Anyone s-off their Thunderbolt with the Clip?
I have an XTC clip and was wondering if I should even try this.
Thanks!
I wouldn't. You cant get back to s-on if you use the clip. Just go to http://revolutionary.io

You'd better post this in the XDA Marketplace. Someone may me interested there .

How much for your XTC clip?
EDIT: giorgisp got there first!

Seeing as that you got the XTC Clip for free I think you should donate it to a deserving developer here as a parting gift
Exactly. I was.thinking of just giving out free with the sensation.

You should send it to Cyanogen if he gets the Sensation so he can maybe help us get S-OFF

If no one else wants it, I'd be glad to take it off your hands May be able to pay a little bit...I dunno.
Sorry to ask a question that I thought that I knew the answer to but is the XTC clip S-OFF reversible, the post below has confused me:

S-on after xtc clip can be achieved by running this on the phone, in a root shell: echo -e '[email protected]=7,1\r' > /dev/smd0

as this obviously has significant implications towards being able to ensure that we can keep our warranty valid.
Would appreciate your comments and opinions.
I thank you.

may be you need someone to try it ???
So far as I can tell, no its not

I think it isn't. Even if it is, we need someone to test it, but i'm pretty sure no one will. Who want's to revert back to stock? You'd have to do the WHOLE procedure again. S-Off is the toughest part, no one would want to go back (except for warranty purposes)
Someone who owns the unlimited version of XTC Clip, can try these commands and confirm if it works, He can then S-OFF again using the clip.

I Completely agree with you, so do we have any volunteers?
I know that I had to travel 60 miles and spent £10 to achieve my s-off status (thanks @yourmate) and I'm not ready to do it again
But this would be very good to know

60 miles ?!? Wow that's a lot. I found one in my neighbourhood, so i barely travelled 3 miles, and i spent the same amount, but for what i've got on my phome right now, i would've travelled 60 miles.
Hi Everybody,
XTC Clip can only Turn S-OFF. It dosent have the Feature to Turn S-ON.
Hope My Clarification is Enough.
I have success fully S-OFFed many.

I hope it works for the mt4gs, I am s-off so I can't test.
Anyone can confirm, I've written guides on turning both S-ON from S-OFF and how to relock the bootloader.

I used a paper clip wrapped in electrical tape....
You can use anything that conducts electricity... The little twist ties from bread should do it... Just srape off the covering at either end of it.. (or use a paper clip) whatever you can find

Well, I did Juopunut the bad ass way. Stripped an Ethernet cable, took out one of the small wires and made it the appropriate length and then stripped the ends. Voila! Perfect insulated wire for the job.

I bought mine off Craigslist so I don't have T-Mobile warranty. I have a small crack on the top left of screen. Will htc cover that? Also how easy is it to unroot? And if they send me a different phone will I be able to root it? In case of newer boot loader?

Hi,
Yes ,no matter who owns the phone, the warranty is still valid.
I doubt ,though, that a cracked screen would be covered.
Ring HTC,and see.
Unroot and s-on can be found HERE
Any phone that is currently returned, seems to come back with a 1.29 hboot.
It is getting increasingly more difficult to unroot,s-off etc.
Cheaper faster to YouTube screen replacement do ur self

so does anyone know if HTC covers screen cracks in manufacturers warranty?
Posted by my Inquisitioned Sensation
Why not go to the horse's mouth and ASK HTC?
Is something wrong with going to their website and reading their warranty terms?
