Urgent! Dreadfully need help! Lost Android Text Messages! - General Questions and Answers

Hi all, I have been using Snapchat these days to chat with my friends so seems haven't been Real texting for long time. This morning I got a message from a VIP customer of his schedule to London next week. While I was about to dab on showing the text but what the hell!!! The phone crashed and rebooted automatically, not only my client's SMS but all messages stored on my phone vanished. No problem I can ask my client to send again his plan but what about the rest messages?! My brain stopped working at that exact moment.
I have been searching so hard for a solution to quick regain lost message from Android phone. Yes, forget to tell you that I am using Samsung GT-s5300. After reading and googling for ages, I find that "Myjad Android SMS Recovery" might be the most suitable tool for me at the moment.
So now I need advice! Whoever has utilized this program before is very much welcomed to post a comment coz your opinion would be a HUGE contribution to me. Urgently need reply. Thank you millions in advanced.

Sorry, you seem to be in the wrong forum.
This is for support related to the Themer App alone.
Try asking in the Android General forum.

I've never used the app you're asking about, so I need you to be patient until some of our more knowledgeable members or staff can pop in with some suggestions.

I think that a lot of people are skipping over this thread because the title makes it look like you're looking for warez. Rename it maybe or pm me and I can rename it for you.

Be aware 'Scam' App : U need 2 read this ! It may cost u money if u don't!!!!

Hiya,
I'm bagofbits and new to these forum's and was not sure how to contact anyone at XDA so after some after advice from LUFC (forum moderator) here is my situation.
I have a wildfire s and been viewing those forums, during the last couple of days since the change over from android market to google playground or whatever it's called these days, I've been getting a popup app in my status bar saying please download 'battery supercharger' . I've been just clearing my status bar but it just kept coming back.
Today by mistake i downloaded it and got loads of texts within minutes and ended up with a charge of £4.99, I text 'STOP' to the number given. My network provider(3) can't help and I've mailed google help about it and they have logged it and are getting back to me.
Also a number of post's on the web about it...
Anyway enough rambling, I've searched the wildfire s forum and can't see any mention of it, just thought that it would be useful to post something about it so nobody else falls victim to this.
Give me a thanks if u could please.
Cheers
Oh might be an idea to check recent downloads you have made that contain ad's that may harbor this scam.

The ad you saw in your status bar used ad over the air function.
There are some apps which will detect apps using the add. Method. And will give you the ability to uninstall it.

Try airpush detector from the market to find out what the offending app is.

Unfortunately this is true, you have not stopped the messages - just confirmed to the spammers that the number is live and real. 3 may be able to help you by blacklisting the numbers you are getting messages from - also have a look here if the messages persist.
This is a problem that is by no means limited to the Wildfire S - recently I recognised an app on my friend's Samsung Galaxy Ace as being malware - it was also generating notifications about some kind of battery optimizer. I managed to remove it before she accidentally signed up to anything.
Regarding the app, try some apps like Lookout Mobile Security and BitDefender . If you run a scan with these, they may find the offending app and help you to remove it. Good luck!
solution to battery supercharger text costs
saw the two text messages yesterday, spoke to Vodafone told them to block any charges today, up to which time charges hadn't gone through. So hopefully this will cost me nothing.
even if they had placed the charge, I would have asked Vodafone not to pay it, and kicked up a fuss until the agreed not to do so, or carry the cost themselves. Anybody with a mobile phone contract is in a very strong position at the moment I have noticed, getting lots of freebies off them.
thanx for ur advice
but i think it is not harmful

Read deleted SMS

Hi all
My son 13-year-old must submit his phone to me every night. Is there any software that I can read his SMS event if the SMS were deleted?
I will appreciate all your ideas and advices.
Here's an idea, give your son some privacy.
Sent from my HTC One X using xda app-developers app
Even tho I agree you should give him privacy and build trust with him, I'll help you out.
You could get a app (not sure of name) that makes a nandroid of every thing (including SMS) and have it set on a timer to do so. So at a random point in the day it will backup everything in it and restore it quickly to see what's up, then unrestore. (Maybe titanium backup?)
If his phone is rooted you can easily do it with the app called undelete.
Im a parent I get it. But I think you're going to far and invading their privacy which will cause he or she to rebel big time once they find out...and make no mistake your kid will find out.

Protecting you child by giving him no privacy...
Besides if he wants to hind something from you he will, your options have been given, but then again he could prevent any of them if he wanted or just delete messages as soon as he has got them so at the most you get a couple
Hey guys, don't assume anything about the OP's reasons for asking the question.
Maybe his son has had bad habits or "friends" that no "real parents" would like their sons to ever meet.
He asked a technical question (giving the reason why and he could have just asked the question "as is", which would be my advice for any of such question in the future) and if you don't want to answer it because you think it's "bad", well, don't answer it, but please, keep your remarks for yourself.
If you want to discuss about parenthood and the like, there are forums dedicated to such subject. xda is a technical site, so let's keep it technical)
The nandroid backup is a good idea .
Another one
If your career allows you to get your messages, sms, mms, and even voice mail by email (in some unified messaging system or even with IMAP), you could use that. Usually, the messages are NOT deleted from the messaging server when they are deleted from the phone.
My own career provides such a service.
I think we are done here.
Thanks.

Using Exchange email with Email.apk and hitting Reply All keeps adding me to the cc!

Exactly as the title says
If i email a person at my company with my phone, it goes directly to them
If they reply, it comes directly to me
If i reply - my default setting is Reply All - it adds my email to the CC
So because they emailed me, and im replying All, it adds me again!
This is fairly annoying!
Anyone else?
I don't reply often from my phone, but the one time I did, it also added me on CC. Kinda annoying.
Haha! So I'm not alone!
Try this though... Create sub folders under your inbox folder and try to use the mail widget for your inbox folder... Or, same thing with the unread email search folder. See if it ever updates after the message is marked as read, or retrieve new unread messages even...
IMO, Google really fudged the corporate mail app in kit Kat... Highly disappointing for a company with ample resources to do better.

Im getting a lot of force closes now
Same here, and there is no option that I can find to turn this off.
Very annoying.
Im getting a lot of bugs with this
lots of force closes and it seems to be draining the hell out of my battery.
Google Services is almost always the #1 on my battery usage

It never used to do it in 4.3, started in 4.4. It does it for me on my Nexus 4 now it's upgraded also.
Seriously annoying.

[Q] GO SMS Messages, Phone Hacked?

Hi Everyone,
I'm kinda worried about a few messages I've received from "[email protected]" within the last few months. The "[email protected]" address suddenly changed one day to "GO SMS TEAM." Please see the screenshot I took of the two messages.
Is someone trying to send me something or do something to my phone? I clicked on the "get it right now" link on the 02/10 message and it said not available or something. I tapped on the second link in the 02/20 message and it took me to some theme page telling me to download it (I didn't).
Can anyone tell me what's going on because I'm getting really freaked out. Has my phone been hacked?
Has anyone received these specific messages in February? If so, could you please post yours?
Help! Thanks in advance!

You could ask here:

Immediately uninstall anything by the Go Team. Their stuff is lousy software anyway - bloated and buggy - but more importantly has serious security concerns.
Uninstall!
Android since v1.0. Linux since 2001.

that thread is closed now and is not supported by the dev. ask them on their official blog http://gosms.goforandroid.com/?cat=1 or just block the dude. he's using a Go SMS proxy name to send you free messages on Chat.
