[Q] I can't put Chevron after come back to 7004

I try Mango Beta, it's nice but after I go back to 7004.
I want to put chevron another time before put 7392, but now it's impossible for me !
I unload all programs, reinstall, delete host file, try another PC always the same message from chevron : "sorry, I'm having trouble communicating ..." Zune running, mozart was synchronise but ...
I think that Mango modify something in my mozart like Dfrouter mode.
Somebody can help me ?

Did you try to uninstall 4.8 of Zune? Go back to 4.7 and give that a try.

You should be able to do it. I had locked mango --> reinstalled factory 7004 --> updated to 7008 --> Chevron unlocked --> updated to nodo --> updated to Mango again, but this time kept my unlock via root tools and diagnosis app. This way is wayyyy easier than Ansar's way.

[Q] htc 7 pro 7.0.7392.0 possible to jailbreak?

I have been trying to get this phone unlocked but not having much luck at all.
I keep getting the Uh oh message.
I have updated the phone to the latest version 7392, I downgraded and tried unlocking too but didnt work either.
Now im beginning to think that jailbreaking works for only 7004 versions. Am I correct?
I have followed instructions, turning off firewall, airplane mode, screen lock off, resetting phone before trying again, making sure your not guest when syncing via zune, editing the host file.
Im on vista btw should I try on windows 7?

hi all, i would be interested too on a update on the latest happenings with WP7 (completley lost touch with the scene). From my understanding, if you have the copy and paste function on your phone, your phone has an update which does not allow jailbreaking, correct?
also - to jailbreak - does that mean you can download apps from marketplace for free?

NO!!! with unlock (jailbreak) you can load (deploy) applications to device from computer... many programmers can make applications without to pay and send this applications to Microsoft but without unlock you cant deploy this applications to device

How am I able to downgrade my software ? I have 7.0.7392.... on a htc 7 pro

i managed what you want... i had a standard 7392 stock HTC from O2 germany. i flashed a ROM signed from ansar the one that is going on this phone and then followed the instructions of this forum here and get in the end a dev. unlocked htc 7 pro with 7.10.7720.68 OS version. it took me about 3-4 h to manage this from 7004 build to 7720... but it goes. i can deploy xap files. only one thing is, i can open the touchexplorer but not the advanced config any more i think it has something with mango to do... i hope there will be an update of this app for mango...

Current Version: Mango
I had a clean NoDo version (NoDo Based Phone) and i went on to "update" it into Mango without unlocking it and i now face a problem of installing .xap files into my phone.. :S
Yea. So i went to look for solutions and i know that i'll have to restore my phone and unlock it before updating to Mango so that it'll be a unlocked Mango. But the problem is all i see on the net is to unlock the NoDo version using Chevron and if i'm not wrong it is currently down..

By creating a dev account which i can't and idk why :S.
I hope that you people can help me out.. I've been stuckeddd for a few days already :/

Read through this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1215501, it provides a complete guide on how to perform the unlocked Mango upgrade. It also refers to another guide by Ansar which will show you how to perform the XML provisioning at each step to ensure you keep your unlocked status.

I don't think there is a way to do the Chevron unlock on the CDMA WP7 phones that come with NoDo stock. You have to be pre-NoDo for Chevron to work and there is no pre-NoDo CDMA ROM (I think; I could be wrong). I am in the same situation and paid to become a developer to get mine unlocked. Sorry...

[Q] Help!!! Sprint HTC T7575(Arrive) Mango 7720

Ok where to start I Have a dev unlocked HTC T7575(Arrive) with Mango 7720 and I'm trying to get interop unlocked??? I have tried HTC Interop unlock but cannot get HTC Connection Setup from HTC hub cuz it says my "phone is not supported" when I open app??? My phone has all default settings the only thing I have installed was Windows Phone Device Manager which also installed TouchXperience. Other than that I have also tried to install DFT HSPL RSPL WP7F3 but in order to install that I need Windows Mobile Device Center, so I download that, install on Windows 7 64bit laptop but it doesn't install device then it says my phone is not connected after installed and opened......it connects and sync with Zune same with Windows Phone Device Manager....But not WMDC????? I also just tried to install the DFT RSPL but when I shutdown to bootloader "serial" never pops up at bottom of screen? I have searched through all the forums and google for a week now. Everything is either outdated or hasn't worked for me. I'm really new at this mobile hacking but a long time programmer and would love to get into the homebrew apps. So any help would be much appreciated I normally don't ask for help, I like to tinker and learn. But you guys our my only hope now !!!!!!

you will need to do the "GOLD CARD" with this http://www.mediafire.com/?poug9h77ckfndde file to restore the OSPL at v 1.25, then you should be able to install the DFT HSPL

you can alway just buy a Y cable, a Female-Female gender changer and an adapter to MicroUSB. No soldering needed if you do that way.

no, if the arrive is half-bricked, there is no way to communicate with it while in the bootloader. This is why it must be reflashed using the gold card.

Hey, I have a HTC surround running windows 7.5 the os version is 7.10.7720.68
And I recently have tried to developer unlock my phone using chevronwp7.
But everytime I press unlock, it says I'm having problems connecting to your device, make sure it is pin unlocked and Zune is running; which it is. Can someone PLEASE guide me in the right direction? Thank you guys so much

Have you installed Microsoft .NET Framework 4?

Okay I'm still very new to windows phone 7, as I stated, I have wp7.5, os:7.10.7720.68.I have boot loader: 4.3.2250.0(128976). can someone please tell me how I would go about flashing a stock ruu? Okayyyyy... a few things.
First. it looks like you're trying to use the original ChevronWP7 unlock. That tool is dead, and has been for over a year (it only worked on pre-NoDo ROMs). This is well documented. I'm not sure why people keep trying it... you'd think they'd read up a little before trying to use a hack on their phone.
Second. Why do you want to flash a stock ROM? (RUU = ROM Update Utility) In any case, the procedure is simple: turn the phone off, hold the Volume Down button, press Power to start the phone again. It'll boot to a screen with bands of color and yellow text. Next, connect it to the PC. You'll need the relevant drivers; Vista and up will install them automatically but for some reason you're still running an 11-year-old OS on your PC so you might need to install them manually (I think they are included with the Windows Mobile Device Center download from Microsoft). The phone should say USB at the bottom when it's connected; at that point just run the RUU program.
Thrid. RSPL / HSPL are replacement bootloaders for WP7. They allow installing custom ROMs. If you want to do that, you'll need to first downgrade your current bootloader; SPL 4.3 is too high for using RSPL. Since you're not on SPL 5.X yet, I think you can downgrade just by installing an older stock ROM or radio update. Otherwise, there are a number of guides for how to downgrade the SPL.

You are on a developer-locked HTC phone? The first option is to try getting dev-unlocked, for example by getting an AppHub account or a friend who has one. They're free for students (go through Dreamspark). The second option is to use a custom ROM. The third option is to wait until a new hack is found.
Once you're dev-unlocked, you can use the Interop-Unlock app from Heathcliff74 (the HTC one, specifically) to allow unlimited sideloading. Then, you can install WP7 Root Tools 0.9 to get nearly full access to the device.
