Pretty simple. What is the best rom with battery life for this phone? I rooted my girlfriend's phone and right now she's running cyanogenmod. Battery life doesn't seem that great though. Any suggestions on something to try out?

Also recalibrate your battery using battery left from the market.
Thanks. I'm an idiot. I meant to ask this for the evo 4g supersonic. I posted in the wrong section.

Droid Overclock is an app I ran across on the Market today with all sorts of nice features.
It may have been out for awile, I just didnt see it.
It costs $1.50. Very Nice App
Looks like it does alot more then setcpu
Oh yeah, I bought this app when I had my d2. Wasn't sure if it supported the incredible though and I just use the built in overclocking in CM.
Its a sweet app though and jrummy did a nice job with the interface.

Makes your processor operate at a faster speed, speeding up your phone. It kills your battery faster though.

Actually (What effects screen brightness and OC CPU have on battery) speeding up your cpu doesn't effect that battery as much as you think its very minimal. So overclock all you want
Does it harm your phone in any way?

This actually looks a lot better than SetCPU. I like it.
If you overclock too high, to a incompatible setting, the phone will just go into a loop mode. The setting won't be stable.. it errors itself and can't correct it. So you need to scale it back down. Sorry if I don't know all the terms and such.. dinc's are fast just to begin with. I oc'd so I could try and get better benchmark scores. It worked and the phone was stable to where i could use it all the time problem free. I managed to get scores I could be.. once that happened I stopped clocking up, and started scaling back. Undervolting the system with a different kernel / governer setting will yield you the best battery life..

I am running Infused 1.5.3 right now and was wondering if I would get better battery life running a custom kernel like Defused, Infusion Kernel 1.8, or Bionix. I just flashed my phone and am new to the Android and Infuse community. I am coming from a iPhone. Your opinions would be helpful. I am trying to figure out why my battery life kinda sucks right now and I am looking into a custom kernel. Which kernel you guys using?

If you install Infusion 1.8 and undervolt without overclocking, it will improve things somewhat.
If it's still bad, uninstall all apps, then install them one by one until you figure out which one is hosing your battery life.
The kernal that came with the infused is working just fine with me. The defuse gave me horrible battery life. But yeah, take entropy advice.

Horrible battery life?

The only time my battery sucked was when I had a rogue app updating **** all the time. And when under volting was broken lol

I use setcpu. I created a profile for "screen off" and turned everything down, seems to make my phone last longer.

I've been looking around for a thread or guide showing how to use this feature in SetCPU but I can't find one. Can anyone help me undervolt my Nexus S or at least help me understand how this works? So I can save a bit more of battery life on my Nexus S.
use that https://market.android.com/details?id=com.jonathongrigg.proton.voltagecontrol&feature=search_result
its easier and faster
Thank you it worked great, my battery lasted a bit longer now.

ok so i got my charge 2 days ago and am rooted with Gingerbread leak,
so i have some questions.
First: is there roms for gingerbread? because i couldn't find any.
Second: what kernels are there for GB? can i use PBJ?
Third: now ever since i got the phone it drains batter pretty quick with everything off. and hardly using it maybe about 20% per hour. i tried undervolting with Setcpu but wasn't successful, so what app do you guys recommend to undervolt the charge? or any guides to do so?
thanks,
Check out the development section. Gummy Charged GBE is great

I did, thanks for the reply. now i have voodoo and on the recovery sais enable 100mhv something like that. is that so i would get more battery?
You can't undervolt on gb because its a leak meaning no kernel source.
I think setcpu will let you underclock which would give better battery life but reduce performance considerably.

Whenever you change roms, you should calibrate your battery. It works wonders

You need to return to stock, then fresh Odin GummyCharged GBE 1.9RC2.3 if you want Gingerbread as it's really the only modified Gingerbread rom. Eclipse is available, but i'm not sure if the dev still supports it or not. The quick battery drain is something that goes along with the fact Gingerbread is a leak. GummyCharged team has done a wonderful job with minimizing this drain. I have found it actually has better battery life than Froyo. That's just my personal experience.
So I have a noob question. I downloaded CPU master and did an over clock for performance but my phone is essentially stock still. Will the 1512 make much of a difference?
I forgot to do a an Tutu check before it. My stats are below. For the best my mind can remember it is a tad bit better.

wrong section, and you can't overclock with the stock kernel.
It will yeah when you're running a lot of apps at the same time or doing something that requires a lot of CPU. It will also drain your battery a lot faster.

Thanks. Still learning

1512 is the stock clock speed.
