Hey man. Why don't you just one click back to stock and that will give you back and lock everything. Then reroot and unlock the bootloader? I was gonna mention this over there. I think no matter what route you take its gonna wipe your phone. Also with the issue your having returning to stock might not be a bad idea.

I think that's what I'm gonna do and do a full wipe of my phone delete absolutely everything and start really installing Roms. I wanna get into reviewing so I think starting at stock would be good

Use the one click return to stock, your phone will be stock again in 5 minutes.

I don't think there is a one click return to stock for GSM nexus.

That's too bad oneclicks are the way to go. There should be Odin files for the GSM nexus, and Odin has never failed me other than the time I bricked my friends galaxy s 4g, but those are weird phones and have nowhere near the developer support that the nexus or even the epic has. With Odin I brought an epic back to life after a toilet splash.

Random Reboots

So I have a refurbished Stock SGSII Skyrocket (At&t) on 2.3.5. the phone will work fine for awhile and then will randomly reboot. I first tried to factory reset to see if that would work, and it didn't.
Anyone else having this issue, and how did they solve it? Thanks!
Take it back.

Not mine to take back. Friend got it on craigslist. Couldn't if he wanted to.
Well since you can't take it back then you might as well try rooting and installing a custom ROM and see if that solves the isse. If it doesn't, you can always give back to stock.

Sprint ICS OTA

So the NS4G finally got the ICS update? Is there any prerequisites, like only available for wifi? Just curious before I go back to stock so I can get it. I only rooted and used a custom ROM to take screenshots. Any help would be appreciated.

If you want to stay rooted you may be better off flashing a stockish rom. There are a few devs who have stock and rooted ready to go. Only thing I would say is to back up beforehand.

I updated my NS4G and then rooted after the fact. No problems here. As for a prerequisite, just backup your SD card since rooting will delete everything

This has been covered so many times. Please search a little harder. We see one of these at least twice a week. It means nothing. Carry on.

My device did this bone stock aswell...not sure why. Normally you will get a custom unlock screen after rooting with odinand flashing a recovery thru ez recovery on a locked bootloader. the fix, unlock your bootloader.
no I didn't do nothing that's why it's so weird I'm not even rooted,I have all the tools but haven't done it yet.

I've noticed the ,sg3 forum is so quick to respond thanks.but not rooting atm, I'm ok with stock, I'm still learning a whole lot, coming from an x,x2 I do appreciate this phone, and I have rooted both my other phones, ran eclipse on both and loved it, this phone runs better then both of them.no reason to root,or custom Rom yet...I'm doing a ton of reading first.learning everyday.
P.s.let's keep it friendly we're not Apple..
