I'm new here, so I don't really know if this topic should be here.
So here is my problem, i got a lg optimus 2x p999 from eBay and its locked.
Then I bought an unlocking code for the phone, I tried several times (i think it was 6 times, don't remember very well), and was chatting with the person that sold me the code, he said that my phone could hard-locked from the seller.
I want to know if there is a way to unlock this phone, its carrier is T-mobile.
I'm very sad right now, first time scammed from eBay
Please if there is way to unlock my phone, help me!
I'm really desperate.
dude which phone is it the g2x (p999) or the optimus 2x (p990) .....u dont even know what model u got smh

Hi. Last month I bought a LG Fathom (which is a Verizon phone). It is a WM 6.5.3 phone and supports both CDMA and GSM, it has both MEID and IMEI number. In the past month, I ordered many unlock codes from different sellers but they couldn't find it. I need to find that 8 digit unlock I'm ready to pay anything to unlock my phone, so if you even know something like "Octopus Box" for LG Fathom, I will be very happy to learn that. Please share any of your opinion with me, I really need your help to unlock that phone.

I also bought a lg fathom what vs750 told to activate it themselves. I do not live in the U.S.. how to unlock and activate this?

There are sites selling unlock codes for lg optimus 2x and they seem to work for people, I am thinking that it might work for G2X as its the same hardware, but different software?
What do you guys think?

I still think it is carrier dependent (don't you remember you're asked which carrier version the phone is?).
If the unlocking has O2x for T-Mobile USA, it'll surely be for G2x.
I have recently bought LG optimus Lte 6200 with 2.3.5 anroid. I dont have sim in it and I dont know its unlocked or locked phone. I bought it second hand and it LG u+ phone, from korea. Now, the phone has the wrong time in its status bar, but correct time in the time apps. How can I know my phone is unlocked or locked, If locked how can I unlock, and how to rectify the time problem.
Please help me...
Hey guys, I'm a complete noob when it comes to phones, so sorry if this is too basic of a question. I don't really know where else to get a direct answer:
My LG G3 (LS990) is dead. Like straight up dead. I made a post about it here, but I'm fully anticipating that I won't be get much help. That being said, I've pretty much resolved in myself to bite the bullet and get a new phone. Now, my LG G3 was purchased through Sprint, and the new phone I plan on getting, the LG G4, will also be the Sprint model.
My question is this: can I use the SIM card in the LG G3 with the G4 and have it be able to make phone calls? Or would I need to take the phone to Sprint and have them activate it?

First of all, I am a noob here trying to get help with a phone I bought off Ebay. I currently am with Verizon Prepaid and thought this phone I bought would work, but the service is shotty.
Phone is an LG V30+ Thin Q running on software US99830b. Model# LG-US998 and was told it was factory unlocked. I hope I am providing enough detail. I have searched and since this is all new to me I want to make sure I get the steps right.
I am trying to get this phone to work on Verizon network, especially Verizon Prepaid if it can be done, because Verizon themselves told me the phone wasn't compatible. I have found some threads regarding this and I think I have the answer, but want to make sure and hear it from the experts themselves.
