Pretty average, it can play Angry Birds smoothly but anything 3D isn't that brilliant. It's a bit below the Desire I'd say.
Hmm I thought so. Thanks

Indeed, don't buy it if you want great performances.
It can't be slower than Desire. It has newer cpu and gpu (Adreno 205 vs Adreno 200 on Desire). And the lower resolution helps the performance too.

Chacha uses Qualcomm MSM7227T. And this has Adreno 200.

That would actually be pretty cool, although I don't think it would be possible due to the fact that WebOS isn't designed to run on the Tegra 2 Platform. Then again, I might be wrong.

Exactly... the fact that it is open source does not mean squat... you have to have drivers to link the hardware to the software... and even if nvidia releases all the source code for the tegra2 drivers this will not matter as it is coded for android...
fundamentally it is possible to do, the only problem is one would have to code the drivers and everything related to them from the ground up with having very little clue where to start... a next to impossible feat...

first of all 2700 is low
second of all, that quadrant graph has not been updated since they added dual/quad core support
so thats galaxy nexus running 1 core test
check my screenshot for some sensation power, 1512mhz gets 3700 points
was with openSensation btw
My phone just sucks in benchmarks . Quadrant cant get over 3000 mark. Antutu usaly 6800+ on 1.5 ghz. But no lag in programs and in the interface, but seeing this score im thinking something is not ok with it.

I know the 2 devices have the same S3 chip set but Sammy definitely did better implementing it.. Though I tend to not trust quadrant I score over 3200 with no overclock on my SGS 2.. just saying .. not to mention my buddy has a GNex and that shiz is fast...

Its inflation. Quadrant is notorious for this. R/RW speed between the current devicesis pretty much the same, especially when they are all on custom ext4 partitions .. Hence why you can run 4 benchmarks and get 4 different scores .. notice the CPU and graphics numbers don't really flux to much...

you all realize that quadrant is only good for comparing devices with the same screen resolution, right?
The Gnex is running at a much higher resolution and becuase of that the scores will be lower in Quadrant.
Quadrant runs at the phones native resolution so the gnex has to work harder... I cant believe people still use this as their proof....
Hi i was having a big argue with a friend so Im asking this here
I'll take HTC wildfire as example at the whole post!
So I was saying that wildfire doesn't have a gpu. My friend said "not true....every phone has a gpu otherwise the screen would have no signal cause the graphic part can not be calculated"
so I said "in the wildfire the cpu calculates the graphic part "
He said "no....the cpu need a gpu to do it "
So I said " ok so he doesn't have a dedicated gpu " and he said that its impossible for a phone to have a dedicated gpu cause the case its not big enough to keep it in ....
So the point is
- for me wildfire doesn't have any gpu and the calculation of the graphic part belongs only to the cpu -according to my friend every phone has a gpu like the one in the nexus s or in any other top range phone ..
Thanks in advance for answers!!
Sent from my Nexus S using XDA
CPU, GPU, APU, the lines have been blurred. It really doesn't matter.
You have soc "cpu" which contains a lot more than just a CPU, a5x is more a gpu than CPU, and APU designs that do both tasks well. CPU/GPU traditional systems are quickly becoming a thing of the past.

Right, it doesn't have a dedicated GPU in it's SoC. Graphics processing is pushed to the CPU, which is why it kinda sucks for playing movies.
So it doesn't have a dedicated gpu or it doesn't have a gpu at all?!
Cause he said that a dedicates gpu its too big for a phone....

A lot of high-end phones have had dedicated GPUs for a long time now, the Krait S4 uses the Adreno 225 GPU.
Just like in bargain pc's, if the SoC doesn't have a dedicated GPU then it has an integrated GPU. You need graphics processing to have a screen, so its happening somewhere. You just get very bad results without a dedicated GPU.
The Wildfire runs MSM7225 at 600MHz I think, which has a cut-down Adreno 200.
All phones possess a GPU of sorts, although it is usually part of the SoC in modern smartphones. Even feature phones have a 'GPU', although it's usually just a basic Boradcom display controller with no 3D or video acceleration support
So I'm now thinking about the tegra 3 .... it does have an integrated gpu right?!

We're entering the realm of SoCs now. Tegra is both a CPU and a GPU at the same time.

I'll generalise for you:
In all modern smartphones, no matter what SoC is used, a 'piece' of the package is the GPU. Technically, they are integrated. This is common across all manufacturers, as separate chips for everything wastes power and PCB space.
To answer your question, in terms of contruction there are no differences. Adreno 200 is a small 'piece' of the MSM7225 chip, while whatever Tegra 3's GPU is called is a small 'piece' of the Tegra 3 chip
One of the major features of the HTC One X is it's snapdragon S4 processor with possible the best mobile GPU today. Well with that hardware there is only one question What are the best games that are accelerated by the snapdragon S4 ?

Ya, I do know the difference in fact quad-core actually takes less battery and beats audio is also included in the tegra3.
