Hi everyone!
I'm wondering if i can add chinese support on my smartphone without commercial apps.
I have seen on a forum that we can add some languages on T9 by modifying the register. But this method need the associated T9 dlls that are on other smartphone roms... I have already ask if someone has the chinese one but nothing
Can anyone help me?
thx
I'd like to tell you that a Chinese ROM would be the best solution.
Hi,
Does anyone know in wich file does the touch input saves the new words?
I'm planing in adding a listo of portuguese words to have a portuguese dictionary.
Thanx
an idea
i don't know where they are saved as i normally turn it off asap, but i would recommend to save a bizarre assortment of letters as a 'word' that way you can just do a search for that word later and find the place to save your dictionary
Run this to add words from your device
\windows\eT9mywords.exe
Back this up before a new rom
\Windows\eT9Cdb.Cdb
\Windows\eT9Rudb.Rdb
\Windows\eT9AsDb.Adb

Hi all,
I made an application that I think you will find very useful.
User Dictionary Manager (UDM) allows you to edit/export/import/delete/clean the user dictionary words on your Android phone.
I think this will come in very handy for everybody who has to type alot of text in mails, SMSes, etc.
With the help of the User Dictionary Manager application you can export your defined words and import them on another phone - for example, sharing with friends and colleagues.
The homepage of the User Dictionary Manager (UDM) is http://udm.adrianvintu.com

For ROOTED phones: you need to make sure that you have the user_dictionary installed and available.

This is great, I've been looking a long time for something like this (Romanian Dic.). Too bad it doesn't work on HTC Sense phones. Maybe in the future. I will keep an eye on this one.
Thanks
hey,
this looks great!

Thanks Adrian. This app will be useful in maintaining my personal list of Gujarati words.
okay, the problem is that it's automatically saved into the "English" user dictionary.
but i want to import into the "German" user dict.
any ideas?

The app should import the words into the current regional setting. So if you change your phone settings to German language and then import, it should work. Please let me know if that fixes your problem.

i'm using liquidsmooth 1.35 (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1555667), and the ROM doesn't provide other languages than english.
but i'm using german input language, and i can store words manually in there while typing in a textbox and add unknown word to the dictionary.
my idea was to use your app to import a german dictionary into my german user dictionary, since the german system dictionary seems to be empty on this ROM.
article
Hey buddy, I'm doing an article on your new UDM here. I emailed you, but never heard back. If you would like to answer a few questions, either pm me or email me at [email protected]. Thanks. Good work!
Swype compatibility?
Since Swype has its own user dictionary,i think it's not possible for now to import or export words from Swype dictionary, can you please make such thing possible in your next version, or some how contact Swype to make your app as an add on to their keyboard, thnx for the app
Swift keyboard
Does this work with swift keyboard? I don't know, pardon my ignorance, if it has it's own dictionary separate from the system keyboard.
Is this a dream? ThankS!
No updates since March 2010? Darn hope it doesn't get incompatibility errors in later android versions
Brilliant Idea!!!
thanks mate.
Will be back to report on how it works with stock JellyBean on my i9505
not working on samsung n7100 ... 4.3 ... if anyone have any idea on how to edit words in user dictionary n how to import text ... it will be great ... thanks

I am currently looking for a custom word list (for user dictionary) that I can import into my droid... After installing custom roms im constantly adding back common slang and abbreviations so my swype will recognize it... Does anyone have a custom word list that they would be able to send me so I can import into my droid?
Please let me know if you need more info...
