Seems the Darkslide rom thread has been pulled. Maybe because of some weird XDA rule, but more likely all the Gummy homer's are behind it and/or Kejar complained again. Explanation please, mods...
Im not sure why it was pulled either but would like to know why..... I was under the impression this was a open discussion site..

What are you talking about? Gummy nor Kejar had anything to do with it. Here's a better idea. Ask the Dev's why they requested it removed. Retard. What makes your post even worse. I know why it was pulled because if it shows a link that they do not approve of, they will have it pulled just like the thread I started on the voodoo kernel that was on another site. It appears that the site is not about what maybe the best out there for this phone etc but who wants to control what content. It is a sad day when an open discussion can not occur on what others may be seeing, using or finding. Watch out because freedom of speach may not be tolerated. I have sent Emails on these issues. Followup if you want the insanity stopped. I am sure this will also be pulled. Sorry guys.

It's called exclusivity, they are wanting to keep the ROM exclusive on their forums. It's a way of gaining hits. Most may not have noticed, but BBCrackman is the founder of the forums his ROM is posted on. Granted, the post linked to his, but he's the only one who knows the real reason it was pulled. As far as blaming Kejar, do yourself a favor and shove your pie hole farther up Denalo's poop shoot fan boi.

What, lol, you serious? I think your logic (or lack there of) is flawed. It was just a link on xda. Having an external link to their rom would only get them more hits and make the rom more known (which obviously is why the thread was pulled). Nice try homer.

Get off the Gummy bandwagon and get on the Charge bandwagon. Gummy is a good rom and I've never said it wasn't. I do however think that Darkslide is the best rom out at the moment. Just seems like all the negative comments about Darkslide came from poster's with "Gummycharged" in their signatures, which, along with the fact it was pulled makes the Gummy crowd as a whole seem petty and childish.

People tell me it works but gummy and humble use different apps. So while the framework is the same. You will end up having to delete some of the apps I themed for gummy make sure you back up first.....

I had promised a couple people I would port a few themes to humble and while I dont share in gunners contempt for danelo I have to agree with him. Humble is a total kang, Top to bottom and left to right.
I didnt know anything about kejars and danelo's rift until kejar publicly responded to danelo's apology. If only half of what kejar said is true then I have lost respect for danelo. As I suspect most themers, mods and devs have. As I said I dont hate danelo and respect can be earned back.
Unfortunatly I cannot support danelo's rom at this time. My themes will only be made for gummy and eclipse(Cause nitro is da man). Now while I will not support humble specifically, my themes should work with it. Hopefully this all blows over and peace reins supreme but until danelo removes the gummy base and mods his own rom I dont think it will.

I don't mind Danalo or Humble. It's nice having more ROMs but Danalo totally ripped Gummy and labeled it as his own, he calls it a "low power ROM" which as Kejar has showed us is complete BS. They all receive the same battery life if you flash correctly. Still, I like the fact that there are more ROMs out there since we all know this phone needs it.
Anyways, some themes will work, some won't. Since Humble is pretty much GC a lot of them should work but again, some will work and some won't. Just use Titanium and backup all your apps/system data so you can restore everything if you have any problems. If a theme goes wrong and it doesn't cause boot looping and is just a little buggy just reboot into CWM and reflash your Humble.zip and it will remove the theme. It will also most likely reset your home pages so beware.

To be fair a lot of the whiners and complaints came before the release of the jt's ics and jt's breakthrough with the kernel. Most folks don't read around enough to know what's going on. Just skim through the topics and see or don't see something then make assumptions based on that. Best practice is to refrain from complaining one way or another. Be patient.

I try and help here when I can as this seems to be a starting point for people new to android development.

You're kidding right? Rootzwiki for Droid charge is an asylum. They close down posts all the time for whining. How many times was the CM7 thread closed over there?
I think it has more to do with Droid charge owners than the forum. Rootzwiki and XDA for Touchpad, Moto Bionic, Fascinate are all very sane when i used them. They are well kept and organized. I just bought the RAZR and visited droidrzr.com, razrforums.com, xda and rootzwiki, all provide information without ranting.
I think it's just that people are frustrated with the Charge phone. It's just not a great phone. On rootzwiki, developers have been running away from this phone, even selling off the phones donated to them to develop on and not producing a ROM. That is partly why i got frustrated with the phone as well. I've had crap phones in the past with hardware limitation issues that were overcome by good custom ROMS. That just hasn't happened with the Charge and I think we need to remember that developers don't do this for a living, but for fun. If they don't like the phone, they will move on to things that interest them more.
Hopefully JT's CM9 ROM will be the beggining of normalization to this phone and i wish it great success after a shaky start.

I think it's a great phone, it has just gotten poor support from Samsung and Verizon which created major hurdles for developers.
The Charge is plauged with one problem...lack of quality control on the hardware manufacturer end. I've experienced it firsthand when I had Samsung swap out some crappy components for good ones.
I really don't see a better phone (overall) for what I deem important, than the Charge on Verizon. There is only one phone that I feel beats the Charge hands down and that's the GS2.
I forgot where I was going with this so I'll sum it up with...
The Charge is great.
I guess I've been lucky with mine, barring two component swaps.
I hope the Giants beat Green Bay...

I don't know what problem you are referring to - I can focus my camera fine - just touch the screen in the area I want to focus and the camera focuses - looks great - am I missing something here? is there some other kind of focusing problem?

Don't take this the wrong way. I don't want to say anything bad about someone's work, but until we know what 'it' is, this thread is of no use. If you were to make a thread with a fix and details in it in the first place, less trolling would occur. I sometimes do have this problem, many others have too, including Google. Google has acknowledged this and fixed it in 4.0.4 along with other things. Team Douche (Cyanogemmod) are waiting for 4.0.4 to add more features to cm like theme chooser and customizations.

If you were to make a thread with a fix and details in it in the first place, less trolling would occur. I sometimes do have this problem, many others have too, including Google. Google has acknowledged this and fixed it in 4.0.4 along with other things. Team Douche (Cyanogemmod) are waiting for 4.0.4 to add more features to cm like theme chooser and customizations.

I understand. And yea I'll wait. What I did was take the apk from Clean GB rom, compare the two, and I changed stuff accordingly to that. It works, but if the problem still persists in 4.0.4 then I'll post the mod. Oh and taking the apk wasn't all I did. I'm in school and I hacked their website blocking crap, I don't have the time to type the two paragraphs of what I did.

Oh ok I see. Well now I'm getting the idea that it isn't actually focusing... I themed it as well so if you guys want my themed version let me know. But I'll put my hand 3 inches away, it'll say its focusing but its still rather blurry.
So I can either post what I currently have, or you guys can wait for me to figure out why it was broken to begin with and wait for me to 100% fix it, or go the safe way and wait for "team douche" to release 4.0.4
Its up to you guys. I probably shouldn't have posted this until I knew for a fact I could get it up in the same day, or the next day. I'll try my best to hop on my pc and upload it but my dads complaining about how ridiculously priced it is for me to run my computer, so if it isn't today it'll be Sunday. I can try doing it all from my phone tomorrow but chances of that are low.
I'll keep you all updated. Sorry for the troubles. My suggestion is to wait for 4.0.4 but I will upload mine if you want

22ghz isn't cheap . No they actually aren't. He doesn't wanna say it but its because my step mom sits on the couch 10 hours a day with the tv on then goes in her room for bed and watches another 4. THAT'S why the bill is so high. When I stream stuff and leave my computer on its only 2 dollars an hour.

I am one of the testers for EdgeHoods new ROM: ENVY. Im writing this to give you all a heads up on how GREAT this rom is! I honestly believe it is the best rom i have tried..and i've tried a few already and just honestly its the best. Its snappy, fast and just all around great! Im getting unbelievable battery life...about 14-20 hours(depending on if i use my phone alot) on 1 charge while on wifi. Its really truly great and when the rom comes out for everyone i highly recommend that all try it and see for yourself. If any of the testers wanna post something go for it because i know you guys love it too! BE ENVIOUS!

Well he's trying to get his 10 posts. Someone who said just post in the general with thoughts was wrong. I suggest you help the community with answers to receive your 10 posts rather than spamming it with this thread that will only ly end up getting locked.

Actually yes you got through a whole process while you sign up, hopefully you read that and the video of how not be a noob. We don't wanna say you are but like it causes problems on developers and the forums if we have constant clutter with all these types of threads that can be considered useless if there have already been solves threads of the same exact problem and such. I don't wanna sound mean but I don't really enforce this, this is just the way this site it. To be honest, I actually think we won't have much people on here if it weren't for one click roots and such meaning less noobs who end up having problem for their lack of rudimentary knowledge towards the android world.

There may be another thread for it, but at some point we're all beginners and learning how to use a new system (forum system in this case). Let him get his post count up and if you don't like this thread or if you insist on complaining about this thread, just let it die out and don't post your complaints here.

No, I am saying you all guys used be NOOB when we came to XDA forum to learn something new. Right? So Let's give OP a break and it's cool if someone want say it about the beta ROM. Nothing harm to anyone.
Please don't take this offense and I am not perfect grammar since my english is my secondary language.
Leave him alone guys lol, there really isn't any reason that this CAN'T be posted in General. If you think that it should be posted in the ROMs thread, that's fine, but there's no reason to team up on the poor guy about it.
