[Q] htc 7 pro 7.0.7392.0 possible to jailbreak?

I have been trying to get this phone unlocked but not having much luck at all.
I keep getting the Uh oh message.
I have updated the phone to the latest version 7392, I downgraded and tried unlocking too but didnt work either.
Now im beginning to think that jailbreaking works for only 7004 versions. Am I correct?
I have followed instructions, turning off firewall, airplane mode, screen lock off, resetting phone before trying again, making sure your not guest when syncing via zune, editing the host file.
Im on vista btw should I try on windows 7?

hi all, i would be interested too on a update on the latest happenings with WP7 (completley lost touch with the scene). From my understanding, if you have the copy and paste function on your phone, your phone has an update which does not allow jailbreaking, correct?
also - to jailbreak - does that mean you can download apps from marketplace for free?

NO!!! with unlock (jailbreak) you can load (deploy) applications to device from computer... many programmers can make applications without to pay and send this applications to Microsoft but without unlock you cant deploy this applications to device

How am I able to downgrade my software ? I have 7.0.7392.... on a htc 7 pro

i managed what you want... i had a standard 7392 stock HTC from O2 germany. i flashed a ROM signed from ansar the one that is going on this phone and then followed the instructions of this forum here and get in the end a dev. unlocked htc 7 pro with 7.10.7720.68 OS version. it took me about 3-4 h to manage this from 7004 build to 7720... but it goes. i can deploy xap files. only one thing is, i can open the touchexplorer but not the advanced config any more i think it has something with mango to do... i hope there will be an update of this app for mango...

chevron wp7 not working for me need help please!!

hey guys i have been trying 6 hours today get my phone unlocked so i can get game using tom xap installer will i tried a lot of things like changing date and put airplane mode on. None of them are working though all i keep getting is sorry i'm having trouble communicating with your phone. please make sure it connected with a usb cable... and so on. I install the cert on my phone through the email to but still gave me the same reply. please help i am new and not sure how to do this :\

what software version is on ur phone must be pre nodo for chevron to work

Yah make sure you have a 7004/7008 pre-nodo rom and make an exception in your firewall for chevron. The second one hung me up for a while. I have eset and had to add a rule to allow connection after that worked perfect. Chevron wont work at all on 7392(nodo) roms or higher. Microsoft fixed the hole chevron used in nodo.

7.0.7392 i tried pre nodo and it gave a error connection so i couldnt do it :\

[Q] SPL not listed within RSPL

On my HTC7, my SPL version is v1.24 which isnt listed within the RSPL choice menu. Not just wanting to gamble and try v1.23 or v1.25 & end up bricking my phone, what advice would you give me. My Goal is to have RTM mango with Chevron

rspl is needed to flash custom roms which u do not need when goin to rtm mango...

To prevent relock i assume that u mean edit the registry adding the two new value's.

yes that is one way of doing it... if after syncing with zune u r still able to sideload apps that means u have prevented relock.

Tried and tested the relock by syncing with Zune, and all still works.
So i should now connect the phone to zune 4.7 & do the "February" update then follow tutorial in post 2 here>

Something went rong Got all the way to 7403 & after updating to 7712 (section8) chevron lock was enabled.
Can go back to my original backup file i made b4 any update were applied and start again using "Windows Phone Support Tool" ?

sorry to hear that ... u should be able to restore through zune back to nodo it will still be unclocked and start again with going to 7403...

I rolled back to pre 7392 & updated through Zune to bring back up to 7392.
Following the tut on Post2 section7, i installed "Unlock_Mango_XBMODDeployer.xap" and moved "copy CustClear.provxml" to the correct place but Zune tells me my phone is currently up to date so im unable to move forward and update to Beta 7403
Any ideas?

Thanks for all your help but "ISV_Provisioning_Live" i cant get to work correctly. I have tried it on two separate computers running win7. (One 64bit & the 32bit)
Made sure that i had Installed "Setup-UpdateWP"
The "Provisioning_Live" app will close Zune but then hangs. Occasionally a message will appear within the "ISV_Provisioning_Live" app telling me i have 55 seconds to unlock my phone.
My phone's lock isnt on, & nor the phone or application are showing anykind of activity.
I have placed the app in the root also & within its own folder, with the same results. The log also has no information. I have tried Zune 4.7 & 4.8, tried compatibility, Admin and non Admin mode also.
Luck just isnt on my side with this
I had even restored the phone right back to the original o/s that the phone was shipped with.

try uinstalling then reinstalling the windows phone update tool

Spent a few more hours on it today & im almost there
Adding the the 2 new registry value's to prevent Chevron relock will only work up to build 7392. After updating to build 7712 Chevron unlock is lost.
Im going to have to find a different way of preventing Chevron relock before i can retry.
My full backup build is 7004, but i also have now a second backup made by "ISV Provisioning Live" which is 7392.
I can restore either of my backup's on my phone but i dont know which to choose as my starting point, and how to stop Chevron from relocking

im confused lol . are u not following the steps for 7004 to 7712 while keeping unlock ?

[Q] Trophy ROM for Mazaa?

Hi everyone,
I am an HTC Mazaa owner and want to know if theres a way to install HTC Trophy ROM on my Mazaa device. Since apperently Mazaa is same in everything to Trophy, so I guess no extra drivers will be needed.
I am very new to all this. So please tell me if theres a chance for installing Trophy ROM on Mazaa, if yes, how.

CPU is different
I think CPU and some chip is diffrent so It is not possible

The answer is no. The HTC Mazaa may share the same shell with the HTC Trophy, but the internals are different.

Is there any other way to install the latest ROM?
OR atleast tell me how to do interop unlock on my Mazaa.

The HTC Interop-Unlock app should work on the Mazaa, unless it has a specific block on the Connection Setup app or its firmware version is too high.

... Did you read the info on what is required for the app to work? What's your firmware version number? Prior to Mango, were you able to use provxml apps?

I feel your pain, I have interop unlocked my Trophy twice but with this latest firmware it's impossible. We will have to wait for a custom ROM.

Verizon Trophy is now supported in V3 of DFT's HSPL unlock. I have written a HOWTO guide for Verizon Trophy.
Mazaa, I somehow doubt if DFT is working to support, but you'd need to contact them and ask. They can only work on phones they can get their hands on, and they may not be able to get a Mazaa.
It seems that Mazaa has one stock rom available (i have no way of verifying if this rom works), but it is for Mango. I do not know if this phone shipped with NoDo or if you can find a stock NoDo from for it (perhaps try private messaging Football to see if he has a connection that can get roms for this phone??).
Verizon Trophy can be downgraded to NoDo using the same rom listed in my HSPL guide (it is the only NoDo rom that isn't a store demo).

I personally don't know anyone with a stock nodo rom for the mazaa.
Connection setup should exit with "no database found" or something like that. Yes, very lame.
On the whole, there's no way to interop-unlock the mazaa yet.
Interestingly, if you register the phone's serial on the htc website, it registers as a SPARK_W, which is the same as the verizon trophy. I haven't tried using hspl v3 to unlock it, so update us if you get anywhere.
but if you do screw up, then just use the stock rom above. ;-)

I am ready to try HSPL V3 but I can't enter the phone's SPL mode. The Volume Down + Power On is not working for me. Can someone guide me on how I can use HSPL V3 on Maaza.

Hey, I have a HTC surround running windows 7.5 the os version is 7.10.7720.68
And I recently have tried to developer unlock my phone using chevronwp7.
But everytime I press unlock, it says I'm having problems connecting to your device, make sure it is pin unlocked and Zune is running; which it is. Can someone PLEASE guide me in the right direction? Thank you guys so much

Okayyyyy... a few things.
First. it looks like you're trying to use the original ChevronWP7 unlock. That tool is dead, and has been for over a year (it only worked on pre-NoDo ROMs). This is well documented. I'm not sure why people keep trying it... you'd think they'd read up a little before trying to use a hack on their phone.
Second. Why do you want to flash a stock ROM? (RUU = ROM Update Utility) In any case, the procedure is simple: turn the phone off, hold the Volume Down button, press Power to start the phone again. It'll boot to a screen with bands of color and yellow text. Next, connect it to the PC. You'll need the relevant drivers; Vista and up will install them automatically but for some reason you're still running an 11-year-old OS on your PC so you might need to install them manually (I think they are included with the Windows Mobile Device Center download from Microsoft). The phone should say USB at the bottom when it's connected; at that point just run the RUU program.
Thrid. RSPL / HSPL are replacement bootloaders for WP7. They allow installing custom ROMs. If you want to do that, you'll need to first downgrade your current bootloader; SPL 4.3 is too high for using RSPL. Since you're not on SPL 5.X yet, I think you can downgrade just by installing an older stock ROM or radio update. Otherwise, there are a number of guides for how to downgrade the SPL.

You are on a developer-locked HTC phone? The first option is to try getting dev-unlocked, for example by getting an AppHub account or a friend who has one. They're free for students (go through Dreamspark). The second option is to use a custom ROM. The third option is to wait until a new hack is found.
Once you're dev-unlocked, you can use the Interop-Unlock app from Heathcliff74 (the HTC one, specifically) to allow unlimited sideloading. Then, you can install WP7 Root Tools 0.9 to get nearly full access to the device.
