I'm coming from a Samsung captivate & some roms would cause problems with your efs folder.
Same case with the infuse or not a problem?

Just search for efs backup and back it up.

I'm thinking about flashing the froyo rom and I want to back my apps up. Here's the issue. AT&T but a block on unknown sources. How do I enable it, or would RomManager work just as good?

i might be exchanging my nexus s soon (back button occasionally gets stuck), and im wondering how i'd back up paradise island so i wouldn't have to start all over on the new phone?
im not rooted
thanks!
Titanium Backup will do that for you. Backup app+data. All the files are stored on the sdcard.

Titanium Backup will do it, but you have to be rooted.
If you're not rooted, don't think there is a way.

I backed up my efs through Brainmasters auto backup script and I was wondering how I could restore it. My phones running fine. I'm just curious.

Lol I expected it to be a little more complicated that that
Thanks. I'd hit the thanks button. But I'm on Tapatalk. I'll do it when I'm on a computer.

you can get into cwm from rom manager, if you dont know how to get into cwm since your device is a Galaxy s2 t-mobile, turn it off, hold power up and power button at same time untill you see the samsung logo.
A similar problem occurred with my Samsung Galaxy GT1900. The efs folder was corrupted and I was unable to fix that. Factory restore, rooting and installing a new ROM also didnt helped. There were few guides here to fix it by ourselves with some tweaking. But none worked.
The only way i made it work is that by buying a gadget called J-tang or just J tang.
By connecting J tang to PC and mobile to J Tang it manually pushes a new efs folder. But by this yout IMEI number will be changed and you will get a new IMEI number which will restore the mobile to working condition. That's how I fixed it.

You'll wanna check out the EFS Backup solution here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2514095
or TWRP offers an EFS backup as well. Not sure of other recoveries and TWRP does everything I need it to do, and well.
But if it is already corrupted...yikes. I haven't seen any tools to fix that on the Nexus 5. Remember some in the Samsung forums, but not helpful here...
Some people had success with just fastboot flashing the stock cache.img file, though depends on what borked it in the first place.
