[Completed] Where can I find information for a USCC Galaxy S6 (SM-G90R04)? - XDA Assist

There is no dedicated forum for this particular device here on XDA. I have just been referring to the general Galaxy S6 section for various things. I am having a difficult time really finding anything on the web. I have found a few things, but no real area of big support or community. I love US Cellular. They are a great provider for my rural area with great phone selection (got this s6 with an otter box COMPLETELY FREE with their points system... no contract extension needed), but with that said, I understand that they are a small regional provider. So far I have been able to flash ROMs on my phone with the hopes of having them work, and they do actually... except I can't get any mobile data, voice, or SMS.

Hello and thank you for using XDA Assist.
We cannot provide technical support nor can other members reply to your posts here on XDA Assist but fortunately there is an XDA area dedicated to the Samsung Galaxy S6 family at http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s6 which you have apparently already discovered. I suggest you browse that forum and maybe post your questions in the friendly Q&A forum there at http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s6/help where the experts familiar with your device will be best able to guide you. Since your USCC variant is still relatively uncommon, please be patient and give the members plenty of time to respond.
Good luck!

[Q] How do I get a forum started?

I've seen support for the big carriers and I'm trying to get a forum started for US Cellular's Samsung Galaxy S 3 rather than posting about it in the wrong forum.
SO who would go about taking care for that or how would I?

For a new device forum, you would usually go to the link in my signature. But, since that device's forum already exists, you may not have much luck getting a carrier specific one for it started. You could try PM'ing an admin, but the chance is still very low unless there is a great demand for it.

Hello and thank you for using XDA Assist.
We cannot provide technical support nor can other members reply to your posts here on XDA Assist. Since T-mobile devices are typically fully unlocked, whatever lock someone put on your phone is not factory or carrier related and you might be able to simply reload the proper factory firmware. Fortunately there is an XDA area dedicated to the T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S4 at http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s4-tmobile which would be a good starting place. I suggest you post your question with all relevant details in the friendly Q&A forum there at http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s4-tmobile/help where the experts familiar with your device will be best able to guide you. I also see a number of references to that issue from a site search at http://forum.xda-developers.com/sitesearch.php?q=rent center lock which might be worth reviewing.
Good luck!
EDIT: Member has now posted in the suggested area. Thread closed.

[Completed] Unlocked Metropcs Optimus F3

I've tried posting in 2 other threads without any success so can you point me in the right direction to get a solution...?
I have an unlocked Metropcs LGMS659 that I'm using with AT&T. Since they did an update (of some sort) I no longer have 4g, only 2g. We've tried everything from a new sim to master resetting to even having my phone removed completely from their system then added back. I usually have 4g for about 30 mins a day at random times. ANY suggestions?

Hello and thank you for using XDA Assist.
I'm sorry to hear about your trouble. We cannot provide technical support nor can other members reply to your posts here on XDA Assist there is no forum specifically for the T-Mobile/MetroPCS LG MS659 at this time but I suggest that you ask your question with all relevant details in the friendly general Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting forum at http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/help. That's a good place to start where members familiar with your device might be able to advise you. Since your device is relatively uncommon, please be patient and give the experts plenty of time to respond. If you at least get 4G/LTE some of the time, that suggests that your phone and SIM can handle it and maybe all you need is the correct network mode ("LTE/WCDMA/GSM"?) option in your settings but I'm merely guessing.I also see a number of references to your model from a site search at http://forum.xda-developers.com/sitesearch.php?q=LG MS659 which might be worth reviewing.
Good luck!

Hello, and welcome to XDA!
You would have the best of luck asking for help in this thread:
> Android Development and Hacking > Android General > 5300mAh 5.5" Bluboo X550 - Review, ROMs, Info, FAQs
Please note, you will have to register for an XDA account to post there. Also, when posting, please be specific as to what the problem is, any modifications that may have got you to where you are (rooting, et cetera), as well as things tried to alleviate the situation.
Hope this helps, and good luck!

Maybe. It could be a hardware issue, but me not knowing what the problem is (it was even mentioned that you "don't know why" the phone isn't working), software is more likely.
Which is why it is beneficial to post your problem in the thread mentioned above. I don't know anything about your device, except what I skimmed through on GSMArena. The people in that thread own that device, and have the best-hand user experience as a result. I don't have electrical schematics of every Android known to man filed away (I'm lucky if I have even one). Other than approaching the company, your fellow users are the best chance at getting that information, if it is indeed a hardware issue (and replacement parts are available).
Please be detailed there. Simply saying the phone "doesn't work" isn't constructive, and helps no one, as it suggests a plethora of possibilities.
Not to be cruel, I wasn't expecting a three word reply which effectively condenses the original post. Asking-for/needing/demanding effortless information/solutions, while someone else does the heavy lifting, is not what XDA Assist is all about. It's about pointing people in the right (I like to say best) direction with the information given. I feel I have done that. With an account now, time to get your feet wet.
Hope this helps.

[Completed] Best apps to have downloaded when disconnection of my WiFi is imminent?

I feel so green here. I have a Samsung Galaxy S5, 6.0.1.. I love phones and apps and the net. I like to absorb as much as I can while tending to a big family and life lol.
My WiFi is going to be off for about a week. I am curious what apps or downloads would help me navigate through this upcoming lonely-without-my-WiFi or even allow me to have the ability to still be online without (no Data either)?
Also, I have not been able to root this phone yet. I'm frustrated about that in general but I assume it limits some of your suggestions.
Thanks for your help
