Need at&t - HTC Sensation

I have the bell sensation on my at&t account, and i was wondering if there was a ROM or a way to set it up to be as if it was an at&t phone? So i could charge apps to my account and things like that. Also, what's the most stable for everyday use,non sense ROM?
Sorry for being a knewb here,I switch devices so much and I get confused lol

Search XDA for AT&T APN settings. That will get you the Data settings to access the AT&T network.

Ok then you can probably use dsixda's HTC Android kitchen and extract the AT&T apps from the HTC Inspire Rom and add them to an unbranded Sensation Rom to create a custom Rom that will fit the bill.
You might also try installing a rooted, unbranded Rom first that won't have any carrier bloat.

There's the answer I was looking for,LOL.
The market place has distracted me from the dev community at xda. Therefore my skills are a little rusty. Thanks bro!

[Q] Backing up stock Rom (TMOBILE UK)

Right, got my replacement Sensation with Tmobile UK branded rom on.
Having found that there are no stock Tmobile roms about, I would rather back everything up before I root this time.
How do I do this?
Once done, I'm happy to share with everyone else so no one else has to go through the same prob in the future.
If there is a kind dev out there who can help me package everything up properly all the better!!
Thanks

Thanks for the interest but I want to create a virgin backup that can be used to get back to full stock, not to S-Off

Yes, that is why I want to create one as that thread has no Tmobile UK Roms
So is this not possible? I'm sure there used to be ways of dumping off images of yr phone. May have been back on the Kaiser though.
Is there a reason why we have have so manly stock ruus but no Tmobile UK?

Try replacing the apn file from miui rom to your rom of choice.

Thanks! Trigger does it. But I found if I added one of the uv/oc kernels to improve battery I had the apn loss problem begin. Trigger alone was free of it, so that problem seems kernel not rom related.

I still want to keep the sense feature and some of tmobiles app that I always use, I just want to remove some stock apps that's taking the memory so much and I don't use them plus they said overclocking will decrease lagging of the phone

Can I use that on factory stock phone or I have to root ? Sorry for a noob question.
Sent from my HTC Sensation 4G using xda premium
You need to root your phone to either freeze the apps via Titanium or by ViperBloat
Rooting your phone is really a good thing to do as it open your phone to changing, modifying and adding certain apps

Jhobert, I advise you to read and get very familiar with the process as it could brick your phone. Brick means that it won't work at all no matter what you do.
Just wanted to warn you and advise you to do a lot of reading.

I would suggest downloading and flashing one of the NO-SENSE scripts in the Dev section or using ViperBloat to remove all the uneeded bloatware!

Can you UNINSTALL the bloatware apps or will that mess things up?
Also, where is ViperBloat? I am searching the dev forums but don't see it, unless it is a very old thread.

Connection Issues after Rooting

I've rooted my phone using the Ace Hack Kit a month ago and since then I have been having awful times with my 3G connection. I hardly get it, when I'm lucky I get EDGE, and I'm not even talking about callings that were also affected. I've tried several different Radios and I still didn't get a solution. I'm in Brazil and would like to know if there could be any connection of the rooting to the connection problems.
Thanks A LOT!

The root access has nothing to do with the signal strengh. The issue should be something in the hardware rather than the software. Try cleaning the antenna...
Sent from my Inspire 4G using XDA App
Now where exactly do I find the antenna? Is there a special technique to clean it?
Thanks again...

The antenna is under the back cover (where the sim card is)....make sure that the metal contacts are ok...just clean it with alcohol and let it dry...
No luck. Still getting bad connection. So there is NO WAY a software change could have caused it? And if it is a hardware problem could it be that a fall or something like it may have caused it?
Once again thanks for the help...

When you flashed a new radio did you also flash its corresponding ril? That could cause some issues. If so I would go back to stock to see if it still persists

Hey... That IS something... So for each radio I install through Bootloader there's a corresponding RIL that MUST be installed as well?

Have you tried any other rom other then an MIUI? Might want to give it a shot and see if it helps.
I've already tried MILLION different ROMS... Both Gingerbread and ICS and no success... I'm going nuts with it... =/

Yes that is very possible. If you dropped this phone it could have weakened one of the radio contacts or even possibly damaged a filter cap on the radio circuit. If software isnt changing your results the next logical step is that its hardware related. Also wondering how the 3g coverage is in your area as well.

If you think that is Rom related, go to the ARHD Q&A thread, there you will find answers better than here.

2 things you need:
1. Ask questions in the right area and not overtop of someone else's question. Thats just rude and shows you didnt read or research before asking your question, as i know this has been covered a dozen times.
2. You need the htc sync software on the computer for passthrough to work.

How to go about unlocking this device? Please I need some information..

Okay as far as I know this device (AT&T Evita ) can only be SIM unlocked by vendors on eBay or asking AT&T for the unlock code. Am I right ?
Only thing is, is that I bought this phone for $60 off a friend, yeah I know, very cheap. Only because he upgraded to the iPhone 5. And now I own the device and have it on AT&T Pre-Paid plan and I know the only other service I can put this on is a Straight Talk with the a AT&T Compatible SIM without the unlock code ..... But my over all question is can I call up AT&T and ask for the code since this device has Clean ESN and is no longer in there system due too an upgrade?

You should have no problems getting an unlock code. Keep in mind that it'll need to be on a Sense ROM for the unlock code to work.
