[Q] Apple Magic Mouse on TF? - Eee Pad Transformer Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi everyone,
I've been the happy owner of a TF for the last 3 weeks, but from the beginning, I've been looking everywhere to see how to get my apple magic mouse work with the Transformer...
It works on the Xoom, so I thought it would not take long to a good cook to have one work correctly for us. I'd have done it myself if I had had the talent, but it seems fairies did not bend over my craddle...
I've bought a logitech 555BT to move my cursor, but the Magic Mouse is much thiner and would pass perfectly in a TF pouch...
To any cook, or anygone with a solution...
Thanks!

Anyone?
I can't believe that absolutely nobody is interested in this mouse. Is it impossible to extract the drivers from the xoom?

I think your best bet would be going to the custom rom threads and asking the dev to implement the drivers for it.

Can one of you Smart people help us I760 owners?

Hello. On the samsung i760 the front keypad does not have any sort of t9 mapped to it. This was a function that alot of us expected and I was wondering if its possible for someone in this forum to pull the feature off your phone and put it into a .cab file(donations would be made!!). I am not sure this is even possible but Im trying everything. Thanks
bump please.
I can try it, but I don't have time today. I don't even know when I will have time, my weekend is packed. But I could basically do it!
appreciate it man.
what thee update?
so i guess nothing?
I will upload something today. What kind of T9 do you have? Vox has Tegic XT9!
I dont have t9 at all. I have a front dial pad but my device is a wm6 pro device. Samsung i760 to be exact. Thank you.
btw what does the S720 and S730 have?
I dion't know, but I assume that it is XT9 as well. Maybe I have to dump the ROM, because you can't copy the files from the phone, and in the kitchen the files are not compiled. Let's see!
alright appreciate it.
so bump please good sire.
please??????????
so what is the update here?
Why don't you just use the QWERTY keyboard? Just asking out of curiousity since I had an i760 for a few months and only used the front pad for smart dialing.
To add, the Diamond Keyboard has the T9 function, if T9 is the input style you like.

The reason we got devices with the form factor of front 12 key and slider QWERTY is because sometimes we don't need to type out a full message and T9 does fine on the front keypad. I can't see why there is any good reason for Samsung to have left this functionality out. What a dumb idea.
I do know that I am not getting another device with a different factor. I am really looking forward to the HP Oak. I just hope they don't butcher it like HP are known for.
Tried the diamond keypad thing and it was no dice that is why I am asking for this. This is great for a short answer that does not require a slide of the keyboard.
I guess nothing thank you though.

I Think you should ask for this kind of software on another board of this forum. You could ask in the Main forums and not in the device specific as there are more people there to help ..

Need help

Hi guys,
I am looking to buy a pda for work, but need help on which one. Have been looking at an iPAQ. Will be working mostly with Excel documents. Also, need to be able to work with Word and PDF's. Can anyone give some advice.
Thanks,
Chris
all windows mobile pda's meet those requirements
Great. Anyone have any experience with this one - http://www.pressdigital.com.au/phones-classic-pdas-accessories/ipaq-enterprise-handheld-p-5551.html
Thanks
Well, I took the plunge and ordered this one. I will post back to let you know how it goes.
Hi Amiller,
A friend of mine uses the PDA you mentioned. I asked him, and he said he loves it and would recommend it to anyone. If you have any specific questions, feel free to ask.
Chris
I appreciate the tip. I got it today, and love it. Really easy to use. Love how easy it is to check my personal and office emails, open and edit all my docs and excel files. I would like to get a bigger keyboard though for traveling. Any suggestions?
I would recommend the HD and second the G1
Good luck in your desicion
Thanks. I just came across this one. Anyone have any experience with it?

Looks good. Bluetooth, full-size, fabric...

I bought the iPAQ, and I am looking for a good keyboard for traveling.
I bought that keyboard myself a few months ago, and love it. It is as easy to use as a regular keyboard, but very convenient to travel. I love that it is bluetooth and I don't have to worry about plugging it in. I couldn't go back to using my old mini keyboard. You won't be disappointed.
If you have any questions about it, please let me know.

Thanks for the advice cajohnson. I just ordered it and will let you know how it goes.
Received it today. Had it out of the box and typing away in 15 minutes. Works great. I can pack it in the case with my pda and go. Types like a full size keyboard. Makes my pda much more functional. Appreciate all your help.

Got a new WM after a few years, what's changed? Please get me up to speed!

Hi Guys n Girls,
Well I've been a member since '05 but haven't really played with WM's since the Magicians and Alpines. I've had a TyTn but didnt like it and didnt really play with it and then lost an XDA Orbit on the first night down the pub with it. I've been using an N95 lately.
I've just got myself a Polaris and it looks great! I used to love modding my other WM's but it's been a while and I was just wondering what's changed and what's new. I've had a bit of a read but just need some advice on what software to buy and what steps to take.
So here's a few questions I have:
What's the best media player?
I will listen to a lot of music and watch films while on the go. I used to use TcpMP I think. I need one that supports a lot of codecs and don't really wanna use more than one.
What's the best keyboard software?
I had SPB full screen keyboard and it was a lifesaver. Is this the best? I like the zoom fuction on the ipod keyboard.
Is SPB pocket plus still a must?
I felt this package covered bits left out by MS (such as the real 'x' close button etc.) Is it still recomended or are there other ways around things nowadays.
How do I get this touch flow stuff? It looks cool - http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=y78EB0rahQA
I love the way things are more fingertip oriented. I think Apple innovated this.
Is there still a program to design themes?
Or where can I get cool themes? I like the dark styles and windows 7 looks nice.
Is ROM flashing still risky?
I've got the o2 branded ROM at the moment. I used to love trying the community's ROMS but I've just started a family and I'm real skint. I bought my Polaris PAYG and really can't afford to brick it. Mind you cooking ROMs was half the fun!
The best PDF reader?
I read a lot of PDF's and remember never finding one up to standard. Ideally it will be fullscreen with no need to scroll along the lines.
What else do you guys recommend I do to get the best out of my HTC device?
I've forgotten loads and feel like a noob again and just need some advice about what you guys consider 'must have steps'. I remember things such as installing the widdicomm BT stack as the MS one is crap. I use bluetooth stereo headphones (motorola S9s) for music.
Hope you guys have some pointers for me and I'm looking forward to playing again!
I'm off to the read the Polaris Wiki
Thanks,
Gareth
p.s. Oh by the way it's great to see this community has gone from strength to strength. It really has grown! It seems to be the HQ of the WM world now. Congrats!

Not really true - at least not yet. (Albeit, highly possible, given that at least game development for WinMo has almost entirely ceased in the last half a year....)
It's only at some categories that iPhone is MUCH better than WinMo (with much more SW titles); the most important being games.

Replacing my Universal...

Hello there, I'm planning to replace my HTC Universal after great 3 years of working! and I'm still pleased with it to be honest!
My new PPC should has a keyboard, so my question is simple! is the HTC Raphael the good choice to go with?
I know there is the SE X1 as another choice, but I think I liked the HTC more
What do you think?
so guyz...no replys at all?
I really like my Raphael and as far as i worked with it, i had no problems and would recommend it.
There are (of course) some bugs, but they can be fixed with progs out of this forum. So if u are not afraid of spending some time in setting up ur raphael this could be ur new favourite.
The keyboard is pretty good (for my opinion), the buttons are small, but i don't have a problem hitting the right one, even though i got thicker fingers.
If u have some specific questions just ask, i'll see if i can answer.
hi there
having used the universal and then using a hermes as a day-to-day device and now the raphael i can only say that im glad i bought one!
the size of the device is simply astonishing for what has been crammed into it
what do you primarily use your device for?
the universal is a well seasoned device with much support and it appears the raphael is heading that way too!
Thanx guyz,
No problem at all with spending time fixing bugz cause really I like these stuff and I enjoy searching and fixing...that's what kept me from replacing my Universal
good to hear that about the keyboard, cause I really need it and I think by time I should be used to it...
yup, the size is a great thing compared to the huge universal for sure I'm now a medical resident...so I will use it to have some books around me all the time beside its internet & phone cababilities...
there is nothin specific now in my mind to ask, but I got a positive impression in general and I think I'm gonna buy it soon
I'll get back to you!

[Q] Help choosing tablet between Toshiba Folio 100 and Advent Vega & clones

Hi all. I´m new here, I´ve used the Search but I couldn´t fine any post comparing these tablets nor here nor under their respective sub-forums.
I´m searching for a new tablet (my first tablet was a crappy chinese Mid V7 mounting a Via wm8650) and my budget is a bit limited. I wouldn´t spend more than 200€ or a little more, that´s around 300$.
The thing is, I´ve got the chance to get one of the above tablets for a reasonable price but i´m not sure which one to pick.
I can get the toshiba in an auction for less than 200€, 2nd hand. And a mobii point of View new for 210€. I´ve read the forums here, about the Toshiba and the Advent Vega (as the PoV seems to be a clone) and still, I cannot decide.
Not sure the toshiba is another clone of the Advent vega, but it really looks like. I see no big differences apart from the 16GB of storage on the Tosihiba versus the 4GB on the PoV.
So here are my questions,
¿Are both tablets basically the same one? ¿Are they able to run the same customized rooms, like the Vegacomb etc...?
¿Which one is more reliable, if I can use that term? ¿Which one is easier to root/customize/update with new roms etc...?
To sum up, ¿which one would you pick?
Thanks!
Sorry to bother but I´d really appreciate any help here.
i´m running out of time as both auctions I´m following for the Toshiba end tonight, and I really don´t want to pick the wrong tablet.
