The Dev Subpsyke is able to compile from source the Android Porting the CyanogenMod 7.1 (RC1) for our leading Vodafone Smart Gingerbread 2.3.7.
The port is stable and all the hardware works fine. Only small defect external audio a little hard with the volume up while everything perfect in your headphones.
I have created a modified version of the base Subpsyke adding various things including the overclocked and underclocked all of my SmatLucky then the kernel. Also added various other fixes.
Flashing For my version is fine the Recovery you have now but if you want to flash the rom you'll have to upgrade its subpsyke Recovery Clockwork.
IMPORTANT
The Dual has become CyanoLucky fact you can install this rom into Smart U8160 & Ideos U8150. One rom for 2 Devices, double-kernel and custom directories. When you start the flash, my CyanoLucky SmartIdeos recognize to your device and installing the appropriate directory. The base of the rom is the same for both devices and will be to Subpsyke for the latest version of the Smart V 0.5 with some of my customizations. From custom rom Tilal6991 took some Lib and bin files. From custom rom of Memories Killer took New Boot.img with USB Mount Fix.
For the Smart U8160 the biggest problem is the sound a little high but for the most serious Ideos have some bugs like FMRadio and audio little high same Smart this for DSP Manager and libaudioflinger.so (My idea).
ATTENTION
To install this new custom rom I tested the Recovery Clockwork of Subpsyke that the recognition of strings of the device. The Recovery Sebastina404 could not install the rom just not having this kind of recognition. So before you flash the CyanoLucky V2 install the Recovery of Subpsyke.
For the Ideos i have personally tested UltraJack Recovery v 6.2.2 but it certainly will be fine too Clockwork.

edit: oh gosh we are on october with gb 2.3.7...
Updated first post with the new V2 CyanoLucky. Only one rom for two devices
Smart U8160
Ideos U8150
Bye.
Can't install anything....!!
Ideos U8150
I have a Vodafone 858 (U8160) and installed the following items in this order today:
SuperOneClickv2.1.1-ShortFuse.zip which successfully rooted my phone.
ClockworkMod-u8160-v0.1.zip which provided the new boot from zip options.
CyanoLucky_SmartIdeos_V2.zip which installed the new Gingerbread v2.3.7 ROM.
It works!
Thank you to all who contributed to this great upgrade. Pure magic.
You have Recovery UltraJack 6.2.2??????
If you not have this recovery download and try ---> Here
Bye.
I have downloaded UltraJack, thanks for the suggestion, but with everything working so well I'm happy to leave it as it is for a while.
Does UltraJack replace ClockworkMod? Would I have to install CyanoLucky_SmartIdeos_V2.zip again?
Thanks so much for your original post. My 858/U8160 has been transformed.
My main phone is a HTC HD2 which I have also upgraded to Android 2.3.7 (using other tools). Great to have my backup phone on the same OS.

If it helps, I just did a normal wipe/install from CMR like I would flash any other rom. I have CMR v 3.0.2.4. Cheers.

Yes, no problems with Market v 3.1.5. Maybe try redownloading gapps and flashing again?
Problem installing applications
This ROM gives errors on installing some applications (when installed on U8150).
Error = Application not installed
I noticed it refused to auto update the included QuickPic. It gave a notification that the certificate was not signed correctly. Then this morning it gave the same error when ROM Manager tried to auto update.
For QuickPic, i uninstalled, then tried reinstall from market but it gave a different error which I can't remember, sorry. I was able to restore via Titanium BU though.
I also noticed Gmail app receives ok but sent mails sit in the outbox stuck on "sending" but don't actually send.
widget not work
flash my u8160 with cyanolucky v2 some times apps .apk not installer and extra install widget not work with use on home srceen. sorry my bad english
Thank you for this...
Hey erlucky,
I installed this rom without any problem on my u8150-b using clockworkmod recovery 3.0.2.4 and it works fine! After install I rebooted then flashed gapps. Except for the known bugs everything else works. Good job on this one!
will def check this out looks good

Many people seem to be having a lot of trouble flashing recoveries for their Ideos so I figured I would write this thread because I haven't found any other guides for flashing U8150 recoveries.
Method 1
1. Install Terminal Emulator from the market.
2. Install Root Explorer from the market.
3. Download the recovery of your choice and copy the recovery.img to your sd card. (if its not named recovery.img rename it)
4. With Root Explorer, navigate to where the recovery is and copy it to /system/bin/ (remember to select mount as R/W first in order for it to copy.)
5. Open Terminal Emulator and enter the command "su" (without the quotes)
6. After that enter the command "flash_image recovery /system/bin/recovery.img" (again without the quotes)
7. That's it, the recovery has been flashed. Reboot in recovery to confirm.
8. Once you've confirmed the recovery flashed properly remember to delete the recovery.img from /system/bin/ (using root explorer, and mount as R/W)
Method 2
I find this method much easier because you don't have to go through the trouble of installing drivers. Also you don't need to connect your device to your PC. Your device needs to be rooted though. If your device isn't rooted simply download z4root from the market and root it.
1. Download and install ROM Manager from the market.
(If you simply want to flash the latest working ClockworkMod Recovery and not an older version or UltraJack skip to step 6.)
2. Navigate to the folder /clockworkmod/download/mirror.sea.tdrevolution.net/cm/recoveries/ (create the folders if they are not already there)
3. Delete any files in that folder.
4. Download the recovery you want to use from the recovery links below. Unzip the file. Rename the "recovery.img" file to "recovery-clockwork-3.0.2.4-ideos.img". (See note below)
5. Copy the renamed "recovery-clockwork-3.0.2.4-ideos.img" into the recoveries folder (/clockworkmod/download/mirror.sea.tdrevolution.net/cm/recoveries/)
6. Open ROM Manager and select Flash ClockworkMod Recovery. It will bring up a list of devices, just scroll down until you find Huawei U8150 Ideos and select it.
7. ROM Manager will flash the recovery image for you and you're done.
Now you have a working recovery. To test select Reboot into Recovery from ROM Manager.
Since you are renaming the recoveries remember to keep track of which recovery is currently in the recoveries folder.
Note: recovery-clockwork-3.0.2.4-ideos.img is the name of the latest ClockworkMod Recovery in rom manager at this time (28/04/2011). If it is updated and I haven't updated the thread, change the name of the recovery to the latest version.(i.e if the latest recovery is ClockworkMod 3.0.2.5, rename the img to recovery-clockwork-3.0.2.5-ideos.img instead of recovery-clockwork-3.0.2.4-ideos.img)
Method 3
Installing Drivers
Windows 7:
Download and install PDANet. That should install the drivers for you.
Alternatively, you could download the drivers and install them manually. First download the drivers for your OS from here.
Drivers Windows 32-Bit Mediafire Multiupload
Drivers Windows 64-Bit Mediafire Multiupload
Connect your device(you don't need to turn on USB storage) then open device manager. Right click on your device and select properties, select the hardware tab and then select properties. Select the drivers tab, then select Reinstall/Update Driver. Choose the option (Browse my computer for driver software) and select the drivers you just downloaded. (Extract the zip file first)
MacOS
Download and install PDANet. That should install the drivers for you.
Linux
Follow this guide by bloodychaos to get ADB working.
Flashing Recovery
1. Once you have the drivers installed download the recovery of your choice from the links below.
2. Extract the zip file and open the folder.
3. Turn off your phone.
4. Connect your phone to your PC.
5. Reboot your phone in bootloader mode. (Turn it on while holding the Volume Down button and the End(Red) Key.)
6. Run the install-recovery file/script for your OS found in the extracted recovery folder.
7. Once it flashes your phone should reboot.
N/B If you have trouble with the drivers or any other problems try Method 1.
Now you have a working recovery. To test turn off your phone, then turn it on while holding the Volume Up Key and the Green(Call) Key.

For some reason the ideos does not appear on the list, I have no idea why, you might have to try one of the other methods to flash a recovery.

Thanx for the quick reply, i ended up using method 3.
Just one thing about method 3, the batch file doesn't exist in the ClockworkMod 3.0.2.4 (by marcnvidic) link as it's only an .img file. So i simply downloaded the ClockworkMod 3.0.1.(by udK) zip file, and replaced the image with the newer 3.0.2.4 after unzipping it.
Thank you for the guide, i've successfully flashed clockworkmod, and backed up the phone. now all i have to do is choose a ROM.
which ROM do u suggest???

That was the official link from marcnvidic, the multipuload & mediafire mirrors should have the batch files. Anyway, for the rom I would suggest FUSIONideos or Dronix 0.4, there's a poll somewhere on this forum and those are the most popular, Gingerman V4 is also pretty good but I wouldn't suggest it as your first rom because its still relatively new and is still being improved so it isn't perfect as a daily use rom yet. I switch btw fusion & gingerman, but I can tell you fusion is pretty stable. One thing to note however, if you are not using gingerman or another cyanogenmod port, I would suggest using clockworkmod by udK as your recovery, cwm 3.0.2.4 has some issues making backups of other roms.
Mate, I'm loving this
So far i've flashed CM6.1 port, Fusion, and Dronix 0.4! hehe i'm addicted now! Right now i'm back to CM6.1, but will try Gingerman V4 soon
Thanx for your help mate, you're a champion.
EDIT: thought i'd explain why i'm on CM6.1. Reason being is that I even though i think Fusion is the better one so far, I can't seem to have a solid 3G connection.
I'm from Sydney Australia, and with Optus. The APN seems to be correct and all, but the phone keeps switching from 3G to H.
tq for this information...i have done it
thanks !!!!!
I'm having a bit of trouble.
I was trying method 2 and clicked the wrong phone model. I went to change it but found that "Huawei IDEOS U8150" is not listed. Now I cannot access my recovery menu, and cannot install clockwork recovery. How would I fix this? I've been searching for hours and only found ways to remove it via the recovery menu.
Everything is functioning fine so it's not a big problem, I just can't get to the recovery menu/boot loader.
Also, I attempted method 1 because it doesn't involve the use of the recovery menu. It says, "flash_image: not found" when I type the command.
Nevermind, put about another hour into searching. Thank you so much for this guide it helped me alot.
I installed ROM Manager and pressed "Flash ClockworkMod Recovery".
It downloaded some files and flashed the Mod.
(I have my u8150 rooted using SuperOneClick)
Now it shows that my ClockworkMod Recovery version is 3.0.2.4
BUT the problem is that:
1>If I press reboot into recovery, the phone reboots and I end up staring at the IDEOS logo for ... like ever.
2>I pressed Backup Current ROM and after giving it a name (Stock ROM), I pressed OK and again the same result.
3> I found on the internet that to go into the recovery mode I need to press the SEND (green button) and the Volume UP together and then press Power.
I did it, even held the three buttons in the next try... but sadly every time the phone got stuck and I ended up looking at the IDEOS logo.
and the only way to get the phone working again was to take out the battery and press Power. (the phone itself is running fine)
PLz kindly help me out on this.. am I missing something??
Thnx
That means the recovery didn't flash correctly. Are u sure u selected the right phone from the rom manager list. Try flash recovery again. But first u need to delete everything in the clockworkmod/download directory on the sd card. Or if you know how to, just delete the recovery image in that folder.
yes I selected the corret phone i.e. Huawei u8150 Ideos
i deleted everything in the clockworkmod/download directory on the sd card
re-flashed..
still the same problem
btw.. during flashing, twice I got a pop-up asking me to either "force close" or "wait" and I pressed "wait" both times.
P.S. I just noticed after removing the battery that it says the model of my phone is U8150-D. I wonder what the "D" stands for?
It shuld not be force closing. Maybe rom manager has a problem. Try reinstalling it. If that doesn't work I suggest trying one of the other methods to flash the recovery.
ok so ive just tried Method 1 and followed every step... and the funny thing is that when I enter the following command in terminal emulator:
flash_image recovery /system/bin/recovery.img
.. it says
flash_image: not found
lol
now im downloading ultrajack
Update:
Ive tried Method 3:
and for 10 minutes now.. my command prompt is still showing this message:
< waiting for device >
:-(
For method 3 try running the bat file first then when it shows you the waiting for device message turn on the phone in bootloader mode.
just did as you said, i turned off the phone.. ran the bat file, when it said waiting for device I plugged in the phone (battery charging started), then I pressed power while holding Red and Volume Down...
the result is the same..
(the same was the result when running ultrajack)
>im just wondering... do I need to install any kernel or something before doing this??
>also I noticed that the CWM's recovery.img that I got from this forum is 3.94MB, while the one I downloaded through the Rom Manager was 3.71MB (on both tries).
P.S. how do I completely remove CWM and its files? so i can start the process fresh. I read at some forum that there is some file related to this called update.zip... whats that?
(Sorry for being a bother and thnx for your help)
UPDATE !!!
Its done... its finally done. Yattaaaaa!!!
ok so here is is what I did....
>I deleted everything in the clockworkmod folder like you once mentioned before.
>You said that while flashing I shouldn't be getting a pop-up that asks me to either force close or wait.
>So I had a hunch that the popup that appeared during the flashing might have been caused due to the screen timeout set at 30 sec (i mean a clash of two processes)
>So, i set the screen timeout to 30 minutes (hehe) and pressed Flash ClockworkMod Recovery from the Rom Manager.
>It flashed without any pop-ups and it successfully booted into recovery mode (and the first thing I did was to backup my phone)
Once again thnx for your support wachw.
... and if you don't mind can you help me with one more thing (if it's convenient for you)... plz guide me how to install multitouch for my phone provided here (coz nobody at that thread has been generous enough to guide me ;_; )
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1014183
[i have downloaded the multitouch patch and the complied kernel, plz guide me on what to do next. thnx ]
Sorry about the delay, been busy, but, if you send me the link to your provider's rom I can make a multitouch version for you. Why don't you want to install a custom rom?
here is the link to my provider's rom:

custom rom, hmm.. well ive heard about them but for now i want to see how much can the stock rom be modified xD
btw is it really possible to edit the rom and remove the simlock

A. The market download a backup app like Titanium Backup (free) and take a backup of your applications that you have downloaded and installed earlier. Wipe carefully with you also lose all your sms and mms so if you do not want to lose save them with an app that you will surely find the Play Store.
B. Also from the market for those who have problems getting into Recovery with Vol + and Power download Quick Boot (Free).
C. Enter now in recovery using Quick Boot (if downloaded) Recovery choosing the menu for this app otherwise you have to turn off your device and enter the combination of the Vol + and Power.
D. Now you have to do a full backup system for restoring. Use the Volume keys go to the Backup and Restore menu and enter the Power Button.
E. In this sub menu drop down to the line "choose backup format" and confirm by pressing Power now get a line on the choice tar and confirm again with Power. You will set up the compression format. Tar.
F. Confirm that you see now on the first choice and that is "up" with the usual power button. Now just wait until the full backup! your Device (boot.img, recovery.img, System, Data and Cache).
G. Using the Volume keys go to the line + + + + + Go Back + + + + + and press Power.
H. Finally, again by pressing Power up line reboot system now to restart your device.
I. With the device turned on connect it to your PC using the USB cable and you will see the microSD ext (sdcard2) a new folder "ClockworkMod" for further safety advice to copy it to your PC. Else within the full backup of your system and then again get done just before a backup inside your PC.
Now the second point is finished so if you're still not convinced continue with the guide and go to step 3 to flash the custom rom.
3. Installing Custom Rom (Download, Wipe, Flash)
A. Downloaded from the link at the bottom of the page in the section DOWNLOAD my custom rom.
B. Copy it into your microSD
C. Restart your Gallant Duo Recovery with Quick Boot or Off with the usual combination of buttons Vol + and Power
D. First of all we have to do a clean install to make the two Wipe in the recovery. Then go to the line "wipe data / factory reset" and confirm by pressing Power. Do the same with the next choice "wipe cache partion". You will have reported at this point your device to factory state as the first starting of the engine.
E. Finally you are ready to flash your custom rom going on line "install zip from sdcard" and confirm by pressing Power.
F. Again confirmed on the first choice "choose zip from sdcard" with Power.
G. Now you have to choose the file you want to install name_custom_rom.zip. For my custom rom LiquiDuos.zip confirming with the usual Power button.
H. Finally get off the line and confirmed - Yes - Install LiquiDuos.zip. ----> Finally will start the installation.
I. Wait until the installation is finished.
L. Restart your device confirming the line reboot system now.
M. Reset all like the first time. If you synchronize your account you will download the app you previously installed and any updates. Otherwise downloaded from the market or install Titanium Backup and reinstall the app that you had previously saved at the beginning of this guide.

Removed system file from Micromax A110
Hi,
i was trying to do some changes to my micromax A110(android ics 4.0.4) with root access.
In an attempt to take a backup, i accidentally renamed /system/framework/framework.jar to /system/framework/framework.jar_old
Now the phone is not booting, i do not have CWM or other reflash tools.
I tried reflashing some ROM images, but they all fail with message: "Signature verification failed"
Is there someway i can regain access to the phone?

Cynus T2 ROM
I upgraded my A110 to Cynus T2 Yesterday from V2 ROM, and backup of userdata was taken immediately. Later, Factory Reset was done, and the problems started coming.
1) Default language changed to German, and the same was later changed to English by guessing the language menu.
2) The second major bottle neck was that there was no SIM connectivity to 2G network, either in SIM1 or SIM2. I tried everything possible, but failed.
3) My WIN7 laptop is now unable to detect my A110 in Switched OFF state with USB Debugging ON. As, a result, I am not able to flash back V2 ROM.
As a last resort, the previously saved user data was restored, and my A110 started working like a charm. Both the SIMs functional, and other features as per expectation. However, a factory reset will spoil every thing. Even now, my Laptop does not detect A110.
Kindly suggest how to revert back to V2 ROM.

Here you will find my ROMs built for the HDC Galaxy S4 EX phone.
These ROMs are built for the MTK6589T model with the 1.5GHz CPU and 2GB RAM/32GB ROM.
Based on stock ROM Build Number S4 20130604-224540
Baseband Version MOLY.WR8.W1248.MD.WG.MP.V7.P1, 2013/04/10 00:41
Kernel Version 3.4.5
I don't like to customise things too much (since everyone has their own preferences) so I have just done most of the basics.
Here is a list of what I have done to this ROM:
v1 ROM:
Based on stock ROM Build Number S4 20130604-224540

Updated Google Play Store to 3.10.10
Updated Google Maps to 7.2.0
Updated Gmail to 4.6 (836823)
Go Launcher and Go Locker
I have installed these two apps since they are my favourite ones and are very customisable and skinnable.
Only problem is their default install now has a lot of advertising so best thing is to delete all the home screens and start new.
They are installed on the data folder so feel free to replace them with your own preferred launcher/locker.
Just remember not to move the launcher or locker themes to your SD card as they may not work properly after reboot. (especially locker themes)
With GO Locker installed the home button will skip the lock screen and go straight to Home.
To fix this open GO Locker, go into the Settings, choose Home Key Settings, enable Home Locked and follow the instructions.
The Home button will then correctly go to the lock screen from a power off state.
You should also select option Turn off system lock to avoid two lock screens appearing.

My phone has arrived! It has very nice screen, but the hyped camera is worst than my old Nexus 5 (8MP). Very noisy, and not so detailed. Maybe the next upgrade will solve it.
The problem: is there any idea, how can I access my phone? I have an unknown device in my Device manager, but I cant find driver. Tried MTP and USB device too. Interesting: PTP (Photo transfer) if working!
Thank you!
Edit: Windows 10 driver is not working properly. Have to unisntall it and reinstall MTK USB driver. MTP is working now.

No changelog. My 5.0GHz WiFi works perfectly though.
@joco1114 : have you noticed some battery improvements with the latest OTA update? Here I see huge improvements.
Nope, but the bluetooth connection is better now. And the troubles with WiFi still exist. The SSIDs are vanishing, connection stable, but no internet transmission. I've tried several places with same result. Used Veloxity for better channel selection, but sometimes I got 65/135 Mbps, other 0.1/0.5 only. Or 0/0... The problem mainly appears on 5 GHz network.

Just like TWRP, get the "scatter" file from the Stock ROM package, copy it in a folder (new one, it must be empty) where you put the "recovery.img" file together with the "scatter" file, then open SP Flash Tool, select scatter, press download. Done!
Thank you! I'm very new in this topic, I had a Nexus 5, I used adb/fastboot to flash recovery. MTK (and SP Flash Tool) is new for me, so sorry about my dumb questions.
I installed the img file (succesfully), started the phone with vol-/power, but I got the original recovery menu. Did I miss something?

Vol + / Power, not Vol - / Power
Yep, Vol+/Power, I miswrote it.

Uhm ok, so you might have missed something. After flashing the device with SP Flash Tool, turn it on with Vol +/Power and go into recovery mode. If the device boots to the OS before you get into TWRP, then it will be overwritten losing the work you have done before.
TWRP Recovery by jemmini.
All thanks to him!

If I start the phone with vol+/power, I got 3 menu in very small font size. The first is Recovery. After that I got an open android icon (recovery) and "No command." title (or somthing similar). If I press vol+/power for a short time, the original recovery appear. Maybe everything is OK, but I press wrong buttons. There is no CTR. Trying TWRP...
Edit: TWRP is working! Thank you!
