Registered for Beta-testing and installed the APK... can't go past the "enter your phone number and press 'Continue':" screen.

Viber is very similar to whatsapp. Unlike Skype, viber no need to sign in. Work like whatsapp. Been a while iPhone is having it.

After subscribing at http://eepurl.com/bW1Ln you simply need to wait several weeks from our invitation email. Once you get it, you will be asked to fill out a form verifying the same details as the original subscription, and then you will be sent to download the APK and complete your installation.
If you get the APK without following this exact procedure (in the *exact* same order), you will NOT be able to activate.
Our waiting list is long, so a little more patience is needed

i am using for 3 days now on wifi and seems good sometimes echo and sometimes clear sound i guess depend on the connection.
did not using on 3g yet(no data plan sorry)
overall its nice app to have,need to support more devices.

its a great app!
but does not yet recognize international viber users from my contacts yet.
hope this is fixed soon!

There should be no problem recognizing users from other countries. Please specify what country you and your friend abroad live in, and provide me with the number FORMAT of both you and your friend.

i'm a viber beta tester in italy.
I'm using viber with galaxy tab. Works very good both in 3g or in Wifi. I can call viber user crossing platform. From Galaxy to iphone 4 and viceversa. Message works too.
Actually the only thing that not works "very well" is Notification Icon that suddenly re-appear even if i have select "no notification in status bar".
The autoupdate of Viber contact and the last one the calling popup that stay behind the opened application. If i'm on opera or other application i can hear the call ring but i have to close opera to see the viber application with button to answer or reject.
But i'm very satisfied of Viber as a beta.

Well its works great on my galaxy tab I have had only 3 crashes so far but that was when I was on froyo .... also before u update any of the viber beta update make sure u uninstall the old version or u will get force close ...
When will tablet version be added or would I say full supported if I may ask pls ??

Hi Viber folks!
I subscribed to beta few weeks ago.
I had an Archos 70it at that time, and app was not working
Now i changed to a Toshiba Folio 100, and would to try it again.
I just download the viber apk file, installed, but it is still not working (not start)... is it viber working just in presence of a phone module?
Because if so, it will be very pity! Besides, Skype and Fring works like a charm...
EDIT:
My toshiba Folio is mounting a 2.2 version of android...

I think i found what's the problem:
I got the confimation email for subscription, but never received email for download from Viber..

Thanks for developing such a great app... I love it.. and it's working fine on my Tab.. I do have a question though.. when will Viber support Bluetooth headsets?

1. @riccardoroma - we are aware of the notification icon bug. we fixed that, and it will be implemented in the next beta version.
2. full support for tablet - we don't know yet. For now we are focusing on fixing general bugs with all devices, so it might take a little while.
3. @spino1970 - In order to activate Viber, you need subscribe to be a beta-tester, get the confirmation email, then wait (several weeks) for our INVITATION email. inside that mail you will have a form to fill, and only then you will be able to download the APK (if you get the APK without this process, you won't be able to complete your installation). We ask for your patience
4. About bluetooth - we haven't fully tested the integration of Viber with BT. it will work better and better in future versions.

I received an invitation for Viper test Android version from the Software installation has completed and test capabilities.
But when 2 days the SDCard and backup my entire file corrupt. And Viper application and SMS activation code are missing from re-flash ROM.
I would like to know how I can install this Viper application and send activation code for me again. And then I tried to downloading the Viper application from the email that was sent for me sometime.

When you click a link appears registration page I've put information until then, it has text below.

Try installing Viber and enter the exact same telephone number as the one you originally registered with.
Otherwise, I'm afraid there isn't really a way for me to help you other than subscribing to be a beta tester again

[Q] How to solve WhatsApp and Viber issues in ICS & Sense 3.6

Hi 2 all.
I've updated to ICS & Sense 3.6 yesterday. Not rooted or something, regular OTA update.
Well, I'm very very happy how my Sensation is working now, and really, there are no downsides as far as I can see.
But, I have 2 stupid issues with WhatsApp and Viber.
Before, on Sense 3.0 and GB in WhatsApp and in Viber I would see all the pictures from my contacts that uses those apps. Majority of contacts are linked to FB, and also their pictures, and that is working now generally, but in Viber and WhatsApp I dont see pictures from contacts that are FB linked.
Other contacts, that have contact picture, but not FB profile are shown normaly in Viber and WhatsApp?!
Second thing is that in Accounts & Sync when I go to Add Account I see Viber, but when I click on it it just opens Viber, and it is not added in Accounts & Sync.
Does anybody else have similar issues, and has anybody solved those?

I use viber but not whatsapp so this is a partial answer only.
I have the same issues as you mention with Viber. I contacted their support team through xda, and they are working on a solution. Apparently there are issues with how viber uses the android api, things went differently with GB and they are adapting them to ICS.
I must add that viber over both 3g and wifi sound good with the latest version to date.

I fully agree, Viber is working great regarding calls over 3G/WiFi.
I hope they will fix this contacts/API issue on both apps.

We are working these days on a major new update for Viber that will hopefully be released within several weeks.
We recommend that you try that new update and see if the problem persists there. If so, please do let me know and we'll take a closer look at it.

Hello, Thanks for the update.
On version 2.2.3.109 which is better but still no integration of Viber with the native ICS contact list. Please can you tell me if there is a timescale when this may be done.
I have an Xperia, where Skype and even Tango contacts are integrated. for me its coming to the point when you need to start getting rid of Apps you do not use often. Viber does not have the advantage of video calls but is used by a lot of friends which is the big plus point.

Unfortunately, at the moment Viber does not integrate with Android's native contact list - this is known and we're trying to solve this issue. In future versions we hope to bring back this feature, and once we have news we'll let you and our Android users know.

Urgent! Dreadfully need help! Lost Android Text Messages!

Hi all, I have been using Snapchat these days to chat with my friends so seems haven't been Real texting for long time. This morning I got a message from a VIP customer of his schedule to London next week. While I was about to dab on showing the text but what the hell!!! The phone crashed and rebooted automatically, not only my client's SMS but all messages stored on my phone vanished. No problem I can ask my client to send again his plan but what about the rest messages?! My brain stopped working at that exact moment.
I have been searching so hard for a solution to quick regain lost message from Android phone. Yes, forget to tell you that I am using Samsung GT-s5300. After reading and googling for ages, I find that "Myjad Android SMS Recovery" might be the most suitable tool for me at the moment.
So now I need advice! Whoever has utilized this program before is very much welcomed to post a comment coz your opinion would be a HUGE contribution to me. Urgently need reply. Thank you millions in advanced.

Whatsapp Calling Feature [Official] Activation *No Root* Easy Proces

Whatsapp Inc. has released a beta version for testing the calling feature. It just needs the latest version of whatsapp .531 which can be downloaded through official website. After downloading you need to be called through someone who has that calling feature activated. Answer the call for 2 sec that's it. The app UI changes to calls and chats. It will be activated. It has been tested and worked for many members.
UPDATE: The servers are down Please be patient I will call everyone as the servers are opened again.
UPATE 2: Come on folks do not post your numbers here. Personal message me. I have already got more than 100 numbers. I take no responsibility if you get any fake calls or messages. And please be patient I have contacted whatsapp they said it was a test feature which was released to test they will soon update it to all.

Guys the servers are down now. Please do not post your phone numbers. PM me your phone numbers il call you as soon as the servers are opened. Make sure you you lift the call for two secs and cut it.

I can help you enable your whatsapp call feature.

Before request....
You don't really need to change the .XML or anything else in the app. Changing XML will show you the call button but you'll not be able to use it. I've tried it!
Make sure you are using latest WhatsApp version.
And.... Do not use any modded version. Using it will create problems only as told in other threads.
My contact: Removed ([whatsapp only] please. Do not call, otherwise I'll have to block you.)
Please see my whatsapp status first. If it is positive, just message me and I'll call you. It may take time to reply because there are many requests.

Currently its not working.
I can call, talk to new users who don't have calling enabled. But its not enabling their call feature. It was working OK last night.
I was using v2.11.561
I haven't updated it yet!
