FpseCE Problem: it doesn't work :(

Hi all,
that's my problem: FpseCE doesn't work
after installed the last version (0.10) i tried to run 3 games, but everytime the program crashes when
i select a game.
Also, i read that the first time you run the program, a popup appears for letting you to setup the joypad,
but i did not happen to me.
What's Wrong?
ps: i put also the ini file "scph1001" in the Bios folder, but nothing is changed
pss: i've an image of a game with 2 files: ".bin" and ".cue". What can i do to corvert it?

free version or supported one?

free one! is it a problem? '

concerning the bios file, you have to set it also in the fpse.ini
concerning the iso, that's ok, you can compress it via pocketIso
concerning the free version, you won't be able to do many things with this version whereas the supported is great...
but I can't tel you if the pb comes from the version...

Installing Chainfires drivers isn't necessary in order for Fpsece to work. Try just starting Fpsece without selecting a Rom (just hit cancel, when the rom selection comes up), so you can rule out a problem with Fpsece itself. If it boots up fine, I suspect you have a problem with your Rom's and try some others.
Which games are you trying to play anyway?

i started FpseCE, hit cancel.
If i try to lock the Phone, the screen goes off but when touch the screen the light turn on. i Need to reset the Phone for fixing the problem.
I've the latest official Rom Version, with some reg tweaks. Could they give problems? '

if u want fpsece to work properly on HD2 u have to donate and get the supported version, after u install it there is a pack especially for HD2 on their forum, u have to download it and replace the files with the downloaded ones...
thats it, fpsece runs perfect....

I think the patch is mandatory if you want to set GFXDRV = 4 in the ini file...

mmm ok.

That's not true at all, as I run with GFXDRV set at 4. I'm not saying Chainfire's driver is useless it may improve performance but it's not required to get Fpsece working. Neither is the supported version required in order for Fpsece to work, however I would defo recommend donating to get it, as the free version is really just a demonstration of what Fpsece could do and the performance of the free version is rubbish .
There is clearly something else going on with pierluigi.rovere's phone.
We could do with knowing what else you have on your phone, any mods/tweaks.
pierluigi.rovere, as suggested before post the settings of your fpsece.ini. I would also suggest posting your problems on the Fpsece forums, as they will have more experience in helping you resolve this issue.
Update: Actually did some checking, you can't use [email protected] in the free version , so if you have that set change it to 2 and see if that helps.

THIS ROM MAKES THIS PAD ROCK NOW
For now its back to using IUW to do either one of the versions..
you will also need to have done a U-BOOT-NAND upgrade at some stage.. and need to be showing at least uboot - 0.6.1.5 (587) at bootup at the right hand bottom of our screen.. if you dont have this then you will need to do it..

CONFIRMED #3925 2.2 v2.1 bootable sd install. One step process. Great job!
(for those wondering I have 6.1.5 (559) uboot so any at that or later should be allright)
EDIT: IF you have at least 6.1.5 (559[or higher]) showing on the Infotmic screen when booting you should be able to 1) download the .img file at the link above, 2) burn the .img file to an sd card using win32diskimager (or winhex), and 3) insert the sd card into slot between 2 usb ports while booting to update to 2.2 v2.1.
PS Not only does camera still work clearly for me on 559, camcorder records now.

Use IUW to make a bootable sdcard.. this is first version.. still stable, it is posted for those that dont want to go straight in to flashing a unwrapped image file.. if you use the instructions you should be able to just dump/flash this to your usual bootable sdcard.. stick it in the top slot and it will upgrade to this version.. no usb needed.. (note.. you will still have needed to have upgraded your "u-boot" at some stage... read further down for this..

Bugs so far.. will update as the forum grows so that we have a reference page at the front.. saves a lot of reading later if this grows too much..

1: Ndrive does not work in this version
2: Small amount of people experience has Wifi connection/dropout problems - yet to find a fix..
Also no confirmed tests on Ethernet connections as yet - will confirm once we get some feed back - I am in Singapore airport and wasn't able to use the the Ethernet plugin for net.. so will check it out over the next few days as I will be in different Hotels so can test connections on the road
3: No apps2sd --- hope some one smarts finds a work around.. it would be killer if we could redirect some of the apps to see the SD1
A note on this...
in 2.2 V1.8 the file structure is sdcard local ram storage.... and ... SD1 - sdcard storage.. and SD2 -
in 2.2 V2.1 file structure is Local ram storage... and SDcard 1 and 2
both are locked in to using the local partitions for program storage and program data storage..
Which is a shame as things like ebooks and heavy graphic programs it would be nice to send the storage to SD1 or 2

In this rom i see one bug. I am can't explore my SD card that content two partitions - Linux swap partition and FAT partition. After remove the swap partition, i can see the card in file manager.

Yes..I had that problem too..as tried to set a cache Linux as well..had a God arwful time with it..I think it is something to do with how they have setup the drives for the internal ram on the pad..
Hopefully one of the guru's will grab this then work out how we can get real apps2sd..then we will be laughing..

I installed this official Froyo too. It's very, very fast, more than all the different firmware tested from here!
Some remarks/questions:
- The camera is not working anymore, the preview screen shows green or sometime other colors...
- A lot of apps are pre-installed, meaning that it is impossible to update them (Dolphin Browser, Skype, Facebook etc...)
- Is it possible to install Flash Player on it? Will it work? Does anybody tried?
- Is it possible to overclock the Flytouch2 with this rom? Is the kernel overclockable?

I have installed this new firme and i have a problem with the wifi. You turn off continuously and lasts very little connected. I have configured with fixed ip and wpa encryption.

- The camera does not work properly. I fixed the camera by replacing u-boot-nand.bin. Currently I have version 0.6.1.2 (587)
- Failure to sync contacts and calendar.
Market and Google Maps in this version work properly.

perhaps you have memories of the fw 2852. this fw had camera-problem too

This verision is awesome, having problems rooting it, have tried z4root and universal android root also, anyone have a solution for this. also having problems with market, not showing alot of apps, mostly Chinese and no google navigation

After trying a few flash websites, I noticed that Flash Player is ON BOARD in this Froyo ROM!
But colors are something between colored and black&white...and crash in fullscreen mode.
The colors issue has been fixed on the new Flytouch (512Mb RAM) - the following quotation from Androidtablets.net explains how to proceed:

I have tested this on my ft2v2 with TCH rom 0419, and it mostly worked! Flash now played with correct colours and almost no lag once buffered. It did however crash when I attempted to go full screen, so not perfect yet. Opera mini and Maxthon Browser use the youtube app for youtube website if you have it installed. This works excelently. Flash worked well on other flash websites, I tried an emag site and it loaded where it would not before.

2) Reboot Flytouch

I tried to find the file \system\app\install-flash-player.apk but it doesn't exist in our 256Mb Flytouch...so I directly installed the new Flash Player from the link above but nothing changed with the Flash videos colors, even after a restart.
Does anyone know how to properly install this new version of Flash Player???!!!

[Q] samurai vengence II Problems

I have installed chainfire 3d as directed in the other post for the XT720 and it loads but when i goto play it sends me back to my launcher. Is anyone having this problem if so has it been fixed? I am run miui rom beta 5

I found this in the development section by khal, and it fixed my problem.
"I moved 01_minfree from /system/etc/init.d to /system/etc/ and the amount of avilable RAM seems to be lower..."

Darn, doesn't work for me. Tried moving, deleting, reflashing, redownloading 2 different apk's. nothing works. Any advice much appreciated!

And here is the detailed guide on installing and setting up Chainfire 3D Pro to play Tegra Zone Games on non Tegra devices.
1.The first step is to make sure that your Android phone has at least 1.0 GHz processor and is S-Off, rooted with Recovery installed.
2.Now download and install Chainfire 3D Pro version from Android Market on your phone.
3.Once the installation is complete, download this Plug-ins.rar file file. This archive contains the plugin that’s needed to enable Tegra Zone gaming on your Non Tegra2 device.
4.After this connect your phone to the computer, mount SD Card as disk drive and copy libGLEMU_NVIDIA.zip from plug-ins.rar archive you downloaded earlier.
5.Once done, tap on CF3D app icon on your homescreen.
6.After the app launches, tap on CF3D Driver and select Install Plugin.
7.Now in the resulting pop up radio button menu, tap on NVIDIA.
8.Now CF3D will attempt to install the required driver and reboot if installation is successful.

I installed Samurai using my miui backup no problem so something is wrong with your phone v2 setup, not v2 maybe if you reflash? And try installing it first after?

You could use any version you like.
I see there's been an update of Polaris in late March or early April or so, so I'll post the newer version: 4.0.5033.00-FJ13. Just install it as a simple APK without any additional files and permission settings - it works perfectly without

I've downloaded it and installed, apparently everything worked fine.
But when I open it, I get the initial splash screen and then it FC with an error.
Shall I do anything special when installing?
I'm running Sentinel ROM 5.00 on my Samsung Galaxy S2

It's not a simple apk as the previous poster thought. There are 2 or 3 /system/lib files that go with it. After you copy the .so files into system/lib, make sure you set the permissions the same as the other lib files in that folder.
The reason you got the FC, is because of the missing lib files. Check my post earlier, as the link to it contains all files. After you get it running, make sure you set your security settings to "install non market apps". Polaris doesn't user android market, and in a few days it will want to update you to the newer version when you open the program.

I copied the 3 .so files contained in your post. I also removed the Polaris version I had already installed and then installed the version contained in your zip.
I made sure to set the permissions as the other files in the Lin directory, but when I run Polaris I still get the force close after the splsplashash screen.
Is there anything else I'm missing? Could it be that this version of Polaris is not the correct one to run on the smartphone (somewhere in the apk name it's saying is a tablet)?

I made sure to set the permissions as the other files in the Lin directory, but when I run Polaris I still get the force close after the splsplashash screen.
Is there anything else I'm missing? Could it be that this version of Polaris is not the correct one to run on the smartphone (somewhere in the apk name it's saying is a tablet)?

Aha... and that is probably the issue. As far as I know, Polaris only came with Tablets. At one time a long time ago, they used to be on the Play Store (old Market) They went private about 3 years ago, and as far as I know, they ship exclusively to Tablets only. First it was Asus, but now a lot of tablets.

Nope, Polaris is also working on smartphones, as it comes embedded in the stock Galaxy S2/S3/S4 phones.
In fact I just wanted to replace it on my S2 because I installed a custom ROM but that Polaris app was quite useful.
I found a link in another thread on XDA, that has the Polaris 5 apk. I installed it and it works like a charm, no need to edit/install any other file.

ok i check it and it's because of Compiler that i use (LLVM 6.0) that not supported in OS X 10.9 (only 10.10) so I'm really sorry please wait a little until i upload a new build

finally I updated the application to run on the OS X 10.9 (Mavericks) , you can find a Download Link on the first post ! :good::fingers-crossed:

Finally it's working !!! Great job for this. btw if you can make a function to uninstall the wtg from gear i will love it

in nomarly just rename wgt package to zip package and unzip it and read the xml file and you will see the app - id

really ? but 10.9.4 is same with 10.9.3 (that i tested and worked correctly) make sure you have not deleted the "/GearManager" or "/GearManager/Musics/" folder on your main partition (Macintosh HD) or try to remove the "/GearManager" folder on your mac and then run application again and hit install sdb

I'm not the author of the app, but I doubt the tool could do it automatically without an exploit. But a semi-automatic version could be possible - Would a step by step instructions help you though? i.e
0) automatically download the rooted rom
1) hold down home button until you see rebooting screen
2) tap home button 3 times
3) tap home button until you select download
however at step 4 we run into a problem, this is where Odin usually comes to play (windows only) - the crossplatform version uses a tool heimdall, which requires a PIT file. Unfortunately it doesn't seem to be easy to get, I made another thread on that.
So yes it should be possible to do this semi-automatic version, just requires some work.

I have the same here, OS X 10.9.4, i changed nothing, the watch is connected on usb, i tryied with USB debugg mode on and off, nothine happens when i click on open widget filder or anything else...
I didn't change anything since the installation...

it seem this app does not make the folder structure during the installation.
but if i make a folder called "GearManager" in my Macintosh HD and re-install the app it builds them.
