Hi,
I've bought the Iphone clone H2000, that is not so bad... not fast, gps very slow to lock sats, poor battery. But for what I need it is good...
But on the first few days some dead lines appeared on the screen and now I have about 11 dead lines on it
Is there any solution for this? I've contacted the seller but he don't care and I'm not going to do a big deal over this issue but I would like to have it fixed.
If anyone knows about a solution please tell.
Thanks!
As far as I can tell it seems to be a faulty display. The only solution would be to replace the display...

Hi, what exactly can cause this on my phone just looked at it one day and it appeared to have some sort of dead pixels on it, is it my fault or HTC's? I dropped it the day before but booted it with my friends sim and didn't notice it so I think it wasn't there as I would have easily seen it. could it have been a delayed effect of the fall or a slightly damp sim card or a manufacturing fault? Thanks in advance for any info
seems like the pixels died or something. Too much pressure?
I don't think so as I am normally very careful as to how I touch the screen I never press it really hard
plus I dont think its a stuck pixel I think its a dead pixel

it might be when it's in your pocket or something.
do you think the manufacturer will replace it if it is a dead pixel as it could be caused by a transistor failure?
If you're within warranty, I think they will. It's not like the screen's been cracked or anything.
Hello everyone,
When I was browsing my fb today I stumbled upon this photo of a Galaxy S II plus that has a kind of broken screen. As you can see what it should display is shifted to the left. This guy isn't really a techy and has no idea of custom roms etc. Now I'm wondering is this something in the software? Because I can buy it very cheap from him, and if I only have to install CM I would have a very cheap good working phone
If it's something in the hardware is it solved by replacing the screen? (since this also includes some other things)
I did a bit of research but didn't find someone with the same problem, if you have seen a thread about this before please give me a link
thanks in advance!
Francis
never mind he dropped his phone, so it's a hardware thing
Do you have this too when you turn on your phone, or when you are in Download Mode?
Hey guys,
while working ( i work as a waiter) i had my Nexus 5 inside my apron...accidentally i spilled jar of water towards me...and it got inside my apron pocket were the phone was....after sometime i realized i had a phone there....so i took it out...turned it off....at home...i did everything.
good news is...it works fine...touchscreen..earpiece everything the only problem is the brightness light...its very dim...it wont go up or down. sometimes it turns off...i have to bend my phone little back n forth to bring that brightness back...
anyone have any idea whats wrong....does replacing the screen digitizer helps if i buy it on ebay or amazon.?
any information or idea may help?
btw...it happened long time ago....over 6 months now.. since then i am using my N4.
I have the solution!
I have had this problem like 3 months now and i finally fixed it.
Basically what i did was that i bought a broken nexus 5 (only the screen glass was broken) and tried to swap every part one by one. The one that was not working was the main dock!
It is a cheap fix, like 10£ on Ebay.
I am writing this post because anyone else haven't.
I hope that someone sees this.
I now copy this message to all other threads so people can fix their nexus 5's
PS:as you can probably tell English isn't my first language.
Hey guys, I want to buy a "defective" OPO for 100$. The sellers told me that a part of the touchscreen (about 13%) is not working. He says it works every once in a while but it is really rare. I was wondering if I would be able to fix this trough a Kernel or a ROM update (he runs CM12S) or if I need to change the screen completely. The guy says he had the phone for 2 months and he hasn't try to fix it because he has an iPhone (LOL)
Thanks for your answers!

Don't think how low u have to pay for opo but must think is it usable
Nearly 20% users complaining about touch issues like
1)ghost touch
2)unresponsive screen etc
http://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-one/help/ghost-touches-invisible-finger-t2832822
OPO tried to solve this by firmware updates but they still not fully able to manage it
New firmware with improved kernel solved lot more touch issues but draining battery a lot for most people's
So its u r decision buy or not to buy but three possibilities are
1) buy if u don't care about u r money if problem not got solved
2)buy if screen problem is not due to any hardware issues because if yes u have to replace whole screen which cost 200$
3)if its software problem then u should know most of android rooting/ flashing /custom roms/custom kernels to recover problems
If its software problem then these are some solution

I bought an oneplus one with a broken screen on ebay.
Bought an replacement display with frame and some cheap tools for 50€ on aliexpress.
Replaced the broken screen + frame withing one hour. It was my first attempt to open up a smartphone ever.
Only problematic part was the earpiece, which I almost destroyed.
And also the lower antenna (which is fixed with double sided adhesive tape) bent a little bit.
But besides that it was very easy to dismantle the Oneplus One and to replace the screen/frame combo.
Compared to my other One the new screen looks absolutely identical. Only the earpiece grille is slightly different.
So. My conclusion. If your are able to unscrew a smartphone and are not completely lacking fine motoric skills, you can have a cheap Oneplus One. Watch the tutorials vids on youtube and the photos on ifixit.
cheers!
Edit:
Ah and yes. With my One the screen was shattered and not working.
So I have to agree to my previous speaker. It could also be some other part of the hardware not working. It's always a risk. But I assume, that by replacing the whole screen/frame, probably the digitizer problems should be solved.

I also wanted to mention that I also experienced ghost touch issues with my first Oneplus One.
Thats why I orderd a replacement screen in the first place. Then, in the meantime, until the display arrived, Oneplus released a firmware update and my ghost touch issues vanished.
But. I never had parts completely not responding on my screen. It was "only" a ghost touch issue.
i have it
Hey guys, i finally bought thé phone and the u, thé j and the n keys works 1 out of 10 times. Si it is not completely broke. How tout dix that?
Download YAMTT from play store. Test if you can paint everywhere on the screen.
yamtt
no I can't there is a small bar on the right that is not working
Probably a broken digitizer. I.'ve never read of anybody fixing this with a Software update. On the other hand, I'm not an expert...
Hi there, could anyone tell me based on experience, a really good LCD Screen + digitizer for me to buy? I can buy from ebay.in or ebay.com but there are hardly any ratings at all. If anyone has bought one, could you please tell me about the quality, link and if so, any defects? I would much appreciate it, thanks. Basically my screen is cracked an unresponsive, so i'm guessing I need LCD+Digi.

Hi, less than a month ago my screen also cracked, so I had to buy a new screen. Before buying it, I unmounted the phone and I had one more problem: the battery was COMPLETELY glued to the screen and I wasn't able to take it out. So finally I bought the screen and a new battery from eBay.
I bought this screen: ebay.com/itm/181445812771. I'm completely sure that the screen is the original one. I compared it with my cracked screen and they were exactly the same, except for the date printed in each screen, and it has a good quality, just as the screen that I had in my phone. BUT it was clearly used: the earpiece was a bit dirty and it had some glue on the back, probably from another battery. But I'm happy with the screen, actually, I prefer a used but original screen to a new but poor quality screen. Maybe they take this screen from a phone with a damaged motherboard or something like that. The screen doesn't have any scratch.
I wasn't so lucky with the battery. It was clearly a fake, so I returned it and bought another one from spareslg.com. I don't know if this battery is original or not, because there are some differencies between this one and the battery that I used before. Maybe this one has a bit better battery life, but I'm not sure, because now I'm using another ROM (based on 6.0 )
FYI, the non-original screens usually have problems with the proximity sensor and the GPS, so be careful with that. Good luck with the screen change! :good:
