifi calling don't play nice and prevent the 2g/3g/4g networks from being accessed period.

does anyone else's pandora audio quality sound like garbage? I have set my pandora setting to high quality audio and it still sounds terrible. Slacker radio sounds fine, and so does pandora on my samsung captivate. Any suggestions?
Current Devices:
Motorola Atrix 2
Samsung Captivate
Acer Iconia A500

Thanks, I tried all that and no dice... Also, I uninstalled and reinstalled and nothing seems to work. I guess I'm stuck with slacker radio. Thanks again.

Slacker radio is the same way. They are aware of the issue but are blaming it on android itself and the way it interprets the codecs they use for streaming. No idea if they plan to fix it or not.

I get iffy sound. I'm using really good headphones and thought about the beats and xplod mod but haven't rooted yet.. Even w/ good cell quality the sound qual is not the best. Gonna root this weekend and try the mod possibly and see what happens.

Hey guys I'm currently running synergy 1.6 and having serious issues connecting my blutooth audio to my car receiver. It pairs just fine, but takes forever if at all to connect the media audio. Most of the time it doesn't. I have tried battery pulling and such but no luck :/ do you guys know if any other roms that have better support for this? I just don't want to wipe and try another rom only for the same issue to occur. I could be doing something wrong too xD I appreciate the help Thanks!

I've been pairing/connecting with my car audio since the Eris days. On this GS3, I'm using Clean Rom and it works great. It also worked for the stock rom unrooted, rooted and un-locked too.
Alright I'll try flashing clean rom tonight and giving it a go
Thanks mate

I'm running synergy r43 I think it is of the nightlies and Bluetooth works fine. I didn't flash synergy until 1.7 came out and Bluetooth has worked for me on synergy since then.

Hey so I've been messing with two apps, hifi speaker and remote for itunes, to airplay stream music to my phone at home. I was also going to buy a new blue tooth speaker and was wondering if after getting the music streamed to the phone, turning on blue tooth will this then redirect the music to the speaker?
Also, is there an app to give my phone actual airplay capabilities, not just making my phone a receiver for airplay but letting me push music/video out over airplay?
Thanks.

Wait so what music source exactly do you use with this? You said that no rom redirects audio to Bluetooth, yet I find it hard to believe if I connect my phone to a speaker via Bluetooth and play music out of, say Power amp, that THAT wouldn't work.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I727 using xda app-developers app
Using power amp only directs to certain BT frequency and when using the stock players it has always stopped when I try to swap to BT of course this is my experience u may have a more compatible BT device but this is just me u can try urself but this is what have found doesn't and hasn't worked
PS when I mean redirect I mean redirect the audio sound from the music player to the by device.

Wow... Then what exactly is the point in buying a speaker? I mean they advertise them to be compatible with like I phones, android, and all Bluetooth compatible devices don't they?
