Phone Model - Samsung Infuse 4G

I got one question but not sure if this is the right one.
Phone is rooted and installed Rom Manager. Once I clicked Rom Manager, it asks me 'confirm phone model'. I don't see samsung infuse on the list but only
Galaxy S Fascinate , Vibrant, Captvate, Galaxy S4G, Si9000. Which one I should use?

Doesn't matter, only one dev ever released ROMs via ROM Manager, and he pulled those releases because ROM Manager caused too many problems:
1) Green CWM would mis-flash too often
2) Those who did successfully flash would come to the dev thread without reading the first post of the dev thread. Manual downloads force people to at least read part of the first post.

[Q] Flashing a kernel compatible with CWM

Hi, I am new here!
I have rooted my SAMSUNG GALAXY ACE with SOC and just downloaded ROM MANAGER, to start exploring new roms... however, turns out that for Samsung users we need a kernel compatible for Rom Manager. I need to do this to be able to Flash CWM recovery; as when I click that option, it does not come up with my phone model.
Anyway. The Dev says I need to flash a CWM compatible kernel... How do I go about doing this!? I have downloaded an app called SGS Kernel Flasher, but I assume I need to download a kernel before I can use this?!
I have searched round for an answer, I have found many forums in the Galaxy Ace with this particular issue but there apears not to be an answer...
Please help!
arghhh i knew it! nobody knows! samsung you suck I want my HTC back

CWM for Exhibit 4g SGH-T759

I am new here, so I am sorry if I am posting it in wrong section but before posting I did follow a rule "Search before posting" ..
I am using Samsung Exhibit 4g SGH-T759 with 2.3.3 Gingerbread.
I rooted it via ZerhRushRoot .. I can't seem to flash CWM, tho .. I got the one that was by jocala.. I tried the ADB method and the recovery method, but nothing seems to do.. Even downloaded Rom Manager and it won't recognize my device. Gives me a list of following device when I press "Flash ClockWorkMod Recovery"
- Google Nexus S
- Google Nexus S 4g
- Samsung Epic4g
- Samsung GalaxyS i9000
These 4 devices are displayed in the "Confirm Phone Model" menu .. I have tried every single method explained out there before posting this topic .. Again, I am sorry if I am posting it in a wrong section

As it turns out, there is no CWM available for this device. And I feel your pain because this is the phone I use also. A combination of SetCPU, Optimus RAM for Root, and JuiceDefender have made mine a powerhorse though. There are still many great reasons to root, even if you can't flash ROMS. I believe I read that this device can be used to flash ROMs if you use the ODIN program. It's more complex, but does the job from what I've heard. Hope this helps.

[Q] Fearful of "Confirm Phone Model"

Hey guys , names Carocrazy132 I'm native to a host of other forums so feel free to flame if I make noob mistakes, I deserve it :highfive:
Anyways, yesterday I got my new Galaxy S Blaze 4G (on 2.3.6) via T-Mobile contract and some $ and I love it. Today, I rooted it and installed CWM via Odin 3 v1.85, however, I didn't use CWM on my last phone (Motorola Droid X2) so I don't really understand how ROM Manager (v5.0.2.1) works and I'm scared away from clicking like i normally would by the following message: "Confirm Phone Model". It lists the Galaxy S i9000 and T-Mobile Galaxy S2, but certainly no Galaxy S Blaze 4G. I followed several links to the CWM ROM Manager section (which I can't post the link to) where I still found no Galaxy S Blaze 4G.
Are most features of ROM Manager not working, is there another phone compatible with it, does it not matter, or is there another way?
ROM manager does NOT support our phone. DON'T click anything. UNINSTALL ROM MANAGER!! Manually get to CWM, although, ROM Manager can take you there.
Yea if you are using Rom manager to boot into recovery/download mode I suggest using Quick Boot. It works on GB and ICS roms and is very simple.

[Q] Cannot use Clockworkrecovery Mod

So last night I decided to root my Verizon Samsung Galaxy Note II and used this thread as a guide: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2024207. All worked fine in the end, no problems. So today I decide I want CM10. So in the guide to install CM10 I am instructed to use CWM to do the actual installing part. Well, I have used ROM Manager and a plethora of alternative methods. Not a single of them work. Every time I try to boot into CWM I get this menu titled: Android system recovery <3e>, not the CWM one. Even the actual ROM Manager app says I have CWM installed properly. I would appreciate any help.
Also note this is my first Android device I've ever owned, and am a total noob to the entire rooting community.
I guess CWM cannot be upraded by ROM manager, try other method mentioned in your device forum to uprage it really.
keep tryin'

Dang. I've tried pretty much everything. One of the update methods says to put it into download mode to update via Odin. Every time I try to do that it takes me to that Android system recovery menu I talked about.

Which type of ROM do I download?

This is going to sound like a noob question, because it totally is:
When I go to a ROM's download page I am confronted with a large variety of devices, but they all are just a bunch of numbers and letters which mean nothing to me. I have a Verizon Samsung Galaxy S3. I got it on launch day. I figured I should download the version of the ROM called "d2vzw", but then a tutorial that was made just for the Verizon version of the phone was using a "d2att" version of the ROM and when I last tried to put a ROM on my phone (failed because I could not get any service) the tutorial suggested I use a version of a ROM that started with an i and then had a string of numbers.
The main reason I ask is because I don't want to put the wrong ROM on, which is what happened last time and then I had an even bigger problem on my hands! The other reason I ask, since I will not install a ROM until I know for sure now, is because goo.im takes FOREVER to download a file.

Whenever you visit a rom site, make sure you download roms for the device name: d2vzw or sch-i535. Both names refer to the VZW GSIII.
