I try Mango Beta, it's nice but after I go back to 7004.
I want to put chevron another time before put 7392, but now it's impossible for me !
I unload all programs, reinstall, delete host file, try another PC always the same message from chevron : "sorry, I'm having trouble communicating ..." Zune running, mozart was synchronise but ...
I think that Mango modify something in my mozart like Dfrouter mode.
Somebody can help me ?

Did you try to uninstall 4.8 of Zune? Go back to 4.7 and give that a try.

You should be able to do it. I had locked mango --> reinstalled factory 7004 --> updated to 7008 --> Chevron unlocked --> updated to nodo --> updated to Mango again, but this time kept my unlock via root tools and diagnosis app. This way is wayyyy easier than Ansar's way.

I have been trying to get this phone unlocked but not having much luck at all.
I keep getting the Uh oh message.
I have updated the phone to the latest version 7392, I downgraded and tried unlocking too but didnt work either.
Now im beginning to think that jailbreaking works for only 7004 versions. Am I correct?
I have followed instructions, turning off firewall, airplane mode, screen lock off, resetting phone before trying again, making sure your not guest when syncing via zune, editing the host file.
Im on vista btw should I try on windows 7?

hi all, i would be interested too on a update on the latest happenings with WP7 (completley lost touch with the scene). From my understanding, if you have the copy and paste function on your phone, your phone has an update which does not allow jailbreaking, correct?
also - to jailbreak - does that mean you can download apps from marketplace for free?

NO!!! with unlock (jailbreak) you can load (deploy) applications to device from computer... many programmers can make applications without to pay and send this applications to Microsoft but without unlock you cant deploy this applications to device
How am I able to downgrade my software ? I have 7.0.7392.... on a htc 7 pro
i managed what you want... i had a standard 7392 stock HTC from O2 germany. i flashed a ROM signed from ansar the one that is going on this phone and then followed the instructions of this forum here and get in the end a dev. unlocked htc 7 pro with 7.10.7720.68 OS version. it took me about 3-4 h to manage this from 7004 build to 7720... but it goes. i can deploy xap files. only one thing is, i can open the touchexplorer but not the advanced config any more i think it has something with mango to do... i hope there will be an update of this app for mango...
I would like to downgrade HTC 7 Pro from NoDo(7392) to ealier version of rom and then unlock with chevron to set Polish language and then install Mango but I don't know how to connect my phone... With Zune 4.8 or with WMDC?. Maybe someone can explain to me how to do this couse I can't handle myself...

You must install Zune ver. 4.7 because this version is compatible with NoDo. Ver 4.8 install later.
I go to bootloader mode and now checking connection is ok but I have some problem with Image version which is empty...
I attached screenshot.
Ok I managed to downgrade to 7004 so now Mango.
I have managed to run Mango 7720 with my national langauge and chevron unlock after downgrading from 7392 locked so if someone is interested please give ma a sign and I will post step by step what I have done.

Thanx! It worked. Flashed to pre-NODO, then unlock, install registry editor, then put in the needed registry keys for language and prevent relock, then put NODO back on.
Now wait for mango
hey guys i have been trying 6 hours today get my phone unlocked so i can get game using tom xap installer will i tried a lot of things like changing date and put airplane mode on. None of them are working though all i keep getting is sorry i'm having trouble communicating with your phone. please make sure it connected with a usb cable... and so on. I install the cert on my phone through the email to but still gave me the same reply. please help i am new and not sure how to do this :\
what software version is on ur phone must be pre nodo for chevron to work
Yah make sure you have a 7004/7008 pre-nodo rom and make an exception in your firewall for chevron. The second one hung me up for a while. I have eset and had to add a rule to allow connection after that worked perfect. Chevron wont work at all on 7392(nodo) roms or higher. Microsoft fixed the hole chevron used in nodo.

7.0.7392 i tried pre nodo and it gave a error connection so i couldnt do it :\

rspl is needed to flash custom roms which u do not need when goin to rtm mango...

yes that is one way of doing it... if after syncing with zune u r still able to sideload apps that means u have prevented relock.
Tried and tested the relock by syncing with Zune, and all still works.
So i should now connect the phone to zune 4.7 & do the "February" update then follow tutorial in post 2 here>

Something went rong Got all the way to 7403 & after updating to 7712 (section8) chevron lock was enabled.
Can go back to my original backup file i made b4 any update were applied and start again using "Windows Phone Support Tool" ?
sorry to hear that ... u should be able to restore through zune back to nodo it will still be unclocked and start again with going to 7403...
I rolled back to pre 7392 & updated through Zune to bring back up to 7392.
Following the tut on Post2 section7, i installed "Unlock_Mango_XBMODDeployer.xap" and moved "copy CustClear.provxml" to the correct place but Zune tells me my phone is currently up to date so im unable to move forward and update to Beta 7403
Any ideas?

Thanks for all your help but "ISV_Provisioning_Live" i cant get to work correctly. I have tried it on two separate computers running win7. (One 64bit & the 32bit)
Made sure that i had Installed "Setup-UpdateWP"
The "Provisioning_Live" app will close Zune but then hangs. Occasionally a message will appear within the "ISV_Provisioning_Live" app telling me i have 55 seconds to unlock my phone.
My phone's lock isnt on, & nor the phone or application are showing anykind of activity.
I have placed the app in the root also & within its own folder, with the same results. The log also has no information. I have tried Zune 4.7 & 4.8, tried compatibility, Admin and non Admin mode also.
Luck just isnt on my side with this
I had even restored the phone right back to the original o/s that the phone was shipped with.
try uinstalling then reinstalling the windows phone update tool

Spent a few more hours on it today & im almost there
Adding the the 2 new registry value's to prevent Chevron relock will only work up to build 7392. After updating to build 7712 Chevron unlock is lost.
Im going to have to find a different way of preventing Chevron relock before i can retry.
My full backup build is 7004, but i also have now a second backup made by "ISV Provisioning Live" which is 7392.
I can restore either of my backup's on my phone but i dont know which to choose as my starting point, and how to stop Chevron from relocking
im confused lol . are u not following the steps for 7004 to 7712 while keeping unlock ?

I have tryed to Jailbreak my Phone and install RSPL for installing the Freedom Rom.
This DFT-Tool said it´s all ok. Congrantulation. My Phone will Restart in RSPL Mode. But my Phone do nothing.
Now i dont know what i have to do. I cant update the Phone on Mango because i see an Error in Zune and i cant install an other Rom too.

simple try change to HSPL 1.7 (if supported or try use closest to your)

after instaling HSPL, use only Mango custom ROM's with disabled Zune update (this is important to prevent (H)SPL damage and halfbrick device).... custom ROM also is full unlocked. after upgrade to Mango, do hard reset and your device is fully ready to use (and also can use custom cab files for customization's)

try few times... unfortunately i cant install R/HSPL to my demo 7 Pro but on friends Mozart also dont want run RSPL and tried few times and worked...
Will it work on Windows XP?

Upgrade SPL to SPL_Signed.nbh from Ansar 1.22 Europe ROM by GoldCard (ROM O2 1.24 version contains SPL 1.07 too!). I had 1.07 after unbrick too, now I have HSPL applicable 1.22. M.
I had the same problem and created a different thread (not realising it was the same)

in effect, you need to flash a 1.22 rom, like, RUU_Gold_HTC_Europe_1.22.401.01_Radio_5.63.09.13_3a_22.36.50.15U_by_ansar
onto your device before you can then use the dft tool and then flash a custom rom.
Although it may be that there was no 1.22 rom for your german device at the time you posted...
