What is the fastest browser for the HTC Sensation?
Is the default browser the best?
or maybe Dolphin, or Firefox?
ALSO!
How do I switch between 3g and 4g, I cannot seem to find an option in the settings.
I use the stock browser but I'm not sure If it is the fastest or not. When I'm not in a 3g 4g area I use opera mini.
As for the other question with t Mobile they are technically the same thing / well technology wise. It will say 4g even if you are in a 3g only area. If you are in a edge area it will say 2g and gprs will be G

some browsers dont support flash so check in the market before you download
I used stock browser and also opera. Opera mostly faster but very often on pages with a lot of flash opera doesn't show all flash and load it much slower

Dolphin HD has native flash support, and when you play a video it plays it from the same page. It doesn't take you anywhere else, so that's great because it works better than Skyfire.
Also, I use the default browser and Dolphin HD for when I want to watch por..
I prefer the stock browser, too. For me, its the fastest.

Stock works best for my usage.
Not a Sensation, but a DHD is hardly different Opera Mobile is the fastest for me both on Wi-Fi and HSDPA/3G, by a mile. The GPU taking the load off the processor will have a lot to do with it. Of course, Opera is the fastest when it comes to scrolling too...!

If you are interested in playing games, the Status/ChaCha is a pretty poor choice. It has a pretty low end processor (lesser than snapdragon), small internal storage, and a pretty small screen with low resolution. The games out today don't really stress it out, but over the next few years, there will be more graphically intensive games that will run poorly. In terms of flash, I have not seen anything that did not play, but may be I have not visited the problem sites.

Flash support does exist but it is pretty limited. This means some sites might not be displayed properly and newer games will simply not work.
If you're looking for a gaming device, I suggest a higher end model like the HTC Incredible S or Sensation.

The HTC Status (ChaCha) doesn't come with Adobe Flash Player unfortunately, it comes with HTC Flash Lite, which will play a very limited amount of flash content.
The good news though, I've managed to get Adobe Flash Player 10.2 working on my HTC ChaCha (Status)
I've posted a tutorial here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1475575
Hope this helps
After updating Adobe Flash, things started gettin a lil wonky.
At first I tried it on the standard phone browser and it wasn't working. Putlocker, tv stream sites, etc. It kept telling me that I needed Adobe 9.0 or higher for it to work. I then realized to press the menu key and check "Enable Flash Player". After that, flash started working.
Thing is, I MUCH prefer to use Chrome as a browser on my phone. Sadly though, I get the same error with Chrome. There is no "enable flash player" option that I can find anywhere.
Anyone else having flash problems when using Chrome?
Flash isn't supported just yet.
To my recollection, flash will never be supported in Chrome as Google is trying to distance itself from it in favor of html5/their own video codecs.
How am I supposed to watch porn without flash?? I guess stock or dolphin will have to do.

Bad decision. Flash was still widely used as a video format and its the main reason for me getting an android device over ios or wp7.

Don't worry, porn will be in HTML 5, eventually.
I can not believe anybody that can find XDA does not know Chrome for Android does not support Flash.
Must of been posted on dozens of threads and reviews.
Does anybody actually use Chrome? Is it still buggy.
It is still in Beta.... release was promised awhile ago.
Chrome is quite stable for me and much better than the standard Android browser. No flash support is a plus for me as well. I have no use of the resource hog that is the flash player. Web sites are adapting and moving off the flash quicker than you thought.

Stock browser + Incognito tab FTW!!!!!!!!!11!oen1
So I have read several places using minfreemanager helps with HOX multitask issues somewhat. My question is to what extent? Can you say use web browser, answer a text, then come back to same spot? What about same thing with gaming, streaming music in background and using gps? I really really love this phone, AMAZING display and build design. I am even willing to deal with the 10gb HD, but I stream music, read ebooks and use GPS alot. I just left sprint and want this phone sooo bad. Any input or personal experience on the matter will be appreciated and +1'd thanks!
I haven't used minfree personally, but I do have CleanROM installed. I can listen to Pandora while typing this, switch over to YouTube and watch a video (pandora pauses automatically) exit the video and keep typing in the xda-app and Pandora keeps playing where I left off in the song.
Is this the functionality you're looking for? I've been told the memory management settings in that ROM can improve it even further but I have yet to try those. The web browser isn't a fair test because the stock browser always tells it to reload.
I don't game so I can't comment on that.

Ok, just tried Pandora, GPS navigation, and I can start typing in here and switch to texting someone without it killing any of the apps. All my text stays on the screen in both apps. Not sure how much more you'd want really.

IM glad to hear this. What version of cleanrom are you running?

4.0 SE currently, but 4.1 looks to be even better at this.

Currently I'm running Tweaked 2.2, EXT4, and 5/24 PBJ kernel. I'm generally not overclocking, but I've also tried 1.2Ghz.
Video playback on webpages very choppy and unwatchable (I've tried stock browser, skyfire, firefox, boat, opera, etc, etc) . Video's on YouTube play great.
Is it a lack of memory problem? Is everyone seeing the same thing?
Is it with Flash or a mobile stream? I found that Flash usually requires a higher clock speed to play videos efficiently. Have you tried a higher clock speed? What governor are you usong?

Flash videos play just fine for me. Smooth as butter.
Stock kernel, stock clocks, dolphin browser, cache to SD card (very important).

How do u set up cache on sd?

It an option of dolfin browser. It didn't help my choppy video issue.

The newer (may releases) PBJ kernels never did work quite right for me. At least in my case, the cache to SD option in dolphin was the difference between smooth and not so smooth. But again, stock kernel, stock clocks.
It really depends if it was optimized for mobile or not. Some Flash content (e.g. Starcraft streams from TeamLiquid) will run very choppy with a painful frame rate (on full screen Flash sometimes complains of "not optimized" ) while other videos (you know what I'm talking about ) will run smoothly because they were "optimized".

Exactly. I am in video n we usually make videos for specific platforms, i.e. web, mobile, broadcast, dvd. They all have dif bitrates, sizes, etc.

Ok alot of videos other than porn are smooth for me but whatever, I gave my input.

To give an example. Is there anyone who can play this video smoothly?
http://www.flashvideofactory.com/test/DEMO720_Heima_H264_500K.html
Nope, it even said not optimised for mobile.
- dSliceā¢
While i think you're asking a lot out of your hardware by attempting to play a 720p video at such a high bitrate considering the overhead that flash imposes, it got significantly better once the entire video downloaded. Still a relative slideshow for me though. A single 1.0-1.3 ghz processor isn't gonna cut it for a video of that quality without some kind of gpu hardware acceleration somehow. That video will never be completely smooth on this phone.
And when i said flash videos play fine, i clearly meant those that are optimized for mobile. I have realistic expectations for this hardware.
