I am getting the google talk auth failed message after doing the ultimate unbrick. I managed to root and get root explorer on. I tried battery,up/down, power but it just locks me on a samsung screen. Any thoughts, would be mighty appreciated.

I have seen only two solutions..a hard reset...
or manage applications...fing google services framework and clear data/cache then reboot. After it finished booting open up youtube and accept terms of service, open gmail, then open market. This seemed to fix it for me
Thanks mred! You put me on the right path. I first tried the hard reset through the privacy setting. That locked the phone again. so odin again. Then tried your 2nd method and it failed. I googled hard reset and came up with *2767*3855# and dial and worked like a charm.

After updating around 20 apps (altogether ), I noticed the phone was not functioning normally so I tried to reboot it but now it is stuck on Google logo. I've never unlocked the phone nor used any custom roms. I'm on the latest stock rom 2.3.4
I tried removing the battery and putting it back but didn't work. Vol. up + power and then Recovery didn't work either. It gives me a triangle with ! in it and stops right there.
I also tried the USB Jig that forces the phone into downloading mode but it gave me a screen that asks (Unlock bootloader?) with some warnings but I don't know how to accept that. Niether Vol buttons nor Power button worked there
I didn't want to mess up with the phone until I hear from you guys. Please help
up.......
You might have to actually root it or use the Samsung exe back to factory. That is if you don't want to mess with it because if I ware in your position I'd be going back for a new phone. You did nothing wrong and you have 1 year warranty on it.
FYI, the triangle with ! actually is recovery. The UI is hidden until you hold power and press vol down.

Thanks man, I didn't know about that
Is wiping the data (factory reset) going to delete my stuff stored on my SD card? like pic., music, vid. etc?
and do I need to actually wipe the data or will wiping the chache only work?
Factory reset reverts your phone back to the way it was when you got it.
That means all your account settings, device settings, installed applications etc are gone. Everything stored on your SD card will remain there - it's a different storage. The good thing about our Google phones is that you only have to login to Google once and all your stuff is back.
You can try wiping the cache first and see if that works, it won't harm anything. But if that doesn't work, I'm sure a factory reset will.
Good luck.

Can you connect your device to your computer via USB and start "adb logcat" at the Terminal/Command prompt? Does it give you any kind of readout at all?
Try doing a hard reset.

One thing you should consider is just returning the phone, especially if you never flashed or rooted or unlocked bootloader.

No. The device doesn't even show up when I type "adp devices"
Is there anything else I should try?
Thanks
I can perform things with Fastboot
I don't want to root or unlock the phone. Is there anything else I can do?
I tried typing Fastboot update update.zip after downloading the stock rom update 2.3.4 and putting it in the SDK tools directory but it gave me the msg "faild to upload update.zip"
Try to reset with Odin.
Hey guys.
I just felt that i had to write because i have done everything in my power and searched my ass off with no success.
----
To the problem.
My computer cannot find my phone, it does detect it but the phone doesn't show me any "activate USB mode" screen. The phone just does nothing.
This all happened very suddenly, and it specially happened after installing chainfire3D.
Anyone there who knows what i should do in order to fix this problem? and my main goal is to remove the "superuser" app in the menu so that i can at least get my warranty back.
---
It seems that the phone is half rooted and half not.
When updating superuser binary it tells me that there is no "su" path and it does not update.
Z4root freezes and dies
Superoneclick doesn't detect phone
Check root tells me that i am not rooted.
i am still on stock room, i just rooted it for some apps that i wanted like chain-fire and so on.
Please guys help me if you can would be much appreciated.
This should work: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=17177547&postcount=2
Try it out, it's quite simple.
you can also use this guide, it helped me when i used it
Hello , looking for help to unbrick a partially bricked phone that allows me to turn on and use mostly everything , it seems to reboot itself every once in awhile. I can goto Kies and and try to repair but that doesn't work , also have odin with factory file and that shows Fail every time i try that. Hoping someone can help try to get back to factory settings.
Oh and i have read for 2 days here downloaded files and tried everything i can , but nothing seems to work. And when i restart phone it seems to go back to exactly where i left when it got bad root file or something. In the phone part even after i erase calls , it shows the people that called that day every time it gets restarted.
If anyone can help and walk me through , i'd be greatly appreciated. And i've watched i don't know how many youtube vid's on trying to get this back to factory mode.
Thank you.
just go into download mode and flash stock rom through odin.....

I've tried mutiple times and always comes up FAILED.
Tried Kies option also....
Apparantly its stuck in Titanium backup mode and occasionally does a reboot on its own sometimes. But even if i try to reboot after erasing tons of stuff out of it.... it comes back to what it was or how it was. So basically the titanium even though it shows up nowhere in my apps or phone... it keeps reverting my phone back to where it was when it got messed up.....
Try this

I don't know if the fail you get in Odin may be caused by having the wrong settings. I have ran into a few tutorials online that use odin, each one had a specific way. Try running it again with all the options unchecked except for the Auto Reboot. Also make sure you place the correct file(s) in the correct slot. example: any bootloader file goes into the bootloader slot, etc. make sure its checked. Then run again, this may be the only reason your getting a fail, it may have nothing to do with Odin or your phone.
Of course disregard this message if you had already fixed you problem. Also another possible fix would be to use ADB command to push the files to your phone, I suggest looking into it, there is a good amount of info on it online. It could help down the line with future issues to know ADB. Here is a website I found helpful, it is a guide to using ADB sideload to save bricked devices. ------- (android-revolution-
hd.blogspot.com/2013/12/ow-to-use-adb-sideload.html) note: just copy everything after the dashes and in between the parenthesis and paste into url bar on browser. sorry i have to be difficult, first time posting on this site and they wont let me post in a link, but this guide may be the answer to all your phone trouble. Plus I know how you feel, I just bricked my phone too and I know how agravating it is when nothing works.
Good luck and let me know how it goes
Thanks

Thanks Bam.... I'm just in need of all stock files Including the PIT file which is like impossible to find it seems to try and get this phone back to factory reset mode..... The phone actually works but anytime it reboots or save anything...ect.... it just reverts back to when it got tripped up. Thanks again for anyone's help.
After around 5-6 hours this morning/afternoon, I've officially given up on fixing this on my own, and I've all but accepted my device to be a $600 paperweight.
I decided to make one last attempt at saving it by posting for help.
Problem: My phone has a feature called "FRP" (Factory Restore Protection), which is tied to one's Google account. Basically, if you have a Google Account on the phone, it locks the phone to any custom binary/custom OS/whatever.
Once I realized this, in order to root my phone, I went in and removed my Google accounts. Sure enough, this disabled the FRP Lock, and I was able to root my device.
After rooting my device, I re-added my Google accounts and went about my business for the next couple of weeks or so.
Just this morning, my phone was having issues charging, so I decided it'd be a good idea to give my phone a reboot. Big problem. It turns out I simply haven't ever turned off my phone since I rooted it. On top of that, I didn't think the FRP Lock would apply to booting the phone, I thought it only affected flashing new firmware. I was wrong.
After my phone turned off, red text appears at the top of the screen: "Custom binary blocked by FRP Lock".
This is the problem. It simply cannot boot. Because it cannot boot, I cannot remove the Google accounts to disable the lock and resolve the problem. Because the lock can't be disabled, I can't flash the phone's original firmware, because FRP Lock will stop anything and everything I try to do.
---
Goodbye 1k+ photos on phone... And, well, goodbye *phone*.
Unless someone has any helpful thoughts! And that's why I'm here.
tl;dr: Soft bricked phone due to FRP Lock. Not able to restore original firmware, factory restore, or boot into phone's operating system.
Important: The phone turns on, and I have access to the recovery menu as well as "Download Mode"
---
What I have tried:
Factory restoring through the recovery menu, doesn't have any effect
Flashing stock firmware through Odin (Nand write failure)
Flashing a custom recovery environment (TWRP) through Odin (FRP Lock blocked this flash)
ADB and Fastboot cannot recognize the device
Tried to use Kies 3 and Smart Switch to "re-initialize" my OS or something. Both failed, saying that my phone wasn't compatible, and that my serial number was invalid (it was, in fact, correct)
---
And I probably did more things that I simply don't remember. The point here is that I've done everything, and literally everything has failed for one reason or another.
I feel like it is a possibility that if I attempted another stock ROM, then I might be able to avoid the Nand Write Failure. But again, I don't know, and I've almost accepted that I need to start looking for cheap alternative phones.
Thanks in advance, I really hope that this can be fixed one way or another. I'd be sad to see my photos disappear, but if it was the only way for my phone to work again, I could live with it.
have you tried delete the operating system and then flashing a stock rom using odin
by deleting the OS you have a blank phone with google deleted, thus disabling FRP lock.

I thought about doing that, but I have no way of wiping the phone. What do you suggest?
you can wipe the phone through recovery. it is under the advance section. you will need to delete each section manually.
1. Go to download mode
2.Untick auto reboot,
3.Flash twrp
4.do not reboot to system, reboot to recovery.
5. Install super su and reboot system
Done.

I was unable to boot into the phone.
However, I've more or less resolved the issue.
The issue was that when I was first trying to flash stock firmware, I was using an old version. I've read since then that that doesn't work. So I spent 15 hours+ downloading the latest firmware of 6.0.1, and sure enough, it flashed successfully.

Would this work with the Samsung Account Factory Reset Protection?
My company uses an app called Mobi Control (an MDM) to limit and "lock down" what employees can do with their phones. Here's the problem...the app is just crashing on one of the phones. So I cannot access it remotely and reset it from the computer. I cannot push updates to it. I also cannot reset it from within the phone. If I try to enter Download Mode, all I get is the "Binary Download Mode is blocked by MDM. Phone will reboot in 3 seconds". I have also tried the following:
1) Put it in safe mode and tried to remove or reinstall MobiControl, no go.
2) Use ADB to sideload anything or factory reset, no go.
3) Set it to factory reset after entering the passcode wrong 12 times, it just keeps asking me to try again, no go.
4) Use the USB jig to go to Download Mode, same blocking error, no go.
5) Reset or push a new firmware or anything else using Kies, no go.
6) I can't disable MobiControl as a device administrator from within the phone, the option is greyed out, no go.
7) Push anything with ODIN, but because it is not in download mode it doesn't work, no go.
I'm looking for any help as this phone is a brick right now because of it. I need to give it to a different employee but can't set it up properly because of the blocking. MobiControl claims there is nothing they can do. If that is the case, I strongly urge anyone to stay away from Mobi or any MDM software. I've seen people have similar issues with Airwatch.

You have to try and remove it from being and administrative app
Cannot do that. Mobi won't allow it.
I would even be willing to send this to someone to see if there is someone smarter than me that can factory reset this.

My company use Airwatch so i'll go have a chat with the guys in IT tomorrow and see how they resolve the same issue with our handsets.
You talk about it crashing but then you say you see the admin option greyed out? So can you actually start the phone or not?
Also have you tried, google Find My Device and factory reset it from there? I'm sure this is a loophole with this type control app...
I should clarify...the app crashes when the phone boots or any time you click the icon. immediate crash. The phone boots fine. Did the IT guys ever offer any ideas.
hi friends i did it successfully and get ride off mobi control administer on galaxy tab E SM-T378V by using odin last version and it,s latest firmware.
but important point is that in odin first use BL file due to omit all info on mobile and mobile goes to boot loop .
then use odin and enter all BL,AP,CP,HOME CSV .
THEN START
