My phone isn't able to send any SMS messages. I can make calls and use data but texts "send" but never get to anyone. I also don't receive texts as well. My Google voice account also won't load any texts after I login, the inbox is just blank.

Bump, this is really becoming an issue, I have no idea what I need to do to fix it. I tried rolling back to an older recovery but it still persists with this. :\
Try reentering SMSC in *#*#4636#*#*.

Look up my thread SMS Messages received but not sent FIX. I cover the SMS issues there with detailed instructions on how to fix it.

Turns out it was Google voice. My number was in limbo apparently. Sprint actually fixed it pretty quick today.

Has anyone gotten Sprint VVM to work on Cyanogen? I installed the .apk and although I believe it was working, for some reason it stopped, and I am also not getting voicemail notifications. I just decided to call myself today because when I long-pressed one it wouldnt work, and realized I had 9 voicemails. Anyone have a solution?
You should use google voice

Tried, couldn't set up the voicemail. Just hangs up when I dial that number.
That's what its supposed to do.

It tells me to call some * number, but when I dial it, it hangs up and still says I have not activated it.
There's a post in another sub-forum with a download to get it:

I tried it on my EVO and it works fine (You'll probably want the recommended app to block the annoying messages too)
I have a friend in Arizona with an iPhone 3G on AT&T's network. I have a Nexus S on T-Mobile in Oregon. When he sends me texts, I receive them normally. When I send texts to him, though, they never go through. Does anyone have insight to share on this problem, or a potential solution?
Second try.
Which cellphone number are you trying to call? Did you verify if it is the same as the message sender?

It's all in the same conversation thread, and I only have the one number for him; I don't know where else it could be going.
On my nokia e71 you could send a mms without attaching anything to it. I sometimes need to send long text messages and when doing it through the default messaging app it won't let me select just a text mms and I haven't found any third party apps that will let me do it either. People are receiving my long texts as 7 or more texts and they don't come through in order. I figured it would auto convert it to mms but it doesn't.
Is this possible?

I though I had it figured out with gosms but that was a dead end.

Since I had the phone on Thursday everything was fine. I've been using 8sms messaging app and I was able to send and receive pictures. But on Monday all my mms speed coming through. All I get is the notification that there is an mms waiting (see picture). And it's not just for pictures but even if I send a mass text message to a couple people and someone replies it comes back as a mms and even that won't come through, after I click the "download" button it just says "couldn't download message no subject from (senders name)". I'm on a T-Mobile family plan.

will they come through in the hangouts app?
Seems no, I changed my default messaging app back to hangout and had a friend send me a picture, she says she sent two but nothing came through not even the notification like in the above screenshot.

Oh wow - I have to say this is really dumb, I just changed my default to making app to textra and all the pictures/ mms I had waiting came through in the textra app. Still nothing through hangouts and 8sms...

I had this issue a few phones ago with Tmobile. I had to call and add MMS to my account even though it's free. Might not still be that way but worth a call.
Well it works with the textra app but not with hangouts or 8sms.

I was having the same problem with AT&T Nexus 5, installed Textra and all seems to be fine. Thank you , Thank you, Thank you!

So, unlocked running multiple different ROMs I've noticed that I'm no longer receiving texts. Sometimes they all come in later in the day in a big batch. I am on Sprint and using the Google voice integration. If I install the Google voice app I can get my texts right away in that app but not coming through hangouts. Anyone have any experience with this or any ideas? I've flashed back to stock, but still unlocked and rooted... No change. Thanks in advance for any ideas.

Tried using chomp SMS, no change. Also, MMS appears to be unaffected.

I had this issue my first day with my Nexus... I found that toggling my mobile network between global and LTE fixed it. Then I updated profile and PRL and it hasn't happened since
