shouldn't matter what you odin over it or just flash to be honest as most roms/kernels nowadays support lagfix/voodoo (yes Froyo and GB)... if you really wanna be super safe you could odin back to stock with PIT and start fresh from there so you know what's going on

Because I've used EP1Q and currently running EP1W. It was showing "EP1Q" when i was running that, but only shows EP1 on EP1W.

It is EP1W . Looked at the wrong pic.

Full factory restore ODIN with radio, kernel and recovery. This will bring you back to the current unrooted 2.2.1 EE4 release of Android for the Droid Charge. Use 7zip to uncompress and flash with ODIN or SamsungPST.
If you need to fix your phone due to a bad restore from CWM or EXT4 File repartion problems you can use this ODIN file along with imnuts's PIT file. His instructions are here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1111486

It includes everything stock. 100% factory fresh. If you flash it with imnuts's PIT file it will also fix the partition mapping.

Hey OP,
Care to share the 2.3.4 AOSP ROM you have listed in your sig?

I am still tweaking it.. not 100% happy with it yet. But will share when it gets more stable.
Thanks for the interest!

THANK YOU! Taking this and going from the leaked 2.3.4. Still not perfect. I guess i am waiting until its re-released or released by verizon/samsung.
Thanks to the devs for their hardwork regardless.
I will post back with my results also for those worried.
Also just to be sure...i dont have a bad restore or anything so i dont need the PIT file correct?

You only need the PIT file if you wish to remap your partitions. Otherwise you can just flash the ODIN file directly.
Examples...
1. Want to restore from a GB rom.. flash just the ODIN
2. Want to restore from any EXT4 rom (or voodoo mod).. flash ODIN and PIT file
3. Bad restore from CWM.. flash ODIN and PIT file
4. Want to restore from regular froyo rom.. flash just the ODIN
Hope that helps..
-Penta
It does. I dont particularly understand partitions at this point so i can leave it alone. Its flashing now as downloading took forever. I've today off thankfully so i have time to troubleshoot.
EDIT: Also, 101 tasty chowdowns is on travelhd right now so it has been entertaining through this long process.

NO!! That's for Froyo roms, not GB roms.
Try it. Please. I dare you. No, there's basically stock and Nameless (plus the ones that come with the roms)

I was kidding dude... Like I said, the only ones that work with GB are the stock kernel and Nameless. There won't be an OC kernel until we get source.

I've actually got a question for you guys that's related. I'm running Humble 1.6 EE4 Froyo and I want to install the EP1W leak. Is it possible for me to just drop the zip in the SDcard and run CWM from there? Or do I have to odin it in?

You have to flash through ODIN which will erase all data.

[Q] Install Gummycharged from FP1?

I got my Charge during its EP4 days and never got a chance to try out the Gummycharged ROM. (I need a change of scenery) Is there any way to flash this while on FP1? Will it brick my phone? I was looking on the rootzwiki forums on how to install Gummycharged 2.1 and it says to go to stock EP1W before flashing. LMK if there is a possible downgrade.

You can Odin back too EP1W however that framework is very old and I would not recommend using it

Yeah, you can just Odin the stock ROM... But Gummy is extremely old.

Don't worry. Even though Kejar left us when the Bionic came out, he said he would dev for the Charge again as soon as he got some time.

No, no I did not.
Thanks so much Shrike, worked perfectly.
I'm trying out stock rooted FP5. So far it seems really fast. I'm not thrilled with the "poop and puke" but I can handle it for a while. Do yall think the stock kernel is faster than PB&J with Ext4?
Also which is better for debloating, Titanium or Root Explorer?

regarding the kernel, I have found stock FP5 to be just as zippy as PBJ on EXT4. however, I'm sure that when IMNUTS is through creating a new kernel for us, that will be the bees knees...
Yeah I'm totally psyched about coming developments for FP5. Imnuts is awesome for coming back to fix us up a kernel even though he's not using a Charge anymore. And of course Dwitherell has been there for us right along. Ya gotta love that guy.
