That is correct.
I got a question...what is the advantages of having vs not having bootloaders in the ROM? Is there any difference at all?
EDIT: Unlocking/Removing the bootloader allows you to install custom Firmware on your Android phone.

You have to flash through ODIN which will erase all data.

Umm... that's probably because it's meant for froyo bro. If you can still boot into the rom that you were in, add the su fix in the Doctorz rom and then flash it. If not, odin to stock, root FROYO, 3e, gtg community kernel. You know the deal.

If you had really researched it you would have read that SOC won't root the kk3 leak.
The GB roms that you see have been modded or ported.
To root the kk3 leak all you have to do is flash entropy's kernel dated 11/02/11.

I'm sorry, but I'm a total noob with Samsung. I rooted to a particular ROM, but ran into some issues and had to unbrick the phone. Upon doing so, I selected the kk3 leak and then lost root. I used SOC 2.3.3 to try to reroot, but I got stuck at step 7. So I want to try flashing Entropy's kernel as you mentioned. I'm not sure how to do this though. The kernel is in a CWM .zip format, but Odin reads .tar files. Do I unzip the .zip file and then convert to a .tar file? This didn't seem to work when I initially tried it, but perhaps I did something wrong. Any special settings I need to use? Also, do I just need to reboot after I flash it and I will have root? If not, what else must I do?
Sorry again for my lack of understanding. I've been trying to find an answer for hours and have become a little desperate. Thanks in advance for any and all help.

lol. Well another member said "To root the kk3 leak all you have to do is flash entropy's kernel dated 11/02/11." I thought that meant it could be rooted. Sorry for the misunderstanding.
I downloaded the free trial of PowerAmp a few weeks ago and liked it, but then I got the alert saying my trial was over, please buy the unlocker. I wanted to see what else was out there so I tried WinAmp and a couple others, but decided to go with the full on Poweramp.
I tried to open the free trial and I kept getting FC's. So, I thought it had something to do with the trial being over so I bought the unlocker and it still doesn't work. It won't FC right away, but instead I get a message saying that it failed to load because it failed to load some native library and that I should try to uninstall/reinstall or it could be because my device is not compatible. It's obviously compatible since it worked before and I've uninstalled/reinstalled the free app and the unlocker at least twice. After the last un/reinstall I even deleted the only backup I had on Titanium, rebooted, re/uninstalled again and still same problem.
Any ideas?

Have you tried downloading the Poweramp apk. Maybe that would install. PowerAmp
I'd hate to see you lose PowerAmp. I love it. I bought it months ago when it was only $3. Knowing what I know about it I'd gladly pay $5.

I never officially gave that a version number - I am no where near getting a new version out, as I have maybe 3 changes total that have been made (and they are all pretty minor), though there's a 4th to be had (hopefully) once I take a look at kvswim's logcat.

I tried downloading the free trial apk from the site, but it didn't really do much more. It looked like it actually got into the app and it registered such because it asked if I wanted to send a log, so I did. I don't want to lose it anyway. Just wish I could get it to work now! lol

Maybe what you need to do is uninstall the unlocker and get a new version of that. Once you've paid for it they keep record of your purchases and you can download it again.

My phone never ran as good on PB&J with either Ext4 or RFS plus overclocking as it does with the FP5 stock kernel and Tweaked 3. My Baseband, kernel and build are all FP5. Samsung and Verizon really did it right when they released FP5.

I've heard that from others on here too. Is it possible to flash the FP5 kernel w/o having to re-flash Tweaked? Or do I have to go through the whole, backup, wipe data, flash FP5, flash Tweaked? And what's baseband?

Update to FP8 radios have been released. The update i'm sure is being Kanged and worked on by the DEVs here. But update your radio's now if you would like. Run the zip in CWM. You "HAVE" to be on FP5 to update to FP8. Not sure what effects it will have if you try without being on FP5E.
Please thank MidnightNinja for the original fp5 to fp8 radio work.

Working like a charm. I do hope we get the full update on Tweaked as my wife and I don't get to get new phones until January! So jealous of all the cool phones coming out. But, I know when I get mine then, all of your phones will be obsolete like the Charge is. LOL They are coming out too fast with fantastic phones. Thanks for this to all who made it possible.

Nope. It only touches the radios not the kernel, so it's safe. I've been running stock rooted FP5 since it seems to be less hassle that Lazarus (consistently smoother and more stable)
I always keep a copy the latest SuperSU CWM zip on my SD card just in case, but I didn't need it.

That's good know, I've never actually rooted my phone with the stock ROM. Always just Odin a custom ROM so it's rooted already.
New modem is very good i get stronger signals from it.
Haven't had any issues with the quality either.

My phone has never been faster or Smoother
After I install this how do I know if it worked? CWM said install successful but phone info still says FP5. Is that just cause Tweaked or whatever told the phone to display FP5 or did it not work?
