Has anyone gotten Sprint VVM to work on Cyanogen? I installed the .apk and although I believe it was working, for some reason it stopped, and I am also not getting voicemail notifications. I just decided to call myself today because when I long-pressed one it wouldnt work, and realized I had 9 voicemails. Anyone have a solution?
You should use google voice

Tried, couldn't set up the voicemail. Just hangs up when I dial that number.
That's what its supposed to do.

It tells me to call some * number, but when I dial it, it hangs up and still says I have not activated it.
There's a post in another sub-forum with a download to get it:

I tried it on my EVO and it works fine (You'll probably want the recommended app to block the annoying messages too)

Hi guys. Does anyone know where to get Google voice lite? I install Google voice from the market and during setup it yells me my carrier is not supported. Any help would be great. Thanks.

There is no lite version it is a voicemail replacement app,so if it said not compatible with your provider thn you can't use it. Sorry.

It's just saying that it cant automatically set up the no answer transfer to divert calls from verizon's voicemail system to GV. You can do that manually.

Thanks so much!

My phone isn't able to send any SMS messages. I can make calls and use data but texts "send" but never get to anyone. I also don't receive texts as well. My Google voice account also won't load any texts after I login, the inbox is just blank.

Bump, this is really becoming an issue, I have no idea what I need to do to fix it. I tried rolling back to an older recovery but it still persists with this. :\
Try reentering SMSC in *#*#4636#*#*.

Look up my thread SMS Messages received but not sent FIX. I cover the SMS issues there with detailed instructions on how to fix it.

Turns out it was Google voice. My number was in limbo apparently. Sprint actually fixed it pretty quick today.

Not sure if anyone can answer this, but it's there a way to enable notifications for voicemail in Valhalla Black Final? I just randomly checked my voicemail today and I had 5 new ones but no notification in the bar on top or in the notification menu...
My initial thought was a bad flash... tried reflashing. Followed the Op to the T... still nothing... am I doing something wrong?

Your doing nothing wrong, the gs4g requires the visual voicemail app in order to display notifications. This has actually been discussed in the Valhalla Black q&a thread. Just download the app from the market.
I learned that the hard way way back when I first rooted and uninstalled bloatware.

I did not know that...
I've actually never set up visual vm... I was actually talking about regular voicemail notification

I'm sure he was aware of that. However, the regular voice mail notifications require the visual voice mail app to be installed but not necessarily configured. Install the app and things should work fine.
I had that problem way back with Black Ice, but started using google voice and have had no issues since...
This is why I love xda... and I'm glad I asked this in q&a and not the dev thread...
And that solved that... thanks again.

Hello. I have this big question. It's burning my insides. My voicemail notification keeps telling me I have a voicemail. Yet I call and it tells me there is none. At all, and Its making me mad as hell. And yes I trolled the hell out of the internet to find a solution... only found a temporary one which is clear the phone app data. Which the notification reappears reappears after a random reboot. So I come to you with my problem, asking you how the funk do I fix this shizzle.

Try leaving yourself a voicemail from another phone, then listening to it.
Also, in dialer, press menu button to go to settings then set back your voicemail number to your number. That can also help.
Voicemail notification (icon) is carrier related/supported. Call your carrier to check/complain.
Manage application /all/phone, clear data & cache.

So, unlocked running multiple different ROMs I've noticed that I'm no longer receiving texts. Sometimes they all come in later in the day in a big batch. I am on Sprint and using the Google voice integration. If I install the Google voice app I can get my texts right away in that app but not coming through hangouts. Anyone have any experience with this or any ideas? I've flashed back to stock, but still unlocked and rooted... No change. Thanks in advance for any ideas.

Tried using chomp SMS, no change. Also, MMS appears to be unaffected.

I had this issue my first day with my Nexus... I found that toggling my mobile network between global and LTE fixed it. Then I updated profile and PRL and it hasn't happened since
