Chrome Browser - Flash not working - AT&T, Rogers HTC One X, Telstra One XL

After updating Adobe Flash, things started gettin a lil wonky.
At first I tried it on the standard phone browser and it wasn't working. Putlocker, tv stream sites, etc. It kept telling me that I needed Adobe 9.0 or higher for it to work. I then realized to press the menu key and check "Enable Flash Player". After that, flash started working.
Thing is, I MUCH prefer to use Chrome as a browser on my phone. Sadly though, I get the same error with Chrome. There is no "enable flash player" option that I can find anywhere.
Anyone else having flash problems when using Chrome?

Flash isn't supported just yet.

To my recollection, flash will never be supported in Chrome as Google is trying to distance itself from it in favor of html5/their own video codecs.

How am I supposed to watch porn without flash?? I guess stock or dolphin will have to do.

Bad decision. Flash was still widely used as a video format and its the main reason for me getting an android device over ios or wp7.

Don't worry, porn will be in HTML 5, eventually.

I can not believe anybody that can find XDA does not know Chrome for Android does not support Flash.
Must of been posted on dozens of threads and reviews.
Does anybody actually use Chrome? Is it still buggy.
It is still in Beta.... release was promised awhile ago.

Chrome is quite stable for me and much better than the standard Android browser. No flash support is a plus for me as well. I have no use of the resource hog that is the flash player. Web sites are adapting and moving off the flash quicker than you thought.

Thinking about getting the status quick question

Does the games play well on it.. and does it have Adobe flash support....some sites say yes and others say no Adobe flash support

If you are interested in playing games, the Status/ChaCha is a pretty poor choice. It has a pretty low end processor (lesser than snapdragon), small internal storage, and a pretty small screen with low resolution. The games out today don't really stress it out, but over the next few years, there will be more graphically intensive games that will run poorly. In terms of flash, I have not seen anything that did not play, but may be I have not visited the problem sites.

Flash support does exist but it is pretty limited. This means some sites might not be displayed properly and newer games will simply not work.
If you're looking for a gaming device, I suggest a higher end model like the HTC Incredible S or Sensation.

The HTC Status (ChaCha) doesn't come with Adobe Flash Player unfortunately, it comes with HTC Flash Lite, which will play a very limited amount of flash content.
The good news though, I've managed to get Adobe Flash Player 10.2 working on my HTC ChaCha (Status)
I've posted a tutorial here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1475575
Hope this helps

Is this possible?

Scenario.
Open youtube app/broswer
Search for videos
Start video then it play suddenly pause it (buffering)
Press home button, do other stuffs
Go back to youtube/browser
Play video (buffering is done)
Is this possible?

No it will not happen. Youtube app dont stream when u off screen. I also want solution for this.
I think the ICS multitasking updated will solved IF we will have ICS?
Sent from my GT-I9003 using Tapatalk
I don't know any mod that enables you to do that. But until this gets eventually solved you could use a youtube downloader to download the video in the background.
I dont really want to download the video before watching it, my n8's multitasking is way much better to our SL, thats is the only thing I want to ny previous phone lol

When u play vdo in opera or dolphin browser of android then it can stream vdo in screen off mode. Thats why I am saying that its an youtube app bug only.

Watch TV on Android

There's a pretty nice app on the market called Androidvideo Recharged. It has many tv shows to stream to Android. It doesn't use flash, so it is compatible on more devices than most streaming apps.
Cheers , but I do prefer Icestream.
https://market.android.com/details?id=com.stonyx.icestream
It can't be beaten, and its free.
Thanks for your suggestion though.
Regards
IceStream uses flash though, and just links to other sources on the internet that you can go directly to on your browser.. They can be removed at any time also. Androidvideo has their own servers and can ensure that videos won't randomly be removed.

Don't forget to tell everyone that the app is free but you have to pay to watch anything.
I prefer SPB TV, it has not that many channels, but enough for me, and it's free.

You don't have to pay to watch anything. What are you talking about. They do have a premium membership but they also have free videos. If your not smart enough to figure that out, maybe you.shouldn't be on XDA.

Ice stream isn't even on the market anymore and none of the links on my version of the app work anymore nor have they for weeks. Least with androidvideo, when they have a server problem, they have their videos back up within days, not weeks.

Well not everything supports ics yet, nor has adobe flash been reliable in the past. I had the original gs2 and it had problems with flash vs my inspire 4g which was flawless. It's all about software!!
Yeah, Flash blows. Perhaps on your Note it was defaulting to HTML5 video instead of Flash? Just a thought.
I dont understand why playing a 720p video from youtube is stuttering and cant even keep up. my s2 was able to play 1080p
Weird =\, mines doesn't have any stuttering issues.

I know the BEST one for streming. It can also download but its not so great for big files cause it uses androids default downloader, so u gotta hope the connections isnt interrupted.
Vert few have noticed this app, but it is really great! "Vget"! Its awesome!
Others for downloading are viz
Free video downloader
Wondershare player

Recent versions (v0.3+) have an integrated Download Manager that even supports multiple concurrent connections, pause/resume etc. So it should work well for big files now.

Yes, 2.x cannot be supported as it lacks some required APIs. However Android 4 is almost two years old now and I guess most people have upgraded by now.
