Hey so I've been messing with two apps, hifi speaker and remote for itunes, to airplay stream music to my phone at home. I was also going to buy a new blue tooth speaker and was wondering if after getting the music streamed to the phone, turning on blue tooth will this then redirect the music to the speaker?
Also, is there an app to give my phone actual airplay capabilities, not just making my phone a receiver for airplay but letting me push music/video out over airplay?
Thanks.

Wait so what music source exactly do you use with this? You said that no rom redirects audio to Bluetooth, yet I find it hard to believe if I connect my phone to a speaker via Bluetooth and play music out of, say Power amp, that THAT wouldn't work.

Using power amp only directs to certain BT frequency and when using the stock players it has always stopped when I try to swap to BT of course this is my experience u may have a more compatible BT device but this is just me u can try urself but this is what have found doesn't and hasn't worked
PS when I mean redirect I mean redirect the audio sound from the music player to the by device.

Wow... Then what exactly is the point in buying a speaker? I mean they advertise them to be compatible with like I phones, android, and all Bluetooth compatible devices don't they?

I use lithium music player because I like the song crossfade, no gaps,
but would use other player if work with this idea...
Can you find a way to enable the microphone on the earbuds and mix with music player to hear both?
When I have earbuds in, I cannot hear my environment, While sometimes that is the whole purpose,
Sometimes I need to hear my environment with earbuds in, like when jogging/walking/bikeriding.
Can you find a way to enable the microphone on the earbuds and mix with music player to hear both?
It's a neat idea, and you could use almost the same trick for noise cancellation if you want to reduce the background noise.
So,
Found an app,
VirtualAmp,
Headphone hearing aid,
Seems to run concurrently with Lithium,
Testing this weekend

What devices are people using that permits listening to music, etc.?
I have an older type that only works for calls.
I drive for three and a half hours twice a week and would like to listen to music and audio books and other mp3s.
Thanks for any suggestions.

For driving check out-

For music the regular google music app works fine, though services like this one work well too -

Thanks for the tips.
I'm really interested in what bluetooth devices people are using with this phone. I need to get a better one as mine does not support music, just phone calls.

I've tried the stop music app and player pro. Whenever I'm listening to it myself the music is fine but when I plug my headphones in or it in the car the songs will skip turn off the apps will just turn off and on again. I don't think its the headphone Jack because it works and whenever it doesn't skip the music plays fine :/ any ideas?

I'm running absolution 3.6. I couldn't tell you if this happened before I rooted because I bought it used and just recently put music on my phone and haven't really used headphone but last few days when I plugged it into a car Jack it started acting up. It will skip sings it will skip artist and it will just stop playing overall but it doesn't happen all the time I'd say 3/5 times.

Well if your using abso (yeah I'm on the team over here) then you one of the first to report such an issue that I know of. If you wouldn't mine, please repost in the Absolution Q&A and we can get more minds on this.
Me personally on abso I have used power amp (my fav), stock player, several others, and Google music. It all works perfectly.

Okay I'm on the app ill try to navigate over to there but I wouldn't have thought this as a rom issue but who knows ill try out power amp as well. I am just unsure bc if its a hardware issue then a sensor must be off because just playing through the speakers I don't have problems... ill try Pandora radio today in the car and if it is still acting up ill take it to the Q&A thanks again man

The problem has something to do with your headphones. Jacks can be loose and the phone really doesn't like headphones that doesn't have the extra band on the plug for the mic.
My 2 suggestions are to either use headphones with a mic or install "Headset Blocker" by Roadkill from the Market. It is free and will block those signals telling your music to fast forward or skip to the next track.
I will take a look onto that... I am useing skullcandies and know its not them Haha but the have the second band I will try the app and report back

Well they don't have a mic do they? No you don't have the separate band for a mic.
Sorry about that I misread you saying extra band for a Mic -.- my apologies no they don't have a mic and neither does the male to male cable that I use in the car.

Whether it is a software or a hardware issue, it has always been a issue with the inspire and many other phones.
It is the mic band on your headset plug that is used to switch tracks or fast-forward songs on your phone. When using earphones that connection is now bridged with the ground connection already. Although the phone is supposed to detect headset/ headphones it does it poorly sometimes. So it could be the poor software or simple static bounces due to a loose jack that is causing this to happen.
Using headphones with a mic will isolate this connection and should stop the problem. You could pick up a mic adapter from ebay or any electronics shop that should do the trick too. Or simply use that app mentioned and it will turn the ability off to switch tracks or fast-forward. Or you could use a different music app that doesn't support that feature.
Well I tried it earlier with my headphones and didn't have a problem I also used car mode then went to my music when I was in the car yesterday and it worked so ill just keep the app mentioned always on thank-you guys so much

Anyone elses audio come out fuzzy when using voodoo driver? Doesn't matter which db setting I use. I'm going 3.5mm to 3.5mm on my car radio and it happens no matter what listening to Pandora, Spotify, etc. Any ideas? Thanks!

Nothing huh?
Same here, if I turn up the volume.

I only have that with Pandora but I'm not sure if its the phone or app because it is the ad free one posted in our themes and apps for the g2x.

Edit: after I said that I noticed it while watching YouTube videos and when cask forwarding a song in default music player
So I wonder if it's just the G2x, if it does it without voodoo, etc. What is the root hmmm
Are you also charging your phone at the same time? Car chargers tend to make the phone's audio jack all buzzy.

I've got an Avantree Saturn bluetooth transceiver hooked up to my home stereo. When it's in Receive mode I can send audio from my GS3 to the stereo.
However, you can also Transmit audio from the Saturn. I want to send the audio from my home stereo by bluetooth to my GS3, so that I can listen with headphones on my GS3. I don't want to use a bluetooth headset. I want my GS3 to receive the bluetooth signal. This will be helpful when I want to listen to the TV (which is hooked up to the home stereo) silently on my GS3.
I can't figure out how to receive a bluetooth audio stream into my GS3. Can anyone help?
Bump
Have you tried putting the device in discovery mode and then have the GS3 do a scan for Bluetooth devices. If the phone finds the device during the scan, it should allow connection and then present whatever options are available when connecting to that device.

Does the s3 have the option of receiving audio streaming? I think only particular Bluetooth devices have that such as stereos

That's the question that I don't know the answer to. I'm suspecting that it can't, since there doesn't seem to be anyone doing it and there's no app to allow it. These posts and others suggest that it's not possible: http://android.stackexchange.com/qu...udio-from-pc-to-android-device-over-bluetooth
I guess that the apps that allow you to stream from a PC use wifi, not bluetooth.
If I had to guess. I would say No. It would be a nice feature. But I don't think our cellphones are designed for receiving audio through Bluetooth!
