I am a researcher and am urgently trying to find 1-2 people in the Greater London area who own the Samsung Tocco Quick Tap handset with Orange, and who
have registered for and used the contactless payment functionality.
The interview will take place at a location convenient to you, and we are offering a cash incentive for our participators. It will last approximately one hour.
If you are interested, and think you meet the criteria above, please get in touch asap!
Thanks,
Sarah, Essential Research

Thanks for all your amazing help, I'm just desperate to find out the first snippet of how to find threads I have posted and hopefully answers to questions or a question I may have asked?I don't even know where to begin, very confused, please point me in the right direction at least and please send me a link in an email or an email at least because every time I visit the forum which hasn't been that much since fairly new, but have spent considerable hours hunched over the screen trying to figure out things, is there no quicker way, I have a short term memory and like yourselves very littel time to do extensive searches all the time to find something, but I do appreciate the rules aboout not a;ways postimg new threads when the answer one might be looking for may have already been answered. It's just that I am very familiar with all the jargon and tech words so I'm hopeless at performing searches????Help???
Hi michael,
First off, welcome to XDA.
There's a lot of information and it can be quite overwhelming to try and absorb all of it at once.
To get you started:
Identify your device and Cellular service provider in your profile
Look for your device in the forum home page and subscribe to forums or specific threads for your device
Review the "Stickies" that appear at the top of the forums specific to your device
Take time to look at the XDA-Wiki (http://wiki.xda-developers.com); most folks forget about the WIKI
Searching; you can use the Google or vBulletin search systems. IMHO, both the systems need some "tuning up" ... so you'll need to exercise a bit of patience as they can be frustrating to use sometimes.
HTH,
thanks for the help
Welcome to HTC's XDA forum! Read, Research, and have fun!
I'm currently taking a class that involves interviewing an IT Professional for my final project. My original interviewee fell through and now I am approaching the deadline. I'm curious if there is anyone here on XDA who can help me out
What I am asking.
If there is an IT Professional preferably in a security or forensics position since that I am the degree I am working towards, but any IT Professional can help if they are willing.
I have a short set of questions for the interview mostly pertaining to time management and work/lifestyle balances.
I can either post the questions to you through direct message here on XDA or I can email you the Word document.
The class does ask for the name and company that the interviewee works for but if you are uncomfortable providing that info I can fabricate it.
I definitely appreciate any help I can get from fellow forum users
Head of security for the State Dept.?
Would that do?
Dear xda-fellows,
since I ordered my Moto360 back in October, I am fascinated by the device. Today, it has become my trustworthy companion. Soon, however, I started asking myself: isn't there a better method of entering text than speech recognition?
That's why I am now writing my Bachelor's thesis on the topic of efficient text-entry on smartwatches. For that, I kindly ask for your help. I have created a short survey regarding the usage of smartphones and smartwatches and I would like to ask you for ten minutes of your time to take it. Since it is still difficult to find smartwatch owners, your answers will be especially helpful!
Link to the survey: http://goo.gl/forms/gSFkNNum3Q
Please feel free to share and distribute the link!
Thank you very much and kind regards,
mvol
PS: I know that posts regarding surveys are often unwelcome. However I think text entry is an interesting issue for many Android Wear users and as stated above, it is still difficult to find smartwatch owners. So I hope I can find help here despite the annoying nature of surveys
There is no dedicated forum for this particular device here on XDA. I have just been referring to the general Galaxy S6 section for various things. I am having a difficult time really finding anything on the web. I have found a few things, but no real area of big support or community. I love US Cellular. They are a great provider for my rural area with great phone selection (got this s6 with an otter box COMPLETELY FREE with their points system... no contract extension needed), but with that said, I understand that they are a small regional provider. So far I have been able to flash ROMs on my phone with the hopes of having them work, and they do actually... except I can't get any mobile data, voice, or SMS.

Hello and thank you for using XDA Assist.
We cannot provide technical support nor can other members reply to your posts here on XDA Assist but fortunately there is an XDA area dedicated to the Samsung Galaxy S6 family at http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s6 which you have apparently already discovered. I suggest you browse that forum and maybe post your questions in the friendly Q&A forum there at http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s6/help where the experts familiar with your device will be best able to guide you. Since your USCC variant is still relatively uncommon, please be patient and give the members plenty of time to respond.
Good luck!
Hello dear xda members
I myself have been closely tracking this forum for long time even though I don't have a android powered smartphone. I have tried to buy an affordable smartphone which is developer friendly. But here where I live such ones are not present. Tried to get them online but the exchange rate made the purchase next to impossible
I know that most of you guys have 2 sometimes 3 or more phones and I would be really thankful if any of you could donate a phone like N5 if you don't mind
I'm really interested in development but the lack of the devise holds me back. I would really appreciate your help
I tried to win a phone in giveaways but seems I'm not lucky enough(
