Downgrade - Windows Phone 7 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Does downgrading delete anything off the phone?

As far as I know yes =/ And somewhere I read that after flashing the new ROM it's recommended to do a hard reset first of all ^^

Flashing erases the phone but it's still recommended you do your own hard reset after flashing.
Fun fact: Hit thanks by mistake

Thanx, my developer account was granted last night, so now I have no reason to downgrad.

You didn't take much time to use the search function i guess? Start with that and maybe try the phone specific forum first.
Well i have had a look. It wont let me install the update via zune so i was hoping there was an updated rom to flash onto my phone. Cause at the moment the marketplace will not work!

You have to get a "special" version for HD2 etc. Due Microsoft's update servers does not recognize the device as updatable.
- For each new version, a update has to be ROM burned (erasing the phone)
Try using Back to Future WP7 by XBmod & Yuki, thts what I am currently using, you have to follow all of the instructions

Computer can't see phone. Latest beanstalk

So I just installed the latest beanstalk build. Clean install. Now my computer won't recognize the phone at all. Any ideas where to start.

I'm assuming it has something to do with the new partitioning maybe. It just mounted the internal storage wrong maybe?

Ok. So i grabbed a micro SD card to see if that would change anything. It doesnt. The phone is still not recognized by the computer. Ive tried a few USB cables and three computers (2 win8 and 1 win7). The phone charges from the computer fine. I tried my nexus 7 with both cables and all computers also. They saw the N7 no problem. So it is something in the phone. Thanks for any ideas you throw my way.
OK. Fresh clean flash and same problem. Silly question but can I just flash back to an older build to see if that fixes it. Only reason I ask is the partions. Thanks.

You would need to flash a stock "unbrick" package first, then flash your way back to JB via the usual methods... starting here for the stock packages:
Heimdall - http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1524081
-or-
Odin - http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...php?p=27286083
Damn. I was afraid of that. Oh well. Thanks. Any ideas what caused it?

Your phone issue sounds like loss of imei info. That sometimes happens during the convert to jb. Revert to stock usually fixes that.
2nd item - there are no back conversions for the partition layout other than the stock packages.

OK. So little update. No idea what happened, but I plugged my phone into my laptop to charge so I could begin the the process of going back to stock and it was imediatly recognised. I didn't change anything. Just bam worked.

No signal

Today I received a phone recharge, and the first 5 minutes after this recharge everything was good, but then, with no sense, my smartphone didn't receive the signal.
Like I said, the first 5 minutes the device is good, in fact I called my friend with no problems...
I tried to change the SIM, but it doesn't work anyway...
What can I do?

Assuming the reprovision didn't work and you can confirm its not the SIM card damaged.. You could always flash a different radio in recovery or return to stock 4.4.4 via factory image to verify its not the software it'll also flash the latest stock radio.
Unfortunately my pc doesn't work, so I can't do nothing for now, there are other things that I can try?

Of course you can restore the nandroid. I'd do a full wipe first just to make sure everything is cleaned up.

Ok, now I try to do wipe cache, wipe dalvik cache, wipe data wipe system and then a restore, thanks.

The nandroid doesn't work... There is anything else that I can do?

Flash the factory image in fastboot and see if that solves the problem. If it doesn't it could be a hardware issue.
Edit, I see you don't have a pc Can you borrow one?
Sent from my Nexus 5 using XDA Free mobile app
Today I'm gonna send it to repair, I hope that I can have the pc as soon as possible...
Anyway, in the hardware problem case, can I send it to LG?
I don't have the Google warranty...

Also tried to flash the rom's update, but it still the same.
So my last hope is to flash the factory image, but I have no pc at the moment.

Install Philz Touch. Wipe all partitions and flash vomer's stock 4.4.4 rom via recovery. This should be enough in most cases to rule out a software issue. But I agree, fastboot cleaning has solved my problems which recovery wipes couldn't!
Ok, thanks for the suggestion, I'll try it when I recover my pc
