THIS IS A DMA WIFI HERO BUILD:
Thanks goto addisu and dzo for getting a working Wifi module and all the hard working developers who get Android ported to the various devices.
Thanks to JAC for making the base rom (JACHeroski1.6)
This pack was tested and worked before uploading!
Directions:
0) If you have a data.img delete it first!
1) Copy all files from "Required" to the root of your memory card. I recommend at-least a 512mb.
2) Launch haret and click "Run"
2.1) You will need to wait for the data.img (data store) to be created, this takes around 2 minutes. This stores your files.
3) It takes sometime to get to the setup screen. If the screen turns off, just turn it back on. It will come up.
4) Go through the intro of Android (you only do this once)
The first 3 steps get you into Android
The following gets you Wifi (Kaiser/Tilt only)
* In this build, you can now select your WiFi in the setup.
In side Android:
1) Bring the menu up
2) Goto settings
3) Go to Settings -> Wireless Controls then click "Wi-fi" wait until there is a check
4) Select your network under Wi-Fi Settings
6) Make sure you save your "calibration" file and keep a copy of it save so you can just move it to future builds.
House cleaning:
I did not develop any of this kit, I simply put the pieces together and made them available in an easy to use package.

Well, the previous one is not for strictly a build, its more for the wikis and stuff. This thread is strictly for downloading a complete package.

Trying to follow the steps when i type "su"
i get "uid 10027 not allowed to su" , I did a search for this phrase and the only hit i got was the same error, but person asking was ignored.
Any ideas on how to get around this?
I'm running on a Tilt.

Some additional points:
1) Ensure you're getting the file from the rapidshare link. I tried the latest build from the project site (android-1.5-2009-08-04.zip) and I never managed to extract the calibration file
2) There's a hero build here (http://drop.io/calibrationfiles) but I would suggest to get the calibration file out 1st before trying the hero build. It seems that you wont be able to access the terminal easily from Hero builds... (Maybe it's just me)
What works and not in the Android build (non-hero):-
1) Browser works
2) Market works
3) Google Sync works
4) Google maps does not work

yes it is, android is starting to need a forum all to itself, or you can look at it like this if the android threads are builds from diff "android chefs" then it would be no different than multiple rom threads for diff chefs or diff wm versions.

Wifi is working great, Tested on an AT&T tilt with no SIM card inserted. Was able to connect to the internet, download from the market, etc.

How do I get SIM to work and get the phone signal?

Paradox: You forgot to mention about rebooting the phone after running getrom.txt as per your instruction in the zip file.

Is it reasonably responsive on your kaiser? I tried one build of it today, and it was awful. I mean all the features are cool, but no amount of features can replace responsivness...

The Hero UI works. Its just not that fast. I can vouch for that. I dont know how he has wifi working on it. I could have sworn the driver had to be cooked into the system.img

THIS ROM MAKES THIS PAD ROCK NOW
For now its back to using IUW to do either one of the versions..
you will also need to have done a U-BOOT-NAND upgrade at some stage.. and need to be showing at least uboot - 0.6.1.5 (587) at bootup at the right hand bottom of our screen.. if you dont have this then you will need to do it..

CONFIRMED #3925 2.2 v2.1 bootable sd install. One step process. Great job!
(for those wondering I have 6.1.5 (559) uboot so any at that or later should be allright)
EDIT: IF you have at least 6.1.5 (559[or higher]) showing on the Infotmic screen when booting you should be able to 1) download the .img file at the link above, 2) burn the .img file to an sd card using win32diskimager (or winhex), and 3) insert the sd card into slot between 2 usb ports while booting to update to 2.2 v2.1.
PS Not only does camera still work clearly for me on 559, camcorder records now.

Use IUW to make a bootable sdcard.. this is first version.. still stable, it is posted for those that dont want to go straight in to flashing a unwrapped image file.. if you use the instructions you should be able to just dump/flash this to your usual bootable sdcard.. stick it in the top slot and it will upgrade to this version.. no usb needed.. (note.. you will still have needed to have upgraded your "u-boot" at some stage... read further down for this..

What I really like with this release is that swedish language is included (was missing in all updates after 1623) and ofcourse that it's Froyo!
To get Titanium Backup to work you will have to copy your old TitaniumBackup folder from the SD card to the new created when you installed TitaniumBackup, after that TitaniumBackup will find all your backuped apps.
It seems like both Flytouch2 and Flytouch3 are at version #3925, maybe the are compiling new versions for both pads at the same time now, so we can count on a new version when Flytouch3 gets one?

NOTE: do not use the update software on the pad even through it says there is an update available.. it will take you back to firmware: 2.1-update1 V1.8#2752

Bugs so far.. will update as the forum grows so that we have a reference page at the front.. saves a lot of reading later if this grows too much..
Please report your bugs and we can get people to work out fix's for you..
1: Ndrive does not work in this version
2: Small amount of people experience has Wifi connection/dropout problems - yet to find a fix..
Also no confirmed tests on Ethernet connections as yet - will confirm once we get some feed back - I am in Singapore airport and wasn't able to use the the Ethernet plugin for net.. so will check it out over the next few days as I will be in different Hotels so can test connections on the road
3: No apps2sd --- hope some one smarts finds a work around.. it would be killer if we could redirect some of the apps to see the SD1
A note on this...
in 2.2 V1.8 the file structure is sdcard local ram storage.... and ... SD1 - sdcard storage.. and SD2 -
in 2.2 V2.1 file structure is Local ram storage... and SDcard 1 and 2
both are locked in to using the local partitions for program storage and program data storage..
Which is a shame as things like ebooks and heavy graphic programs it would be nice to send the storage to SD1 or 2

In this rom i see one bug. I am can't explore my SD card that content two partitions - Linux swap partition and FAT partition. After remove the swap partition, i can see the card in file manager.

Yes..I had that problem too..as tried to set a cache Linux as well..had a God arwful time with it..I think it is something to do with how they have setup the drives for the internal ram on the pad..
Hopefully one of the guru's will grab this then work out how we can get real apps2sd..then we will be laughing..

I installed this official Froyo too. It's very, very fast, more than all the different firmware tested from here!
Some remarks/questions:
- The camera is not working anymore, the preview screen shows green or sometime other colors...
- A lot of apps are pre-installed, meaning that it is impossible to update them (Dolphin Browser, Skype, Facebook etc...)
- Is it possible to install Flash Player on it? Will it work? Does anybody tried?
- Is it possible to overclock the Flytouch2 with this rom? Is the kernel overclockable?

I have installed this new firme and i have a problem with the wifi. You turn off continuously and lasts very little connected. I have configured with fixed ip and wpa encryption.

- The camera does not work properly. I fixed the camera by replacing u-boot-nand.bin. Currently I have version 0.6.1.2 (587)
- Failure to sync contacts and calendar.
Market and Google Maps in this version work properly.

perhaps you have memories of the fw 2852. this fw had camera-problem too

This verision is awesome, having problems rooting it, have tried z4root and universal android root also, anyone have a solution for this. also having problems with market, not showing alot of apps, mostly Chinese and no google navigation

I used UniversalAndroot-1.6.2-beta5. The first time did not work the second time worked.

After trying a few flash websites, I noticed that Flash Player is ON BOARD in this Froyo ROM!
But colors are something between colored and black&white...and crash in fullscreen mode.
The colors issue has been fixed on the new Flytouch (512Mb RAM) - the following quotation from Androidtablets.net explains how to proceed:

I have tested this on my ft2v2 with TCH rom 0419, and it mostly worked! Flash now played with correct colours and almost no lag once buffered. It did however crash when I attempted to go full screen, so not perfect yet. Opera mini and Maxthon Browser use the youtube app for youtube website if you have it installed. This works excelently. Flash worked well on other flash websites, I tried an emag site and it loaded where it would not before.
Here is the new apk: Adobe flash for flytouch3.rar (Thanks koti)

Install:
1) use Root Explorer to rename file \system\app\install-flash-player.apk to .old
2) Reboot Flytouch
3) Install the above .apk
I tried youtube and also some eMag sites.
NOTE: This is now included in Tim's ROMS 3b and 3c.

I tried to find the file \system\app\install-flash-player.apk but it doesn't exist in our 256Mb Flytouch...so I directly installed the new Flash Player from the link above but nothing changed with the Flash videos colors, even after a restart.
Does anyone know how to properly install this new version of Flash Player???!!!

Still failing me the wifi. Automatically I hold a more function, but is still cutting. Before I had the firm 3245 and it worked fine. So I'm going to return to this firm.

3.Enable the prevent relock option in wp7 root tools
4.Update to 7.10.8860.142 using cabsender
5.When finished install 7.10.8862.144 using cabsender.

New features in 7.10.8862.144 are
Lock screen. Improves the lock screen experience with accidental wipe protection features and the Bing image of the day wallpaper.
Marketplace and Xbox. Expands Windows Phone Marketplace and Xbox support to new countries and regions.
Fonts. Enhances the Chinese font and improves the appearance of Arabic and other languages.
Other improvements. Includes many other improvements to Windows Phone.

BEFORE STARTING I STRONGLY RECOMMEND MAKING A BACKUP.. YOU DONT HAVE TO BUT AS I SAID I RECOMMEND IT

Kali NetHunter ported!

Hi people! before writing i wish to say sorry for my english. I'm from Argentina, i trying (and works!) port Kali NetHunter to my N900T but this works in other models. If any don't know what are visit official site clicking here.
I ported this using files from Nexus 5 and this works, i don't know how make a zip to flash from recovery but i make a simple script for install this from console with Terminal Emulator and this works.
I put all in a zip file, and put the instructions here for install :laugh:
First, the NetHunter apk is version 1.0 but Kali NetHunter files are latest version, this is possible update in console. A bug that i find is menu in console that in options dont works (wifite for example) but in console typing "wifite" works perfect (see screenshots below).
The steps are easy, extract zip file in same folder in /sdcard for example and install apks (all apps are in aplicaciones.tar.gz). Install Terminal Emulator, NetHunter Launcher and in terminal type:

chmod 777 instalar
sh instalar
Wait and open Kali NetHunter Launcher and nothing more than test this! :silly:

yes, you need OTG cable with USB wifi. Dont works with integrated chipset.

Perfect! Yes! With Hacker's keyboard is easy to use but with Samsung keyboard is possible use Ctrl + C with combination keys: VOL- (pressed) and C.

Do you need to extract the archives in the "nethunter.ported.zip" too? Or do I leave it as for example "bin.zip" or "sdcard.tar.gz" ? Because I get tar error after I type in everything you said in Terminal Emulator

Extract nethunter.ported.zip (that have aplicaciones.tar
gz, bin.zip, etc. But dont extract this) in for example /sdcard/kali. The folder for example is:
- kali
- aplicaciones.tar.gz
- data.zip
- system.zip
- bin.zip
- kalifs.tar.bz2
- instalar
With this execute 'sh instalar' and wait. Always write 'su' first and write the next commands.

i successfully installed the .zip using sh instalar command but I don't know if i picked the right question? i picked [N]one but the file or kali launcher didn't open or showed up i even tried using [A]all and still can't executed.

and by the way i didnt got any error during the installation. im using norma rom v13 and shinto kernel like yours but mine is 5.1.1.

1. Backup your data
2. Fully power off your phone
3. Power your phone up while pressing Volume Up and Power at the same time
4. With the volume buttons navigate to "Apply update from ADB"
5. Press power to select that option
6. Decompress ADB folder anywhere and also script in the same folder
7. Download ZIP from Samsung and rename to update.zip or just update if your extensions are hidden
8. Connect phone to PC
9. Run script wait and enjoy

Yes, eye comfort. To me it worked only after a clear data on its specific app.
I am not fully understand why whatsapp is showing my old notifications style while Telegram shows better looking extending popus at the top. How to make whatsapp do the same?

Did you clear CACHE on Recovery mode? maybe that helps

basically you need to download all files and put them together in one folder Zip from samsung on beta 2 it's actually a onedrive link when you download the file it will be called ZVH4-TO-ZVHK.zip basically you need to right click on it and rename it to update.zip because the script it's designed to flash and update file only called update.zip i tried to make it easier this way so people don't need to mess with command line!
