Totally out cold...

hi guys...
i have this problem... i think i've flashed my mini too many times or something, my last flash was WWE_11200_550_11200... and it went flat liner, dead.... totally... can't on it now, can't bring it to boot loader or what so ever... is there any method to bring it back to life? pls help...
there's no led appearing when i'm charging... but when i removed the battery cover, the led turns red... that happens also when i remove the battery and put the back cover back on...
man... am i screwed or what...
Assuming you have tried leaving out the battery over night, etc, etc- Your device will need to be sent to the service center.
Had the same thing happen to me back in July- I think the bootloader was corrupted.
I replied to a similar problem only a few days ago.
i think you're right... so is there anyway i can fix the bootloader?
I'm not aware of any utility available to public for repairing the Magician bootloader.
I think there is one for the Blue Angel- I tried that one in vain but no joy.
As long as your device is in warranty, you shouldn't have much of a problem.
thanks man... i guess have no other choice but to send it back...
cheers..
I have have had this happen to me twice now,
left the battery out for 5-6 hours then re-inserted it (with the back cover on, m500 has a quirky switch that the cover pushes down) and then held the buttons down to place it into bootloader mode (held down until it appeared)
good luck
Imp
pls give me more details... cos if i'm sending it back for repair, i will need to post it oversea... that will be my last resort...
im having the same problem..
as far as i can tell the battery is just completely flat..
however without a working ROM the unit will not charge the battery..
thats what i believe anyways

Alright well im new to this site so bare with me... I have an Rooted Htc Evo (if helps any) with no other type of ROMs( if helps any ha). Ive tried taking battery out+ letting it sit for about 3hrs without it... battery in the freezer... hard reset ( but does not respond in any way... letting it charge ( evn without the little light on, and i know theres nothing wrong with the charger or the little port to the phone)

Yea man, I am in the same boat as you right now. Phone has been working awesome for the year that I had it. This morning I downloaded peggle from the amazon app store, started the app, shot one ball and the phone powered off.
No dice on the power lights. No booting. The closest I can get is the white screen that says HTC Evo on it. It flashes on for a split second and then dies out again.
I am assuming the phone is bricked? Probably headed to Best Buy tonight to have it swapped out. I have my insurance through them.

My Galaxy S3 just died without explanation (resolved)

Welp,
There's no doubt in my mind that my Galaxy S3 just hard bricked
Looking for some advice on what to do.
I've had the phone for 20 days, I've been running Beans Custom Stock ROM Build 10 for over a week I think?
And this is how it happened:
I started sending a few texts to one of my brothers, with "Go SMS" , and my phone around the time I hit send decided to switch to 4G (which it hardly does because it's only 1-2 bars where I am) , I then went into the basement and my phone then went to show 0 bars of 4G, then looked like it was going to switch to 3G but then the SMS application hung. I tried closing it, but it wouldn't, so I held down the power button and as the boot menu was coming up, that hung, so I pulled down the notifications bar and tried shutting off data, but then that hung. So, I had no choice but to pull the battery.
I left the battery out for a little while and then put it back in. Held the power button, and the device hung on the "Samsung Galaxy S III" first boot screen. I pulled the battery again and waited for a really long while and took my Micro SDXC out.
Tried to boot but power button does nothing. There's no signs off life!
Plugging it into a wall charger does nothing and I'm sure there's still charge in the battery because when it died it was around 20-30%.
Only sign of life I can get is when I plug it into my PC and then put the battery in. THE RED LIGHT TURNS ON.
:crying:
I have no idea what caused this, and I have no idea what to do!
Will Verizon cover this since it bricked without question and it's been under 30 days?
Or maybe Samsung will cover it?
Or because I rooted, I pretty much screwed myself?
I've never had anything like this happen before so I'm stumped...................HELP!!!!!!!!!!! I used to love my S III but now it's just a really nice paperweight.............. :crying:
I guess this is an option also: http://mobiletechvideos.mybigcommerce.com/samsung-galaxy-s-iii-jtag-brick-repair/

But I've had it for 20 days now and their website says they don't allow returns or replacements after 14 days. Or is this different because it randomly died?
Also. I don't get insurance on my phones because they always would charge me $10 or more a month and then when the phone died they would charge half the cost of the phone just to get it replaced!
Honestly I think I may just send it to MobileTechVideos.........
Unless I still have a chance with Verizon. Hard decision............
I'm pretty sure the 14 day timeframe is for refunds on the purchase. Most electronics have some sort of manufacturer's warranty.
Have you tried to get it into download mode? volume down, then home, then power, Hold them all together until it boots into download mode? Do this while plugged in maybe?
samsung s 3

Haha. Thanks!
Well, I ended up making a Google Voice account since my phone is dead and I called Verizon customer service. The first lady started having me go through the usual checklist like most companies do, I very nicely let her know that I've tried it all and I indeed know it's dead without explanation. She then sent me to someone higher up, we talked very briefly and she said it's covered under the manufacturer warranty, they're sending me a replacement for free. Only thing I paid for was a $12 upgrade to 1-day shipping!
I seriously was freaked out that I wasn't going to be able to get this replaced. Thankfully I can!
So, I guess, some advice to people that have hard bricked Galaxy S IIIs, CALL VERIZON BEFORE ANYTHING ELSE!
Thanks for the suggestions and help guys!
It's crazy how deep the brick went, the phone wouldn't even charge! Maybe I got a lemon? I hadn't even dropped or scratched it and I had 0 problems with unlocking/rooting it. I swear it was it hanging on trying to switch from 4G to 3G that killed it. Either way, stress is gone! phew! :fingers-crossed:

It's hard bricked. Will not charge, no booting, and download or recovery mode won't work. Will not show any indication of life except for plugging it into a power source without the battery and then putting the battery in. If the red light comes on when you do that, it means it's hard bricked? Correct me if I'm wrong?

If you can't get into download mode then yea, most likely I guess or the battery died. I just didn't see that you said you tried to get into download mode.

Glad you got this fixed! Also i think its a 30 day replacement or swap for another phone if you don't like it. Thats what i was told when i got mine.

[Q] Phone won't boot at all

Hello guys,
My blaze will not boot up at all. I get no buzz, like when the battery needs charging. I have connected my phone to the computer and it still won't cut on. I have taken the battery out and let it charge over night, phone still wont cut on. I have tried holding buttons and anything I can think of my phone still wont cut on. It worked just find a couple of days ago and when I woke up I had this problem. I rooted it in nov. to the baked rom. Before I completely give up on this phone, I was wondering did any of you have any suggestions.
Thanks

Get a new battery
check for water damage, battery.. did you do anything to it?? Drop it??
Kudos to what racing said. You could try taking out the battery. Plugging it into your computer. Before inserting the battery hold down the volume buttons down then put it in. Try combos with the individual volume buttons. Just shooting blindly here. Might get download mode might not.

Sorry if I seemed short earlier, get in trouble with the wifey for xda.

Thanks guys. None of your suggestions helped. Truly wished they would have. However since I already broke the screen to the phone from dropping it, Im just gonna buy a new one. Thanks anyways

Phones dead

Hi
I was charging my phone and it went dead black screen no boot at all
Any trick to wake it up, i have changed the battery with no luck
what could be the problem,
Did u pull the battery and boot that way, this happens to mine all the time, no clue why, its really pissing me off, i am rooted, not sure if u are,but this is gettin out of control, goes black and have to pull the battery to restart, the power button does nothing. Let me know if thats your issue aswell
Do you mean take the batterie out and put it in again and then start . This procedure have i tried many times with no luck
Yes I'm rooted I remember that it was on 50% when it goes black and I successfully got it booted again I did not know how I think it was luck, then I flashed the current stock rom but it went down again and now I can't get it to boot again, it's totally dead
when it happens to me, i could be in the middle of doing something or even if the phone is just in standby, but the strange thing is that its still technically connected to my samsung gear fit, its not til i take the battery out that it disconnects from it and then after puttin battery back in the phone reboots. its just strange, im hoping maybe its battery related so i have a few new batteries coming this week to check if thats the problem. the battery is still stock and doesnt look like its bloated but that was a issue with other batteries ive had in other phones causing it to turn off. THis site didnt have much info on the issue but google searchin for black screen on android had alot of other options
