You probably need to flash the new baseband. Who is your service provider, maybe it's just an APN configuration issue. Settings-->Wireless Networks-->Mobile Network-->APNs and see what is there. Let me know if this helps
Yeah, you need to flash the updated radio rom. Check this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=611787
Thanks for replying back.
I went to ABNs under mobile network settings and nothing came up. Do you have any other suggestions that could maybe help me out?
On the home screen my phone says,"insert sim card". Don't know what the issue could be because my sim card is inserted into my phone. THANKS AGAIN!!
@Omnichron: Im sorry "APN". @hejay: I just updated my radio version to 2.12.50. Phone still isn't working, which radio version is the newest? I'm new to this, so plz bare with me. Thanks for replying back.

Hi i have a t-mobile wing and i tried to update my rom version. im currently running 4.17.405.2. i used the update from the t-mobile site but it wouldnt work and said to check my connections. i also tried on my laptop and it wouldnt update it from there. i then tried to flash a ROM using flash center and i made sure to install the enablerapi files and clicked the herald-uspl, but it still wouldnt work. it said something about not detecting the rapi. i installed the rapi to both device and storage card but still no go. please can anyone help me i would really appreciate this.
if i flashed a gsm radio on a cdma? jus curious cuz i did that
Get your operators ship rom, then flash it via SD card. Reflash HardSPL and then flash a CDMA rom.
Oh dear. I could be wrong, but I seem to remember when someone has done that before, the phone was bricked (i.e. flashing the wrong radio, not just the wrong ROM). I do hope I'm wrong.

He said "cuz I did that", i.e. he *did* flash a GSM radio onto a CDMA device.
Suppose, but I would of expected a n00b to of posted something more like
"HELP!!!!
I flashed a sprint radio to my Tmo TP2 and now it wont turn on
PLZ PLZ PLZ HLP ME!"
he seemed rather calm
thanx for posting, well i thought i broke my phone a couple of days ago prior to this bcuz my phone turned off out of nowhere and wouldn't come back on even after being charged for an hr. then it turned on a couple hrs later when trying again. (dont ask me how bcuz Ive never had this problem before) and yes i did flash the wrong radio so im done for right? the reason why im being calm is cuz i thought i was gonna have to replace my phone in the first place. i was hopefully wishing on the inside for a miracle

Well, unless someone comes forward and says otherwise, I'm sorry to say yes, I think you're done. In the past one or two people have posted up a similar scenario and I don't recall them posting to say they fixed it.
It might cost you less than replacing your phone if you pay for your phone to be repaired.
Well possibly not. IF you can still get into bootloader (hold the volume down button when powering on or if device is already on hold down volume down and softreset) first LOOK AT THIS TASK 29 POST HERE BUT DONT DO ANYTHING YET!:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=649191
Make sure to download the file provided, extract it to wherever.
Now goto this post here:
http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=90342
and download the correct radio for your provider.
Replace the NBH file from the TASK 29 threads package you extracted with the one from your provider.
Run the task29 as instructed.
Once its done it wont boot into a rom you need to go back into bootloader like I told you how before (Volume down and reset) now find your providers stock rom from here:
http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=91940
and flash that rom to your phone. Hopefully this will resolve your issue, best of luck to ya mate.
To anyone ready to post disagreeing: Please dont post up saying about task29 and saying it wont work and stuff, I have fixed two worldphone this way because the owners did exactly what he did, in the way I described here.
thanx aestivalisakito im willing to try what your taking about. have a couple of questions tho. its not that im making it go into bootloader. when i hit power it goes str8 to it. could that be a problem for this fix?
my screen sticks at the multi colored screen with writting in the background saying" code error please try again".and i noticed that, one time while powering on b4 getting stuck. it, for a split sec. try to go to the grey screen to flash and says "loading No image found" then back to multi colored screen. does this help any?
also can i use task29 thru sd card?

Ahh it appears you weren't that clear. If you get into the multi-coloured screen, you are at bootloader. Download a rom from http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=HTC_Rhodium/Shipped_Roms to get your original shipping rom. Once you have done this, put the nbh on the sdcard named as rhodimg.nbh. Reboot back into bootloader mode. This should then get you able to flash the device with all the proper stuff.
Make sure to get the one for YOUR original provider.
thanx i got it fixed. someone helped me on another forum with the same solution and it worked thanx for ur reply

Awesome. Glad everyone helped you get your phone back. Just be more careful next time. Cheers!
so all you did was SD card flash an original ROM from your carrier? just asking for future reference.
I have a nexus s 9020T rooted and clockwork installed. I installed a custom rom (CodenameDroid-(MOD)-1.3.3-NS4G) over at nexus hacks and now my radio is not working...Anyone help pls im freaking a little bit. I get error 7 in clockwork mod when trying to revert to stock 4.0.3. Can someone help me to get my radio to work with this rom or help me get past the error 7 so i can revert back...Thx
You installed a NS4G rom, for the sprint (CDMA) version. You should try to install the GSM version (notice the forum you are downloading the rom from). If it doesn't help, try to flash an appropriate radio for your device, such as XXKI1.
Oh I just saw what i posted and yes i downloaded the file for 4G. Can i just flash the other and fix it or?
Thanks for your quick reply do u have a download link for that radio? Thx
Ok i got the radio file dl...One other problem maybe u can help, Google wallet was working fine until i updated to the wrong rom, now it say initilizing device and hangs forever. will i be able to use google wallet again? Thank u for ur help

Edit: Just saw that you found the correct radio. You will now need to reflash an appropriate rom or nand backup in order to get your phone running properly once again. That will most likely get your apps working again.
Thx for all ur help so far, i got google wallet to install again but google prepaid card says prepaid is unavailable. Does anyone know how to fix this?
I had a ATT inspire 4G running on android 2.2
I rooted and installed CWS with easy ace root. worked perfectly
then following another guide I found, I tried to flash update-aospX-1.0.0-AR26-DesireHD-signed using recovery.
But my phone was stuck on the white HTC screen and didn't go anywhere. Trying to solve this issue I wiped everything with recovery and flashed this: GizRoot_v_2 (1) which I found on this forum as a rom made similar to the stock rom. this worked and now phone was good but the guide did say to change the radio.
I tried to update my radio via hboot with sd card, but it always got stuck on the installing part and never finished. After researching it the problem was that I am still S-ON and you cant change radios while S-on?
I have spent 4+ hours googling and researching I have about 12 tabs open with different guides. I am very frustrated at this point
I Have a inspire 4g phone that works but the radio doesn't work. 1st it would connect to the movil network of the carrier but the wifi did work. I changed the simcard to another provider and it did work calls were made and internet data worked. but now wifi doesn't work!
I would like to have the phone back to factory setting and stock att rom. how can I do this, I used a RUU exe, but it always said error connecting to the phone. the RUU is RUU_Ace_Cingular_US_1.80.502.3_Radio_12.39.60.19_26.06.04.06_M_release_166557_signed
or maybe I am doing it wrong?
help please
edit: I booted phone to fastrecovery usb and ran the RUU.exe again, this time it went all the way to wiping and sending then it said an unknown error occurred right after updating signature and sent me to error recovery step 0, followed prompts but nothing worked
Flash boot.img from fastboot. Read the Ace Think Tank in Desire HD General for details.
steps
Ok
So.
I booted into recovery, wiped data and factory reset, wiped cache partition, wiped dalvik cache
installed from sd card update-aospX-1.0.0-AR30-DesireHD-signed. rebooted device into fastboot, connected usb cable.
downloaded android-win-tools and extracted into one folder. I also extracted the boot.img from update-aospX-1.0.0-AR30-DesireHD-signed into the same folder.
I opened a cmd window, went to said directory. typed fastboot.exe then fastboot devices. my device is there, then I did fastboot flash boot boot.img sending boot, writing boot ok.. did fastboot reboot...
and HOLY **** IT WORKS...
I still have to test wifi gps calls etc
EDIT: WIFI WORKS, GPS WORKS BLUETOOTH TOOK A WHILE TO TURN ON BUT WORKS, and calls work! camera works yey!
MIUI on Inspire 4G
Hi,
I need something like that too.
I bought my phone from USA in 2011, Android 2,2, i think, and with MIUI on it, locked on AT&T and I use it in Europe.
I unlocked it here in Europe and everything was fine.
So, the phone started work slow and after 2 years of use it I didn't receive any system update. My husband bought one same model, no MIUI on it, but HTC Sense I think, AT&T locked, unlocked here, but he received the system update and worked fine.
Now, in my silly thinking, I started to look for update on Internet and I saw that the Android is already 4.2. and I have 2.2. And I said, man, that's why is not working so well.
So, I upgraded my phone to Android 4.2.2 JDQ39E - the most stupid thing I could do. Starting that day, my phone is freezing non-stop, it restarted itself while I am talking on the phone. The apps are not working well, are freezing often. I read on AT&T website that for my model, the last Android is not 4.2.2 at all, but it was too late.
I found out how to upgrade the MIUI and I did it. This is ok, but this MIUI it makes me cray. I don't like it at all.
I WANT TO GET RID OF MIUI AND PUT SOMETHING ELSE INSTEAD OF IT. And put the normal Android system that my phone support it well.
HOW I CAN DO THAT?
Please help me with some advices before I will creat a new model: HTC Inspire 4G smashed.
Thank you so much.

Uh mate, It's best to go back to Stock Roms for that. And Everytime you guys go upgrading and degrading Roms, It's best to make a backup image with Nandroid.
Easiest way to go back to stock is find the proper RUU's for your phone.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1385016
Pick one of these, Download the RUU, Plug in your phone and Let the App do it's magic.
And take note, It's going back to the STOCK.
After that, Use the AAHK tool or search around the forums to unlock and S-Off.
Good luck.
Thank you!

Thank you so much. Before I will do what you said, I will read all the threads about AAHK and how to unlock. I need to be informed before to do it. It is a little hard for me to do all these steps, but I will try. If I will succeed, than I will reconvert my job
Yeyyyy
