As some may have read, I have ordered Mugens 3600 mah extended battery. Which case do you think would be suitable for it, have you seen one somewhere? Preferably flip case...
Excellent question.
I have a PDAir case for my phone right now,but I wondered the same thing if I went with the largest battery.
Maybe something from this company?

Do you already have the largest battery and fitting case? The shop you suggested does not have a case big enough sadly.

Hmm.
I don't have the large battery and back case yet,but I was thinking about it.
I was thinking about it,but the only solution I can see is the Covertec from my PPC 6600.
It seems to fit the new phone with with some shimming behind it.
I used to use it with the PPC and the extra capacity battery.
That was pretty thick.
The only downside was the plastic strap across the lower front of the screen.
Urgently in need of this kind of case now! Help! I got the covertec ordered, I will report if it suits the new battery.
Maybe the seido could do the job.
Not the case - just the flip for the belt. You put the screen to your body, so the larger back would not be a problem, but you need to check whether the sensation without the case would still "snap" into the belt holster, but maybe you can make it fit with a TPU case which is just around the corners of the sensation and not covering the back - chekc the thread something like that was mentioned.

There is no case there, just cover.
I'll also be interested in a case which is big enough for a diamond with extended battery, please inform us.
As for Trizo, you need to know the difference between a case and a back cover...
See response below from one of accessory vendors. Contact them as well to tell them that there is a market need for such accessory.

I purchased a leather clip on case from ebay which was designed to fit the standard diamond (I think - there is a little space top and bottom so it could just be a standard clip on case) but the diamond with the official extended battery also fits in it quite nicely. A little snug but works well enough for me.

i can confirm that this case fits the original htc 1350m battrey extended i have bought this alluminum case you must rip out the front plastic screen it just pops out and also you need to take all the stiky rubber cushion from the inside of the case it comes of quite easily but be sure to take your time once all the cushioning has been removed totally and the front plastic screen on the case the htc with the extended battrey will fir very comftably in the case i really like the fit and the case it looks scary at first dont worry it will be fine if you find your phone moves about abit the rubber cushion you took of earliier cut them in small tiny pieces and add them wherever you want you will end up with the best case on the marke for the extended battrey also the case is made from high quality alluminium that used on aircrafts thats why its abit pricy any question or help please dont hesitate to ask irm here to help as allways .pj
Thanks.
I found out that GSM diamond with extended battery is 1 mm higher and 0.5 less thick then CDMA diamond in US. So I got CDMA plastic holster and shaving off 1 mm to make it fit Diamond with extended battery right now. For any stretchable material (silicone or leather) it'll probably will just fine without any modifications.
That looks very good but I've got one of those for my previous device (Kaiser), they fit very comfortabley but the case keeps on opening after using it for a few months and you drop the phone on the floor as the clip becomes loose.

I just bought a black Roots Tek Sock for my Diamond with the official HTC extended battery. Although I still have to take the naked Diamond out to use it, it still maintains its beautiful look. In fact it looks nicer with the new battery, from the back.
My old silicone case does fit, but the front left and right sides are not straight anymore, so it looks lame.
sorry this is off topic but i also have the 1340mah battery but i need another battery cover for this battery mine is broken if anyone knows where i can purchase just the back cover please and thanx
cut the back side off?

Thanks, nice find! I bought a CDMA silicone skin and it only needs some shape up, as the holes for the screen, the camera and for the navigation pad aren't fitting exactly. But now everything's fine.
But why is the CDMA skin so expensive compared to the 2$ skins at DealExtreme?!?
Here's one for a few $,

Of course you would need to punch a hole for the front camera.
i would like to buy the backing for the 1340mah htc battery my son broke mine and i need a back lock fr the battery
I found this one, not sure if it is an actual back cover or one that goes over it.
Anyway if you've got a son it probably means that you are over 16, so I don't know about the style!

Anyone found any replacement backplates for the Galaxy S yet?
Looking for one that isn't coated in Teflon like the stock backplate. Don't really want to put it in a silicon case, I would rather cover it in skateboard grip tape, I hate silicon cases that much.
Thanks in advance.
check ebay for the zenus cases
just type in "zenus cases" to pull them up -for some reason using "samsung galaxy" doesnt
Cheers mate, looking for a direct replacement of the battery cover/backplate, but glad to know the Zenus cases are on eBay.
sorry - brain hiccup - thought i'd posted that in another thread
getting old ain't for pansies
ten chars!!!
Yeah I want one that isn't quite so slippy in your hand, ordered a Zenus case, but there will be times when I want to use it out of that, and at the moment it's really easy to drop.
Brando often sells replacement housings, I'm sure it won't be long till they do the same for the sgs.
link
hmm a replacement backplate would be nice
im thinking in the line of higher capacity battery with slighly thicker backplate to accomodate the thicker battery and get rid of the bump on the bottom part at the back
a thicker backplate will also recess the camera lens protecting it from scratches
i also find that the very thin profile of the galaxy s makes it difficult to hold sometimes. a thicker backplate will also make it easier to handle
if only

I want one of these for the SGS...
http://shop.brando.com/iphone-4-bamboo-case_p04689c0304d004.html
Yeah it's cool how many cases you can already get for the latest iphone while for the SGS there still isn't a single decent case available in the US or Europe The Korean stuff that's a ***** to order and takes 2 weeks to get anywhere doesn't count.
I don't like Apple but sometimes they seem to be the only ones that just get really simple **** like 'hey maybe they want a case for that $600 smartphone so let's make some!' Or 'OK, we just designed our best phone ever, let's spend an extra dollar and not put a flimsy piece of plastic on the back.'
It's just so simple.

second that!
3000mAh with a 3mm+ cover will be perfect!
This could be a money spinner for Samsung .You want a white SGS, just buy a white back cover.Or you want a grippier phone, buy a rubberised cover.
Would be kinda cool to be able to change the look/feel without having to resort to silicon covers.
A rubberized back would be a dream. I want one now

This is an excellent idea.
Samsung has already sold more than 1M Galaxy S phones and continues to sell well.
This means that decent accessories should not be that far behind.
I'd buy the hell out of an aluminum replacement backplate for by Vibrant. 'Twould be quite sexy.

I'm looking forward to try some cool ones on.
although with the Gel case in place, you wont even notice it's there until you take the gel case off the phone

Haha, looks terrible
Yeah looks like the normal one covered in tipp-ex!
But its not the original one, because there is a round circle which has not the same height like the cover (same position where the google logo is, you see it in the first ~10secs).
Samsung offered alternative cases: http://www.samsung.com/us/consumer/...l&subsubtype=cases-holsters&tab=accCompatible
But now, the cases just fit for "captivate" only. Dont find any cases for the standard galaxy anymore
I want a case which give more holdness... But i dont want a cover, because i like the thinness atm
Anyone had any luck in finding a case to fit this beast? Preferably one that you don't need to remove to access the phone. Cheers.
This one maybe help:

Hey, thanks, but I meant a case for the phone with the extended battery attached.
Search for mugen batteries. They make outstanding batteries fire the i9000 and I own the 3200mha bat that comes with a case for it . Phone looks stupidly fat but at 2.3-2.5 times the battery life who cares. I also bought a 1600mha battery strom them typo replace the garbage samsung ships with and man battery life is way way better.
Sent from my GT-I9000 using XDA App
At the moment, i have the pdair aluminium case, which is awesome, although will be useless with the new battery in place. Will probably have to saw a hole in the back of that case or another.
I got a cheap sheep skin case from ebay 3 months ago which had a glued on back hard plastic back cover to snap the SGS into it (its a right to left fold out case with magnet to keep front on) What I did was ripped the slim plastic holder out and hot glued the big new battery cover in its place. Sure its a little tight but it does the job as I simply cannot find a case to fit my 3500mah battery into
Saw it on amazon. They said it would only work with their extended battery setup. It also appears the button areas are covered so that would make me think the case is stronger on the lip area near those buttons. I'm so curious to find out if it would fit on a Hyperion extended battery setup. Anyone try this already? I'm aware of the Hyperion tpu case and I don't like it one bit. It's too thin and the case is cut out for the buttons and weak in that area. A month or so ago, that honeycomb case was the only one out there for extended batteries.
UPDATE
It does fit the Hyperion extended life battery and door. It was a tight fit. I had to put the bottom in first then work the lip of the case over the edge of the screen all the way around. I've seen better quality tpu cases but this one does the job. It looks like you could take an exacto knife on the edges where they combined the top and bottom half. There's a little extra material there but no big deal. The volume and power buttons are not cut out so that will make the case lip area stronger in those spots. I didn't test the feel of the buttons with the case on. I just put the door on and case to see if it fits. For eight bucks, I guess there's not a whole lots to complain about. The case is gloss around the edges but matte on the flat back part. This is the most snug tpu case I've owned. It's not hard to put on, it's just snug and suggested you insert the bottom first. If you have a screen protector that is film, and not glass, and not perfectly centered, it might peel up the edges of it. I will post pictures from my other phone in a few minutes in case you're curious.
UPDATE 2:
Just tried getting the case on the phone with the battery installed too. It kinda fit but the lips of the case wouldn't completely catch over the edge of the screen. It would probably stay on but not perfectly. The Yesoo back cover, for their extended battery, must be a hair smaller than the Hyperion.

i read the review on the gs3 yesoo extended case. and according to that...its another flimsy tpu. I would assume the s4 case is the same.
seidio released their new extended case on their site. But you have to buy their set up. Case and back door..which would set you back $55 total.
I wouldnt mind paying that..But i had a seidio extended case for the s3...and the rubber was so flimsy around the edges. And loooking at the s4 case on their site...it seems to be another flimsy set up.
That being said. The seidio is the best protection u can get at this moment for the extended battery at this moment and time. and thats not saying much.
Seidio extended batteries with my past phones, the back battery for was very thin and flimsy and never fit perfectly. There were always gaps and would never snap completely shut.
Today I said to hell with it and ordered one to see if it fits. It should be here in the beginning of next week. The shipping damned near cost as much as the case. I hope it's good and fits. I'll report back when I finally get it.
I just received my Seidio extended battery today and I got the extended Active case and holster and it's great. It's probably the slickest setup you're going to get as far as extendeds go; a little pricey but worth it.

Hey i have a dump question, but i couldn't find the answere on the internet.
Is it possible to have the original 3500mah battery (Samsung product) with the extendet backcover ( without wirless charger), fit in the UAG cover?
I only find a person (ricerocket00)which cut the original cover+ wirless charger and than the uag fit. But than the waterproofnes doen't work anymore
So does anybody tried it out: 3500mah + UAG cover?
Fit: good // doesn't fit
I hope i get an answere.
Best regards, BikerBoy.-030
It will almost fit if you stretch the sides up, but there was always one spot that wouldn't quite stretch enough to fit completely on the sides. I think with that much stress on the case it would be prone to breaking more easily. Wouldn't recommend it.
