Steps to install cwm recovery
FIRST DOWNLOAD THE CLOCKWORKMOD FROM http://www.multiupload.com/SGBF50UBMA
OPEN ODIN MULTI DOWNLOADER 4.38
SELECT OPS FILE(BENI_v1.0.ops)
SELECT ONE PACKAGE OPTION
SELECT THE DOWNLOADED FILE(GT-S5670-CWM.tar) IN ONE PACKAGE SECTION
RESTART UR DEVICE IN DOWNLOAD MODE
CONNECT USB
CLICK START BUTTON
Than download this CM file :-
http://www.multiupload.com/OBGGR43NK8
1.it is a zip file extract it
2.copy d extract folder in sd card root (not in any folder)
3.than go in recovery mod
4.switch off ur phone n start with middle + power button
5.than select backup n restore
6.than select restore
7.after that wipe cache n factor reset

Hey bro...is this still buggy or stable?...and why are u guyz..not willing to port CM7 (2.3.7)...u guyz are devs..just port mini's CM7 (2.3.7) to fit like u did with 2.3.4 version... hoping for 2.3.7 soon!!

It will work on kq2 only yet....

now u alll have prob than just do factor reset n try if not than flash kq2
format in n try n again format (factor reset)

does this work on XWKQ2? I'm using it and Deodexed already. I have some questions, if I flash the clock work mod on my fit with. XWKQ2, will it delete everything in my phone? and what does clockworkmod does really?
and one more thing, does that CyanogenMod 7 that is posted from the first post is a stable release? there's no bugs anymore?

This is a basic deodexed update.zip for samsung galaxy fit " DDKT1 "
What does it do ?
1. Deodexes your ROM (removes .odex files and saves internal space)*
2. Roots your phone and adds superuser.(latest)
3. If you have flashed a theme and want to revert back to default stock theme then flash it.
4. Deletes all the installed apps and retores the factory apps.
5. Will update all d Apps
6. New version of market added (much Faster)
How to Installation :-
1. Download the file for DDKT1 from HERE
2. Place it in the root of the sdcard.(not in any folder)
3. Flash it via recovery.
4. Do a factor reset (if u want)
NOTE :-
1. Make sure you are using it on DDKT1

hey raj...how to stop that service msg reply tone means the network reply after we text someone comes...that following last msg cost you this much n so..if silent it vibrates yaar and its annoying how to stop that?????this was in xwkq2 also but not in ddkq5 and now they got this in ddkt1...any one knows how to stop it did system sound to zero and never vibrate also??????

hey dude u can try to install. a good kernel with cwm (clock work mod)....a very important tool to customize your phone....then download a custom rom of your choice from the development section (see that ur firmware matches that of the rom) ....follow the instructions there and you will have a full customized phone as most c-roms are pre rooted and deodexed .....when you learn more and get used to the phone you can try miui or cm (but that is for later ...) .......since ur on kpq u can try Poseidon or vurrut roms (Ive used them and they're nice)....

How to Install it :-
Backup ur apps, Contacts, Messages.
a) U'll need CWM (i use [CF-Root] by Ganesh u get here for XXKPQ)
1) Flash this *.tar file as a PDA in Odin
b) Downlad Poseiden ROM from here or here
1) Copy this zip file to ur external SD Card
2) Goto Recovery Mode Install the zip file from ur external SD Card
3) after installation setup will reboot to recovery mode, wipe Cache & DALVIK CACHE
Done

I recently got my E dual, its great but as most of u here , we don't accept less than perfection. so if we wanna mod our dev , we need the firmware to be odexed so here we are:
first of all disclaimer:

what is it:
its the stock Xperia E Dual JB 11.3.A.2.1 with the following :
- completely deodexed
- rooted
- busybox
- maltilang including Arabic and Persian.
- I didn't remove any app from the rom (bloatware) to let u do it ur self
why deodexed :
its easy to customize the ROM the way you want without odexes
how to install:
please make sure that u are on the 11.3.A.2.1 firmware,
1- download the zip and put it in the internal or external sd.
2- unlock ur boot loader and flash jjm34 kernel with CWM "the only way to have cwm for now"
3- reboot to recovery
4- format system & wipe every thing(factory reset)
5- flash the zip

download and copy the SystemUI.apk to sdcard
with app like ES file explorer copy it to system/app override the old one

nice successfully worked

when i try to deodex my XE SS ROM, there's only 2 .jar files lefted (won't deodexed by kitchen)
framework.jar and framework-ext.jar... it's gave errors
did you meet these errors while deodexing?

if u mean the Rom: I don't think its possible due to hardware differences
if the SystemUI u can upload yours and I may mod it

I tried ES file explorer, no message, no change
I tried flash with CWM the .zip : android say me at startup SystemUI.apk shutdown because error, and no change.
Maybe I have to wipe data ( I already wiped cache in CWM ).
Im a noob, come on Sony
EDIT : I just test wipe data/factory reset and wipe dalvik : same message : UIsysteme.apk has unfortunately stopped

I have tried to search for a proper guide which will tell me how to move from 4.1.x to 4.2.x.
There are many roms but all say they are without boot.img, some say xxxx kernel is needed etc.
So someone please put up steps that say how and what to do.
I am not asking you to put up links or upload the required files, zips, .img files here but aleast write it down so as to have a proper step by step instructions.
I am sure we all can search for files on google/xda provided we know what we need to look for.
Please take this request of a less mortal person and shed some light on me.

[Guide] How to Port Rom
This is Basic
HOW TO PORT ROM
1. Download base rom (designed for your phone) and port rom (the rom you want to port)
2. Open them with 7-zip (no need to extract)
3. Delete app, framework, fonts and media folders in BASE rom and move the app, framework, fonts and media from PORT rom to BASE rom
4. Your rom is now ready. Boot into recovery, Wipe everything and flash the BASE rom. It should boot. If it does not boot then do the next step
5. Go into system/lib folder in both the roms and replace the libandroidruntime.so file
6. Remember the final rom is BASE rom which you should flash on the phone.

Download the ROM (without boot.img)u wish and flash it via recovery ....and search for latest andiroxu kernel .....then u r in 4.2.X os

I THINK THAT YOU SIMPLY ASKED FOR THE STEPS TO INSTALL A 4.2 ROM IF YOUR DEVICE IS RUNNING ON 4.1.x...
ITS REALLY EASY BRO!
FIRST ROOT UR PHONE AND INSTALL CWM RECOVERY(skip if already done.)
THEN DOWNLOAD THE ROM ZIP AND ANDIROXU KERNEL FOR 4.2 AND PLACE IT IN UR PHONE SD CARD.
GO TO CWM RECOVERY.
WIPE/FORMAT DATA...WIPE CACHE AND THEN GO TO ADVANCED MENU AND WIPE DELVIC CACHE.
THEN SELECT INSTALL ZIP FROM SD CARD>CHOSE ZIP FROM SD CARD AND SELECT THE ZIP AND INSTALL (OR FLASH IT)
THATS ALL.
THAN LOOK FOR THE ANDIROXU KERNEL YOU HAVE DOWNLOADED AND SELECT AND INSTALL IT.
BUT THIS TIME NO WIPES NEEDED.
THATS ALL. REBOOT AND YOU WILL HAVE 4.2 ON YOUR PHONE.

if you want to upgrade to 4,2,2 then just simply install Dark Nexus by Dark4Droid. It has nothing to do with boot.img and kernel. Just download it and follow the instructions and flash it. Enjoy

Yes i have already used many roms but all 4.1 based and wanted to go to 4.2 and was seeing all that stuff abt boot.img not included so was confused now that read your msg i know all i need is the rom and the kernel ....

Like other friend said u can use Dark magic or dark nexus rom which comes with kernel included in ROM but thn it would be old kernel
for performance improvement Join tht fb group and There u can download the latest kernel "Xtreme-Boost-v2-4.2.x-3.4.69-rc1.zip"
and simply flash through recovery as simple as tht

Hi I installed Dark nexus and it works gr8 expect for 2 issues that i have posted on Dark nexus forum also.
1. Dialer is misplaced keys --- 3 6 9 and # keys not showing completely.
2. lock-screen is also not aligned properly. - The lock as it can be seen has moved out of the screen also the network operator names are not center aligned, lastly the clock in 4.2.2 should be in the center here as we can see it is slightly towards the right.
Any comments ?

Hi I installed Dark nexus and it works gr8 expect for 2 issues that i have posted on Dark nexus forum also.
1. Dialer is misplaced keys --- 3 6 9 and # keys not showing completely.
2. lock-screen is also not aligned properly. - The lock as it can be seen has moved out of the screen also the network operator names are not center aligned, lastly the clock in 4.2.2 should be in the center here as we can see it is slightly towards the right.
Any comments ?

thts lcd density issue bro
Download lcd density changer app from google play and set default dpi to 210 and reboot
its like changing resolution in windows
PS: remember to take a cwm backup before u do something with system files
this case its not necessary but u never know what will go wrong so it is recommended

Bro.. Its lcd problem. Download root browser from play store.. And then go to system.. There will be a file written build.prop tap on it and open it as text editor. Search for this command
ro.sf.lcd_density= value would be something like 240
If u cant find this command just put it by urself ans set the value to 210. And save it then reboot ur device and done

Thanks for taking time out to reply, i tried that but after applying the value the phone did not move ahead from the nexus logo screen, so had to end up restoring from backup.
later i installed go locker and Dialer apps and they seem to be working fine.
