hi everyone.
i was wondering: if i am using a custom rom, will the market update be pushed to my phone?

oh and keep in mind... it's distribution is location based.

well, my sister already has it on her stock desire, but i dont, so, i was curious.

maybe it's device based as well... if you don't get the update, just download the apk from the forum.

i tried that, and when i installed the apk it said application not installed. i also tried a flashable version, but that didnt work. force close whenever i opened the market.
oh well, i'll just wait for the official update

Well I have an Evo and to get mine to update I just went into applications and cleared the data from the market app and within a minute it updated.

Clear market data from settings
rm /system/app/Vending.apk
then retry the apk.

Would someone be able to post a link here for the new market for qvga (wildfire)?
EDIT: dont worry, i found it. but it didnt work. i guess im not that desperate anyway

Downgrade

Does downgrading delete anything off the phone?

As far as I know yes =/ And somewhere I read that after flashing the new ROM it's recommended to do a hard reset first of all ^^

Flashing erases the phone but it's still recommended you do your own hard reset after flashing.

Is there anyway to update DFT Freedom Rom?

I was wondering if there is anyway to update freedom rom. Perhaps CAB sender?

The thing about windows phones is they run on Intel Cores, they are ment for windows and only Windows i have Seen some Threads That You are able to get Android 2.0-2.1 on a windows phone i dont even know how this was possible but im sure it might have been fake or Was very Slow and still in Beta. but this was for Some Specific Samsung Windows 7Phones so you much get lucky if they put somore Devolopement into it.(also if you were able to get android on it, it would Require Dual Boot. sooo windows and android will be on it.

So it have to be windows in my HTC... Thx...

[REQUEST] Upload of the latest AT&T update

If someone running the latest AT&T update, IIRC 21p, could take a nandroid and upload the system, boot, and modem partitions it would help me out a lot.
Don't have a PC at the moment so I can't go back to stock to take the OTA for fear of losing root and custom recovery.
Preferably with no debloat or changes other than root (or Viper )

I'm up and running on 20f, just waiting for the update to show up. When I search for updates it thinks I'm up to date.

My Atrix HD was slow like that.
Did you try *#*#checkin#*#*
Sometimes that'll make an OTA show up.

Still no luck, so I'm gonna try a factory reset.

Try taking out the SIM card and checking for the update on WiFi after a couple reboots. Works for me every time, of the update is 100% available.
