FPS Capped to 62? Any way around this?? - HTC Sensation

Hi as it states the FPS seems to be capped at 62 using quadrant, I was wondering if anyone knew where i could turn the fps limit off?
I believe its capping my true Quadrant score as when its doing 3d benchmarks it stays flat at 62...

yes would be nice ,... on evo 3d they managed something like disabling v-sync
wonder if this would possible for sensation

Correct me if I'm wrong, but some other phones are also capped at 60 fps. That's because the screen is 60 Hz and there would be no point increasing fps
Swyped from my HTC Sensation

But if that really is the case than my Computer monitor only supports 72hz max.I get over 300fps on Counter-strike:Source, In theory i can only get 72fps but i dont.I get over 400% more

Android Display Driver

I've been wanting to ask this question quite for some time but I always forgot. I have been using capychimp's capyslide for the past day, previously I was on offical rogers. I found that games have about 6-10 fps more in capyslide.
Some games actually become playable with capyslide.
So my question si why is that? Are the capyslide display drivers better optimized?
And, if we could implement this in other roms? Is there any chance to get somehow even more fps?
And just for example:
Offical rogers: Neocore: 20-24 fps, Quake 2: 4-7 fps, Quadrant 2D: 176 3D: 218
Capyslide: Neocore: 28-30 fps, Quake 2: 8-14fps, Quadrant 2D: 260 3D: 239
good question I think i know the awnser there is a app wich consumes batttery and is anoying, the cyanbot (something like that , has a blue icon) Is always running at 4% CPU speed, diference must come from that i guess. I deleted it my phone was great

[Q] Quadrant scores have changed after dropping phone.

After dropping my phone onto concrete without a cover from a height of about 1 meter (3.3 ft), I've noticed that the FPS in the quadrant tests have changed.
It used to show 40 to 70 fps for all visual tests, but now for two of them the FPS has dropped to 5 to 15 (while the others remain unchanged).
My quadrant score has also decreased about 200.
I'm not sure if it's just me or a quadrant update or something, but has anyone else experienced this?
it is impossible
you thought
all good with you device
Do you remember the bit in terminator 2 where Robert Patric stabs Arnie through the chest with a long iron pole, and his machine glowing red eye just flickers and fizzles out? But soon after he re-routes power and comes back to life? Well, your phone just needs a vacation.
Sent from my SNES
200 points isnt a decrease. i can vary in a run of quadrants by more than 1500 points. 200 points is nothing. have you flashed/updated a rom/kernel lately?
You used to get 70 FPS on NS? :O i thought it was limited to 65

[Q] Overclocking and FPS

Since Imnuts' latest kernel release and nitro's eclipse I've been none stop playing with my phone just like the day I got it. Anyways, I've overclocked the cpu to 1.3ghz. Very stable and no issues with stability. However I been using Quadrant to monitor changes I make and the impact it has on the phone. It seems to me when I overclock (any frequency) my FPS on my 2D drop way low and the 3D also drops. This significantly reduces the score of quadrant. I know quadrant doesn't mean anything but FPS difference means something. Also, upon investigating, I found if I change the govenor it also has an impact on the FPS. What is happening here and why?
thanks for any imput!

[Q] Overheating Issues

My Z3 gets to 70 degrees C when playing an intensive game or using the 4k video option is this normal? Anyone have the same issue?
Even when just taking a few pics on a hot day the phone gets super hot and camera app shuts down due to overheating after 5 minutes of picture taking.
I use CurrentWidget apk that show battery temp. I don't know how accurate it is but in plaing 3d games, the highest temp was about 45 degree C. Ambiental temp about 20-22 degrees C (indoors).
Cheers!

Hi, that is battery temp. I am talking about actual CPU temp. Can you install A1 CPU tool from the playstore and see if you get the same as me.
Just shot 3 mins of 4k video and then went straight to the app and it told me 66 degrees C
pls see if what your temp is with the same
Now my phone is charging but later I will try what you said!
No flagship CPU can sustain maximum load for long before entering thermal throttling in a device with a phone form factor.
If you want sustained peak performance, you've got two options:
1) Buy a device with a more power efficient CPU (Snapdragon 4xx family) - peak performance will be far lower, but performance per watt will be vastly improved.
2) Buy a tablet - even the worst of these have better thermal management than any phones. Some devices are unambiguously superior - SHIELD Portable (not a tablet) actually had a fan on its heatsink and I believe THREE 18650 batteries, SHIELD Tablet has a phase-change thermal spreader I believe.

10 Mbit/s for 720p
20 Mbit/s for 720p and 60 fps
50 Mbit/s Full HD and 60 fps
So should be able to stream 720p and 60 fps.
yeah i read that some where but was just checking if that was true in real life mate
