The thing about windows phones is they run on Intel Cores, they are ment for windows and only Windows i have Seen some Threads That You are able to get Android 2.0-2.1 on a windows phone i dont even know how this was possible but im sure it might have been fake or Was very Slow and still in Beta. but this was for Some Specific Samsung Windows 7Phones so you much get lucky if they put somore Devolopement into it.(also if you were able to get android on it, it would Require Dual Boot. sooo windows and android will be on it.
So it have to be windows in my HTC... Thx...

You didn't take much time to use the search function i guess? Start with that and maybe try the phone specific forum first.
Well i have had a look. It wont let me install the update via zune so i was hoping there was an updated rom to flash onto my phone. Cause at the moment the marketplace will not work!

You have to get a "special" version for HD2 etc. Due Microsoft's update servers does not recognize the device as updatable.
- For each new version, a update has to be ROM burned (erasing the phone)
Try using Back to Future WP7 by XBmod & Yuki, thts what I am currently using, you have to follow all of the instructions

I have tried bt5 and debian and no luck i tried with titan kernel instead of stock and no luck, i contacted developer and he said to try other roms. What error do you get? Mine says something about trying to mount then says no directory but now in the latest update it gets stuck on first line of code

Ubuntu has been released for android. Will our devices be able to run it? If so, will it run well?

I get the feeling it won't work too well if it works at all.
I'm placing emphasis on dual-core on the website below.

What about apps?

No they cannot but they should be easily portable since android and Ubuntu for android use the same kernel.

Kernel - yes (sort of)
Framework (the thing apps rely on to work - no

This thread is surely aimed at Ubuntu Phone, not Ubuntu for Android, no?

I'd like to see this ported to DS, especially as my contract runs out soon!

I belive that it will be realised
So, if some kind soul ports it (We are actually talking about Ubuntu phone, but not Ubuntu for android right?)
would it pop up on the android development forum?
Ubuntu
How big is this Ubuntu and more important could a sort of dual boot setup be created like on a PCM so the android os could be primary and perhaps Ubuntu could be on a partition on the flash card.
I got a 64gb sd card class 10 so I'm looking for ways of using my space creatively
Would you like to try Android 4.3?

If anyone get kernel panic is because you need to enable intel-vt in your bios configuration.

Hi.
I did, Intel VT is enabled, but I still get the kernel panic error... any guesses ?
Hi,
Unfortunately I don't know why it's working perfectly for some people and not working for other one.
I imagine could be a VirtualBox issue.
You can try either doing similar procedure using WMware or ask for support here:

Up!
Orientation...portrait?
I have successfully installed 4.3 on VirtualBox again using Ubuntu host. Is there a way to change the orientation to portrait permanantly so that the VM looks and operates like a phone? Short of finding a way to set my expensive monitor on it's side I can't really find a way.

You need to re-install the universal drivers for that device as well, no matter if you installed for another previously. Happened to me with 3 nexuses 5 at home.
So do I just remove the old drivers then plug in my new n5 then let it do its magic? Or install it myself on Android sdk

How do I even uninstall Nexus 5 drivers?
I just went on my device manager and unisntallrd both Nexus 5 on my device manager and I still can't install any drivers on my new n5 just fails when I plug it in

Yep, uninstall. If you got google drivers or universal naked drivers, install them
It makes the regular USB sound when plugged in then immediately makes like a awkward different sound after assuming that it's not recognize man I need to do this before school tommorow
I went to device manager delted all drivers related to Nexus 5 then deleted google drive on Android sdk then reinstalled it... Rebooted computer and still not getting installed..

are you on a windows PC?
If so, on the start menu, type "Device manager", open it, look for Nexus 5 on the list of devices, right click it and choose "update driver software"
then, choose " Browse my computer/ let me pick form a list of devices drivers, choose one that says ADB, look for Google or LG, next" ... done
