Hi,
after installing the latest cm12 nightly (cm-12-20150225-NIGHTLY-hammerhead) I can not connect to any WIFI networks, when I try to connect it just says "connecting..." and stays that way.
Rebooting and wiping does not help. The same problem also occurs in the previous nightlies. In stock Android 5.0. WIFI works.
Does anyone have the same problem or knows how to fix it?
wlan
same problem, but don't know a solution. It seems it has something to do with the ip-adress, here it's showing 0.0.0.0 and this is wrong.

Try flashing a recently updated kernel like ElementalX or CodeBlue. Hope that helps.

No, did it another way. I wiped dalvik/cache/data /system and when I flashed the newest cm nightly (using twrp), before I deleted the the my phone on the router (i have a fritzbox). This was the only to get wifi on my phone working again. (lot of work, but all the other ways I tried don't gave me success).
Reset the access from the device to your router. Once delete the device and then re-enable then it should go. Had the problem once, once made, never happened.

Thanks, deleting it on the router actually solved the problem. Can't believe I didn't come up with this myself.

i had this issue before:
i rebooted my router and it worked. maybe it will help you too?
Thanks for the reply. I already deleted all the connections and still it didnt work.
Two mobile phones are connected at the same wifi, and they work properly.
what rom are you using?
maybe you need to re-flash that?
I seem to have a problem with my WiFi after every firmware update...after every firmware update I've received it breaks my WiFi..It will stay connected for like 15-20 secs then disconnect then reconnect. Annoying. Previously, all I had to do is do a factory reset and all was fixed but this most recent update.. problem wasn't fixed after a factory reset...Any ideas?

Same problem has just been solved on TF101 B80 by manual re-flashing stock firmware (8.6.5.13 WW).
With best regards.
Aleksey.
So, after I flashed Cyanogenmod 10.1.3 for my Tab 2, it cannot connect to my wifi. I flashed it with the proper procedures, like wiping Data and Dalvik cache, I've installed the Nightly builds to try to eliminate the problem and they kept crashing, so I reverted back to 10.1.3 and still no connection. I've reset my router and made sure that my password was right. Now I have no clue what to do next
Forgive me if this is in the wrong place, I've just signed up today.

Have you tried other ROMs? I've never had any problems connecting to WiFi networks on my p3100 running CM11. I have that issue too on my Ideos X6 phone, but only sometimes, which I think is caused by cheap hardware anyway.

Charge your tab to aprox 70% or more and Try this:
1-download a STOCK firmware file from the internet for your region( the region thing is not necessary, but just for the sake of it )
2- boot into recovery
3- wipe data/flactory reset
4- wipe cache
5-wipe dalvik
6-format /system
7- boot into download mode and flash the STOCK firmware file using ODIN.
i am assuming you have used ODIN before in this case... if you have not, then:
1-download ODIN ( http://samsung-updates.com/Odin307.zip )
2-make sure you have the correct drivers installed
3-connect the device ( in the text box, it should say added)
4- click on the pda option and select the firmware file ( make sure ONLY auto reboot and F.reset time are checked )
5- click on START button to flash the file.

I don't think its a ROM related issue. There must be some issue with your router itself... try resetting your router and change WPA/WPA2 password once...and reconnect again with new password. give me a feedback so that i can help you further.

I don't think you would be able to connect to WEP networks..as android versions >2.3.7 does not have access to those networks by default....but you can give that a shot.

I also changed the my encryption from WPA to WPA2 and used Wifi Manager from an apk. The one from here https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.kman.WifiManager
It came in a apk that i moved to my tablet to install. Still doesn't work.
I'm losing hope.
I am having the same issue for about a week now. It does not appear to be router related, or software related either.
We have two P3113 tablets in the house, and when mine went wonky - set my daughter's with same software and her's connects without issue.
Rooted, not rooted, stock recovery or custom. Stock software from 4.0.4 to 4.2.2 and custom ROM's as well. Currently running CM 11 on both. One connects while the other does not
I think it may be hardware related

Your problem might be related to duplicated mac addreses. Could you check if both tabs have different mac addresses.
This also counts for all others, check if there are no other devices with the same mac.
When I was building CM for both my Xperia L & Tab, they both got the same mac address because they where build on tbe same host.

Mac addresses are different. There is an issue with the IP address on the one that does not connect. It is blank by default, and manually inputting the address does not help

I have this rather annoying problem with my OPO: When I'm on WiFi and go out of range and get within range of another WiFi (eg leaving from home in the morning and getting on the train where there's also WiFi) my OPO will not connect.
I've tried switching WiFi off and back on, tried forgetting network and connecting again but the network just displays as "Saved". Only thing that works is a reboot. Funny thing is that it actually detects open WiFi's and displays the question mark in the notification bar.
I've read that themes can cause WiFi problems so I haven't changed that. I'm using the Apex launcher with no visual changes.
I've rooted my phone but left the bootloader locked.
Any advice?
I'm rooted with the TWRP custom recovery installed. I had the same thing happen to me. If you toggle airplane mode on/off, it will reconnect. But, as for a solution, my fix was to restore a previous TWRP backup of my phone. I also had heard that the problem could be coming from a theme. What themes have you used? I bought the Flux theme and have been using its style and fonts. I was running the stock CM11s when this happend just a few days after getting my OPO. I would try a factory reset first. If that does not work, there is a thread in the OPO forums about flashing a factory image and getting back to 100% stock.
I have switched to the CM11 nightlies as of a couple of days ago. I will probably refrain from messing around with the theme packs for now.

I'm now on KTU84P and the problem is still there
Yesterday I failed to flash MAHDI and ended up clearing everything from my phone. I had to follow this guide:

I really hate to hear that you are still having the wifi issue. One would think that if you flashed all partitions with a factory image that it would solve the problem. You might want to have a look at this thread. This guy was unsuccessful in fixing his efs and bluetooth problems until he flashed Color OS and then went back to CM. Been there. Done that. Read the book. Got the t-shirt.
Flashed ColorOS.
Factory reset.
Booted and got through into ColorOS (skipped account setup).
Booted into recovery.
Factory reset.
Restore backup of CM11S.
No dice :'-(
What are my options now?
A couple of days ago I completely wiped my OPO - radio, modem, everything and flashed a new stock image. Nothing has helped.
I really find it hard to believe this to be a hardware issue.

I was having the same issue, but here's what I did and it seems to have resolved my issue.
1) Updated firmware on my ASUS AC68 router
2) Boot into recovery mode (volume down+power), wipe cache and media, then factory wipe
3) When setting up phone, did not apply CM theme on the options after logging into CM account.
It seems like WiFi might drop when you get to homescreen, just reboot phone and Wifi should reconnect. Make sure to go into your WiFi settings and remove any networks that was saved, and re-add.
Still not ideal (since it seems like themes might be killing WiFi for some users), so hopefully a new OTA update will solve this problem.

Up to you. I never "dirty flash".
Just a thought;
In that link it seems to be a few dirty flashers.

Lucky you, I had to manually flash everything, and I was all Benzo'd out at like midnight, so I messed it up like 3 times and had to do it over and over. lolz
But the only way to see is to try.
Just so you know.
I am currently connected to a corperate wifi fully secured with no issues. I have always connected here. However I do not let google keep my wifi info and password.
I also have the same encryption at home. no issue.
Just tested connected to the WPA2 Guest here and no issues.
It looks like it could be the "google" restore junk causing issue with some ppl. So try not using that if you have the option.
After that I'm out of Ideas. Sorry if none this helps.

To be fair, I did have to manually flash it all because it kept getting stuck at 'missing boot.img' error when i tried using the flash-all script. I have just done a data & cache wipe & it now works! The first time around I did let it 'restore' from the cloud, but didn't let it do it this time. So you're right it looks like that might be the cause.
Thanks for your help
So, If I attempt to do a factory reset and then skip the restoring of any settings-it should work?
Should I skip restoring the apps from the play store as well?
