My Asus Transformer can‘t connect to any wifi network. Yesterday it was not any problem with it but today it does not connect.
Can anyone help me what to do?
Delete connection and setup again.
Does other devices connect?
i had this issue before:
i rebooted my router and it worked. maybe it will help you too?
Thanks for the reply. I already deleted all the connections and still it didnt work.
Two mobile phones are connected at the same wifi, and they work properly.
what rom are you using?
maybe you need to re-flash that?
I seem to have a problem with my WiFi after every firmware update...after every firmware update I've received it breaks my WiFi..It will stay connected for like 15-20 secs then disconnect then reconnect. Annoying. Previously, all I had to do is do a factory reset and all was fixed but this most recent update.. problem wasn't fixed after a factory reset...Any ideas?

Same problem has just been solved on TF101 B80 by manual re-flashing stock firmware (8.6.5.13 WW).
With best regards.

Hi,
more problems I need help with.
my TF101 B70 has ICS on it. however I tried to uninstall busybox through busybox and it failed.
I wiped my TF101 and now ICS can't make a wireless connection and I'm using stock recovery and have no way of reflashing ICS.
I also can't get root, I've tried primetime and another.
I ideally want CWM so I can reflash a previous backup.
Help, can someone help

Can you clarify?
Your TF was stock rom, stock recovery, and rooted. You couldn't uninstall busybox.
So you wiped your TF. Was this a simple factory reset?
And now your TF is not connecting to wireless networks.
Shouldn't you still have root after the wipe?
Not sure what's going on with your root but as for connecting to wireless, try restarting your wireless router. It could be that your router's DHCP table just needs to be cleared out.
my TF has ICS on, stock rom and stock recovery and was rooted.
I uninstalled busybox and it failed midway and then I wiped using a simple factory reset.
now, my TF cannot connect to wireless networks, and my root insn't working properly.
I've tried to connect over tethering using my phone and it won't connect to that either says obtaining IP over and over again.

Idk. Stuck on obtaining IP usually means it's the router or tether host that is not properly assigning an IP address to your device. And it's normally fixed by restarting the router or tether host to clear out the DHCP table. This happens when there's a change to the OS or drivers on your device. Whenever I switch between OSes on my laptop, I have to restart my router so it forgets the old settings it had for my laptop's mac address or else I just get stuck on obtaining ip.
If this isn't the case, I have no idea.
You did do a coldboot after the factory reset right?
yes and reset the router
Try reinstalling busybox?
it says I have no root

damn that sucks.
Probably the more knowledgeable members will have an answer to this.
I think you can still manually gain root access through ADB.
Your B70 isn't one of the lucky few that has sbk1?
I ran across this also I had to copy su in system/bin to system/xbin rebooted then used root installer

how much do you think an RMA would cost to fix this?

Just shipping. You have B70 so you still have warranty on it. Just tell Asus that your TF's wireless stopped working after upgrading to ICS. They won't even look. They will simply reflash your TF and mail it back to you.
You can't use the method posted by jmcdonald58? Pretty sure you can recover root through ADB.
I've tried to root over adb, but it can't see items like CHMOD even though they are present in the system
Hi all,
Fixed the problem, thanks to Asus.... they released "today" the WW_epaduser9_2_1_11UpdateLauncher.zip
I ran this through stock recovery and it's sorted everything.
Happy. need to cancel that RMA now
Hello all I hope you can help me with this...
I'm having the strangest issue with my P6200L... Everything was working fine a couple of days ago... I was using latest CM9 by aorth here, browsing the web and everything when suddenly.... Wifi disconnected and never reconnected again...
The symptoms are:
- displays all available networks in range
- if I force to connect, all networks disappear and saved connections are "not in range"
- if I turn off/on again it displays all networks in range again, saved ones are "disabled", if I force connect it repeats the cycle.
I tried factory reset dozens of times. Didn't work.
I tried flashing CM9 again (with this and another patch I found on the thread (forgot where it is)) dozens of times. Didn't work.
I tried flashing official ICS (Open Austria) dozens of time. Didn't work.
Needless to say, I did data wipe/factory reset/format cache/clear dalvik twice between each flash.
And then I flashed stock Honeycomb. It worked. Wifi connected! All was fine!
Marvelous! Or so it seemed...
Now that I got it working again, I want to upgrade to ICS, so I flashed ICS Open Austria. Wifi stopped working.
"Ohh well", I thought, "let's try everything again"
Flashed stock Honeycomb again. Working.
Flashed CM9 + patch. Stopped working.
Flashed ICS Open Austria. Still not working.
Flashed stock Honeycomb yet again. Working.
Flashed ICS Open Austria. Not working.
Flashed stock Honeycomb. Working.
My conclusion: Wifi works only on stock 3.2.
Why? I have absolutely no idea whatsoever.
I've tried every possible combination of flashing and wiping data (except from stock ICS recovery, as I have one of those bad chips and I'm afraid of the brick bug)
Is there anything else left to try? Maybe copying some system files over from stock Honeycomb to an ICS firmware?
I'm really getting desperate here and I've run out of options. I'm hoping the community here on XDA helps me solve this mystery.
It is similiar to this bug here, but although the user there fixed it by several wipes/flashes, apparently I'm not having the same luck.

Hahahaha I'm 100% sure this is NOT the issue here
Wifi networks keep dissapearing when I try to connect. I have tried in 3 different routers with different encryption settings, so I'm sure this is not on my end.
Could be that you flash and incorrect firmware, maybe for the p6210 tab?
Sorry, I'm just guessing , I don't know what could be the problem.

No problem about that, we're all guessing
But no, I'm sure it's for the P6200 because it worked the first time I flashed. If it was for the P6210 my tab wouldn't even boot, partition layout is different...
I'm having this kind of issue aswell. Wifi is doin' fine with HC 'til flashed it to ICS. Damn, I really hope someone could help us regards with this issue. I also tried Wifi fixer, it helps but not that enough. 'Cause it connects me to my wifi but after a minute or two. It'll disconnect and reconnect. This is happening again and again. And it's kinda annoying when watching video on youtube or surfing the net. Well, just sharing my issue.
Yeah, I know how it's like... I reverted back to ICS while there isn't a fix... It's weird because it also happens on official ICS from Samsung, which it shouldn't
guys, I had the identical problem with wifi on ics. I returned to the hc and wifi worked. Then again the ics and did not work. Wipe cache, Dalvik, data, everything I tried several times and no results . Then I installed wifi fixer and it was a little better, over *# 94 349 # tablet began work with the occasional stop. a couple of times I rebooted it. and after one reboot started to work normally. I know that I m not helped, but it is my experience.

OK, I got some progress.... But it's still bad, keeps disconnecting... Here's what I've done...
I flashed CM9 with wifi patch and tried the app above. Restarted, no luck. Still didn't work.
I removed my SIM card, restarted in CM9, and Wifi worked! If I put it back in, wifi stops working.
I tried changing country codes with the app above, lost 3G SIM card connectivity. No wifi and no 3G, I though I f***ed up everything.
ODINed back to stock Honeycomb. Got a "no SIM card" error. But wifi worked.
Restarted several times, tried changing country codes several times, still got the "no SIM card" error.
After several attempts by removing/inserting the SIM card and restarting I got it working, finally.
Tried flashing ICS Open Austria. Both Wifi and 3G works!!! However wifi keeps disconnecting every 40 seconds or so.
Tried Wifi Fixer from Market, but all it does is monitor when wifi disconnects and then resets it. It connects again, but 40 seconds later it disconnects again, thus repeating the cycle.
It's still not usable, but it is some progress. I'm afraid to factory reset in official ICS because of brick bug, but I'm willing to do some more steps if anyone got some more ideas
THANK YOU very much for your response petrenj! We're getting somewhere here! :good:

Unfortunately I'm experiencing the same problem as yours. I have 3 tabs and all of them exhibits the problem in ICS. Wifi seems a lot more stable in honeycomb. I already tried xxlpl and xxlpn with/without wifi fix from aorths cm9. I'm also experiencing force reboots when I disable and enable wifi for sometime.

How odd... It's weird that some people have this issue while others don't... Also, I'm beggining to wonder if this is something that aorth or other dev can fix, seeing as it affects several different devices with ICS, and not only our tab. I don't think it's a hardware problem, because wifi works in Honeycomb...
So far, if we want to use wifi in our tabs we must remove the SIM card or just stick with Honeycomb... I've stopped using my tab for a while due to the constant data wipes/flashes and dedicated it to try to fix this issue... I really don't want to restore all my apps twice a day while switching between ICS and HC versions
Are there any P6210 users reading this? If yes, are you able to use wifi in your tab? As the P6210 doesn't have a slot for a SIM card, this shouldn't affect you, right?
Anyway, let's wait for aorth to be back from his trip and introduce this thread to him. He should be able to clarify something to us.
Affects P6210 as well

I have searched and searched and found several different threads and posts on this on various forums but nothing conclusive. I wanted to use this thread to list out everything that I have found so far and hope it helps people.
Sympton - Wifi signal turns Orange from White. Even though Wifi is connected, there is no data transfer.
Cause - I have read that the orange is due to Google services being disconnected (not sure why it should affect everything else like Whatsapp, etc.)
Workaround - Turn off Wifi and turn it back on. OR Turn on airplane mode and turn it off again. OR reboot.
Solution - I read in a couple of places that the resolution to this was being merged in 38R but I have updated and it is still there for me.
Would appreciate if you can provide links here if there is more to add and will help people with this problem, thanks in advance.
It could also be a flaky internet connection to your Wi-Fi AP.
Good luck. I have the same issue before and after 38r and no one has a real explanation or solution.

I see this on the r28 franco kernel, doesn't seem to cause me any issues though, to be honest I was under the impression when it was orange it simply meant it was transferring data
R28 doesnt help with this issue either.
Does anyone have a better fix?

I posted that the new OTA has fixed this issue for me on JIRA.
So far so good!
You can either wait for the OTA or flash it manually through a custom recovery (TWRP etc..)
For those wondering:
I have updated to 44S OTA :
http://builds.cyngn.com/fota/incremental/bacon/cm-bacon-ac1ccf7921-to-5fa8c79c0b-signed.zip
Looks like this has FINALLY fixed my orange standby wifi issue!
So give the new 44S update a try and see if it works for you.
You will lose root when flashing the zip so just reflash SuperSU in the recovery right after flashing the OTA zip.
44S has the same issue
44S has the same issue, but I noticed my Bell router's behaviour and found that the reason my opo is not responding is because following power saving flag is set to 1, after I set it to 0 and rebooted, problem solved, no orange icon or wifi disconnect even after overnight deep sleep -
File - /system/etc/wifi/WCNSS_qcom_cfg.ini
gEnableBmps=0
After reboot make sure this change is picked up in /data/misc/wifi/WCNSS_qcom_cfg.ini

Hi,
after installing the latest cm12 nightly (cm-12-20150225-NIGHTLY-hammerhead) I can not connect to any WIFI networks, when I try to connect it just says "connecting..." and stays that way.
Rebooting and wiping does not help. The same problem also occurs in the previous nightlies. In stock Android 5.0. WIFI works.
Does anyone have the same problem or knows how to fix it?

same problem, but don't know a solution. It seems it has something to do with the ip-adress, here it's showing 0.0.0.0 and this is wrong.

No, did it another way. I wiped dalvik/cache/data /system and when I flashed the newest cm nightly (using twrp), before I deleted the the my phone on the router (i have a fritzbox). This was the only to get wifi on my phone working again. (lot of work, but all the other ways I tried don't gave me success).
Reset the access from the device to your router. Once delete the device and then re-enable then it should go. Had the problem once, once made, never happened.
