Anyone want to buy my Galaxy 4G?

Because honestly, the development sucks on this phone. Also, it appears any kind of development for this has been abandoned....I just can't keep a phone that I cannot modify..and yes, I am too busy/ignorant to learn the development on my own..

What are you doing at his mother's house on mother's day?

Why not post on craigslist or ebay before you try to sell it on here.

Can this thread be closed, this guy doesn't want to get flamed on but he goes and says he's to lazy or w/e to develop mods, roms, hacks himself

I am already admitting my lazyness, and I really don't have the time...I work two jobs and studying for a Microsoft certification.
I just want to sell it, I'll try other sites also..

I agree with you that's why I got me the Nexus S 4G and dump T-Mobile and their bull mofos where giving me edge every 2 weeks since I got the SGS4G ... and never gave me my mail in rebate ... also they give more promotion power to crap phones like that Nokia. I think if I saw 1 ad for this phone it was a miracle ... but that's my beef with T-Mobile ... back to the phone I think it could have been great. But I'll again compare it to the Sega Dreamcast bad ass died young ...

I'm the same way. So as to why that guy is being a jack ass to you is the real question here... like has he done anything to help the SGS4G community? I don't think so... and the ass trying to shut down the thread mike has made. Probably has not heard of freedom of speech?

lmao freedom of speech? By all means. We are just trying to have hope and what not for our phones. =)
But for someone who doesn't have hope or patients shouldn't make others feel bad, by posting this thread.honestly we can all agree to some and disagree to some of mike's reasons but that's just reminds us that our phones are not being progressed faster like other phones but it's okay if you have hope. =)

Guys relax, if you aren't interested in buying the phone, don't respond.
Like mentioned already I would look at craigslist to sell the phone. Hit me up on twitter and let me know if its still for sale i will tweet it for you and see if there are any takers.
Everyone else, We are still just really waiting on some final mods within the CWM. Once that is all figured out then ROM's will come out.

i just had to come back to this thread and tell you what happened lol. I saw this thread about 5 days ago i think.. Im in nyc and i just got the g2x so i was interested in the case but i work during the day so i would not be able to pick it up. My phone ended up being cracked by a friend the following day so i realllly regretted not posting here earlier :/. Thanks for the offer though bro. and congrats to the person that got it lol.

On a lighter note...

Aside from the feds killing megaupload, noobs being noobs, and certain people talking about leaving the forums... Anybody got something good going on in their lives? Dont take this the wrong way and flame me as im sure some of you will, I would just like to hear some good news for once! It doesnt matter what its about or wether or not it is relevant. Got accepted for a Weather Radar Network undergraduate research and changed a library class for another technology related and it made my schedule much organized and beautiful.
My gf visited me at my lodge these days and now Im going to take a nap.
It could be perfect day if I end up eating sushi and flashing a new rom.

I got paid today. That makes me smile. Well, until I look at my bills anyway.

I just put ICS 4.0.3 on my Nexus S 4G. My kids are asleep for the night and I'm enjoying some home-brewed Starbucks Coffee while I play on the phone and computer.

IGNORE!

So today i was flashed ASKP rom for the skyrocket. Everything was going fine Text messages were going through, internet was working. My only problem was that my calls were not going through. So i restored my backup and nothing still. Then i used odin to return back to stock. Thing is the UCLD2 radio was still there. So i flashed the original radio for 2.3.5 because that is what i am running. My calls still wont go through. Any Suggestions?
Edit: while i wrote this, i was flashing the 2nd ics leak. Now everything works again. im sorry for this huge waste of space.

Crazy thing is I've been flashing since the G1/Dream. Idk lately I've been out of it. Stressing over a couple of exams i have coming up. I'll just stick with rooted stock ics for now.

What tar did you flash in odin? Did you wipe and format before you flashed?

When I saw that the calls werent working for the ASKP I restored the nandroid that I had. Still wasn't working. So i decided to go back to stock GB. I used the tar from the Return to Stock/fix soft brick thread. But it still had the UCLD2 radio. So then I had to flash the GB radio.

Thats because thats not a complete tar. I have been posting about sammobile since I found it for a month or two. It is complete and also restores the radio, unlike that other one you used. I always wipe and format everything before using odin as well.

Yeah. I just made an account with them. I'll use their tar from now on. And thanks for the advice and not flaming lol

AOKP is where it's at, when it's finished, that is.

In a change of subject. I took welding in high-school. I loved it. And I got good at it. My teacher once told me that underwater welding was a dangerous job, but it paid well. You have some experience in that, what's your take on it? Worth it?

That's just a small part of the commercial diving gig. You do far more other stuff, more often, than welding. If you are gonna work offshore you have to be a dive tender(*****) for some years until you are promoted to full diver status, if you even make it that long. The drop out rate is somewhere around 95% or higher. It's tough work being a tender, and most can't handle it. If you make it you can look forward to making well into 6 figures. It's a rough life, though. I love it, always something new, fly by the seat of your pants type stuff. Very dangerous, pays well, runs like the military.

At least you love doing what you do. If not then what's the point? I'm still in college majoring in CIS but Its not something I wana do for the rest of my life. I love getting my hands dirty. I still got a couple of years to figure things out but I might end up opening an Auto shop specializing in American cars.

I've always worked with my hands for my career. But I enjoy learning and messing with android and stuff in my free time now.
I drive german cars and work on those. My dad does american muscle, he's not a huge fan of my choice on auto's

I was into imports big time. But then I did an internship with the NYPD repairing fleet cars. And all the techs there were into American cars. One of them is an actual tournament racer. And they would bring their cars and show them off to me and let me work on them. It was pretty cool. To bad I had to leave.

Observation about devs

Did you noticed that new roms are always posted late night? I guess most of the genius guys work at night. Any idea?

They're posted late at night so you feel like it's xmas morning every time a new ROM is released. You wake up, check the boards, hey look, an update!
Either that or we're just night people. We get our inspiration at night.

Yeah, you know you're spoiled when you are thinking about flashing a different ROM because a whole 3 days have passed without an update to your current ROM and you feel the need for something new.

Some of it could just be the difference in time zones that make it seem late. Or maybe that's the only time devs have outside of their personal lives to do their dev work.

Giving **** over the net is a lot better than giving it to the family. Yep there's only a delete key on the computer.

Besides when I was serving, every job I've had has been 2nd shift. Between 6pm and 6am is my daytime. I have "oberved" (lol) that a lot of people into tech, are usually doing there thing in the wee hours of the morning, before the sun rises.

Haha I like the title of this thread.....

It's because bhundven and I are up until around 4 or 5am in our respective time zones making stuff work.
Or in my case breaking stuff.
